I ate here once prior and today is my second time. I ordered Al pastor Alambres and asada tacos. I love sauce and good tasting meat. Taco trucks are one of my favorite things to eat and I have tasted A LOT of different ones! A random person referred this one to me and I gave it a try. It's relatively close to my home, they make the food quick and have reasonable pricing. Lots of good sauces to go and a nice well lit sitting area. I'm not certain as to whether or not most people just grow partial to the taco trucks closest to their home, but it's kind of difficult to resist temptation if you're standing within 30 feet of this one. The smell of various meats searing on their grills is enough to convince you to break a fast or forget about your diet altogether. Though I haven't the opportunity to eat here often, my favorite items to order are tacos de lengua or a tripas torta. The tripas are the perfect combination of crispy/chewy and the lengua is always full of flavor; never too chewy and never dry. Aside from the menu items, the salsa bar is always stocked with cilantro, radishes, onions, limes, and 4 different kinds of salsa, all varying in spice-levels (or lack thereof) and flavor. I typically grab 1 or 2 of the salsa verde (spicy) and roja (spicier) but will sometimes fill a few containers with the avocado salsa (not spicy) that they have. It heavily compliments just about any of their available menu items without instilling the fear of an impending heat-stroke (not that I don't adore my tongue being ablaze from time to time..) It also works well with the radishes I love to stuff my face with. :D (There's also, like.. a basic pico but that's pretty staple, ain't it?) Aside from their salsas being tastier than what most others around the area seem to offer, (please don't take offense, anybody. o_e;) staff is always super friendly and allow that I take radishes and salsa even when I've no money to purchase anything. The cooks are easy-going and great at what they do and the cashiers are always very sweet, so please don't forget to tip if you can. (: They also seem to put up with the local berserkers pretty well but it's something you (still shouldn't have to..) get used to, I suppose. You won't regret stopping by this truck for dinner or, if you're feeling fat (or, uh, understandably famished) - a late snack/meal. The atmosphere is welcoming (there's a long row of benches to sit and eat if ya wanna), the surrounding aroma is delightful, and the food is always cooked to perfection. Given how fast they sometimes prepare your order, surprisingly accurate, too. Though I've yet to try all of their available menu options, my experience here has been nothing but positive. I can guarantee the same for anyone who decides to give them a try. I believe they're only open from early evening until midnight, so be sure you arrive when the truck is actually there; it ain't hard to miss, especially because of the alluring neon signs flashing away at, like, 60fps. :) read more

You can't find a better taco truck. Period. I've had some of the best, most flavorful carnitas ever here, with just enough burnt ends to add a toasty wholesomeness to the meat. For $7, you can get a hefty burrito (which holds together nicely), along with freshly fried chips, whole beans, and sauteed onions and jalapenos, not to mention there's a fresh and salty salsa bar. Ordered a bunch of Tacos and every single one of them was delicious! Seriously...Great tacos. Asked for tacos de cabeza, asada, tripas (extra crispy), and lengua. The chef was generous with the flavorful meat in them all and served them with literally the most simple yet DELICIOUSLY DELICIOUS tostada with frijoles "del olla"...I really don't know how they made it taste so darn good, but I'll take it! They have several different salsas to try, and I have to give them big thumbs up on them all! Chef also added spicy roasted serranos and sweet sauteed onions for an extra treat. I really don't understand why there are such high reviews for this truck. Every single night I always drive by it and I ask myself two questions: "how" and "why". Before I gave this truck a chance, I would always drive by it and I would see long lines and big groups of people ordering food. Long lines means the food must be good right? One night I was in the mood for tacos or burritos. I was in the area and I decided to give it a try. HUGE mistake. I ordered two carne asada burritos; one for me and one for the sister. These burritos should be named the onion and cilantro burrito. Neither my burrito nor my sisters had enough meat in it. Ever single bite was just onion and cilantro. And on top of that, these are literally the smallest burritos I've ever seen. What a disappointment. The salsas were also weak and flavorless. Never again. Don't let the lines fool you. CONVINIENCE is always a plus (: so this truck I guess is the new truck on this block therefore it is the one I go to. So they got all hi tech and have a register and they accept credit cards! woohoo lol they also have a food grade A (: the tacos are very tasty and their red salsa is really good. They do charge taxes now which was only a matter of time before the Taco Trucks began to tax as well so can't really complaint on the fact that you end up paying about $1.35 per taco. Just average unfortunately. Went there yesterday and picked up a buck of carne asada tacos and one burrito. The flavor just isn't there. You can barely taste the meat and therefore need to add salsa and all the add ins to make it tasty. Even then it's average. read more

After twenty plus visits over two years, I still have never seen another white person enjoying the unique offerings of this mobile Mexican eatery. The truck moves down PCH as the morning progresses, starting near Malibu and eventually ending in Pacific Palisades. From 7:30 - 9 am, the truck is typically stationed at Topanga and PCH, but always good to call ahead and confirm the location. Breakfast Burrito - $3.75 It is unlike any other; a thin piece of ham steak, crispy bacon, diner-style greasy hashbrowns, thinly fried/scrambled juevos and thick slices of melty cheddar cheese. It might not be the best bfast burrito, but it is delicious in its own way. Highly recommended. There are a lot of other menu items, including all the standard meats you would expect like carne asada, carnitas, etc. in taco or burrito form. And Sopes, which are very popular with a lot of customers. But I just can't bring myself to deviate from the deliciousness of their unique breakfast burrito. Instead of buying an overpriced (and mediocre) pastry from your coffee place, or even worse grabbing preservative laden chain food (a la Jack in the Box), hit up El Primo for some delicious home made Mexican food. read more

Had late-lunch from here today.. While it isn't the best taco truck I've tried, they seem to have that spot locked down, typically busy; it seems like they're Always parked there! (Saticoy/Reseda). Gf had their chicken torta which was pretty good actually. All the works, with an unexpected twist: ham! Not sure why they add the ham, but no complaints there. I had two tripas tacos and two buche tacos, both were just OK. The tripas were better than the buche, though again, not the best. Also got a plain asada taco for the kiddo, which he actually mostly ignored because they give you this tasty little tostada w/each order topped with plain, whole beans which was another welcomed surprise! We all actually really liked the beans and the tostadas, nice little touch. Next time maybe I'll go with a torta myself :) read more
