We normally place orders online or call in for pickup. I like the Tacos Estilo Tijuana (including the asada, adobada, and birria. Other options to choose from which I have not tried yet are the pollo, cabeza, or lengua +$0.50). The birria quesadilla is also really good and take the left over portions to work the next day. They give generous amounts of wrapped condiments: sliced radish, lemon or lime and choices of red or green sauce. Service is friendly.
Love the Tijuana-style tacos! I've been coming here very often because they are absolutely delicious. The place is always busy, and I usually have to wait in line, but it's definitely worth the wait! They give you plenty of sauces, limes, and radishes, and the service is always great. Highly recommend!
Outstanding Carne Asada street tacos, very tasty and very well filled with meat, onions, cilantro and salsa. Some of the best Mexican chow the wife and I have had in ages. The only draw back was the nacho's, their chips do not hold up to all the yummy ingredients and soon become quite mushy. I'm thinking they're old or from a bag, not made in house on those tortilla chips. All in all we look forward to trying more of the menu, we hope you will investigate this place as well.
This is my favorite taco spot! Tijuana style or regular--both are great. I always end up ordering way too much Honestly, their birria is the best. Whatever you order from the menu, get the birria and a consomé on the side. The only downside is they don't have restrooms.
They get a 5 for FLAVOR. Go! Go! Go! Go! You must go here to try their Tijuana style tacos or their amazing birria quesataco. FYI- "Tijuana style" means all the additional toppings and guacamole added. The flavors here are exactly like Tijuana and prices are very kind to the wallet. They are some of the best tacos I've had in SFV, and their birria and steak are well flavored dripping with moisture. Thank you El Tijuanense!!!!
I have been to the Woodley location several times but never to this one. It happened to be "Taco Tuesday" and this girl was craving tacos. There was already a line at 5:00pm but it seemed to be moving quickly. They had a special for "TT" so I ordered 2 Queso Birria tacos, 2 Chicken Tacos and a side of rice/beans to go. (I would not want to sit and eat at this location...ZERO ambiance and not a lot of seats). The staff was very friendly and because I paid with cash they offer a slight discount. I waited maybe 10 minutes until they called my number and then I was out the door. When I got home 30 minutes later, my tacos were still warm. I loved the Birria...Yes, a bit greasy but most Birria Tacos are...I ate 2 of the Birria, 1 chicken taco (also good), and some rice & beans...I was full! I would go back again but I think I would try something else. No prices were posted on the main menu which I found annoying but not gonna stop me from going back. *Plenty of parking in the lot
I still remember when this place was basically a wanna-be Panda Express. It changed over to this and only now did I have a chance to check it out. The menu isn't large but has all you need. It's nice inside, service is friendly and quick and you pick up your order in a window. I got a carne asada burrito and came out to $14.66 after tax - note there is a credit card charge so it'd have been cheaper if you used cash. Wife got 3 burritos and chips and beans on the side. She forgot to ask for chips, so make sure to do that if you want that as well.
Ok I came here since I heard a lot of hype!! So overall the food was decent...3/5 for me! I ordered the queso taco and I felt it could have had a tad bit more seasoning and less grease. It wasn't too bad but not really what I thought it will taste like. However, maybe I should have tried the street tacos, something simple and what they are popular. But the service was good and fast! It's small inside but enough seats. They do have many food options to choose from and they have menudo on Saturday and Sundays. I will come back here to try something different. We were brought here by our LA local family. They said, "there really is no good Baja style take out here in LA". I think I should've got a burger from next door at Bob's. Ok, but not my findings of a good Baja Mexican take out. Seems the further away from the TJ boarder you go, the more distant I feel from the So Cal Baja Marxian flavors and textures. Very mediocre CaliMex interpretation. I've had much better from a far lesser known establishment; even with the beans and rice that filled the Carne Asada burrito. The plain cheese quesadilla (and yes, I had to repeat "cheese only") was made with the most flavorless white cheese ever (I'm guessing Jack cheese was used). And just who puts protein in a quesadilla??? Very unsatisfying after an evening of drinking. CritDicks
This place is one of my mom's favorites! It was recommended by a friend and since then I couldn't stop. Anything on their menu is hands down so good. I always get the asada tacos or burritos with everything. Warning-- they do add a spicy salsa so you can ask them for non-spicy as well. Highly recommend! Tacos el Tijuanense is always a great spot to go to! They get real busy, but their service is always fast. I also appreciate it that you can order online so I am not waiting or hoping I get there before a crowd. If you catch a crowd there is plenty of seating and the inside is designed to look like your food is coming from a food truck which is very creative, at least by the low tables. I am not a huge fan of Tijuana style tacos, but the ones you get here are good. If I am ordering from here, I am always getting a Torta or a Burrito. The asada burrito is magnificent and the business always adds a generous portion of meat! What keeps me coming back is the charred flavor you get from the asada. Plus the Al Pastor is always very flavorful. The torta itself is also amazing, however, the bun is too soft for me, I'd prefer a bit of a crunch on the exterior. Yet, still a good option. Both salsas are delicious! The green salsa is more acidic, but smooth, and the red salsa is my favorite offering some level of heat. You definitely can't go wrong with stopping by.
I have lived in Southern California my entire life, so to say I have had a few tacos would be an understatement. This place has some of the best food around. Their street tacos are absolutely the best. The beef is chopped into tiny pieces and grilled to perfection with the edges charred, just the way I like it. Fresh, fast and delicious. First time here and my experience was overall positive; would give overall a 4.5/5. Despite what other reviewers said about there always being a line, I was fortunate that there was no line when I came on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were all friendly (from the person who took my order to the person who handed me the order) and my order came out correctly. There's enough seating inside, but me warned that they have no restrooms for customer use (not sure if that's even legal). Anyway, onto the food... 1. Regular Taco (4/5) Going to any taco establishment, it's a must to try their original taco. I got it with carne asada. The tortilla is corn-based and it comes with onions, cilantro, fresh tomato salsa. Overall, not a bad taco, just not the best, best. The overall flavor profile was pretty solid though - you get the beefy flavor from the shredded beef, the refreshing-ness of the cilantro, salsa and freshly squeezed lemon juice. 2. Birria Tacos (5/5) Corn tortilla lightly fried in birria broth; this version is between the regular taco and the dorados. It gets soggy quickly from the juicy, flavor-packed broth, so eat this first and fasssttt! The beef was flavorful and tender. Onions and cilantro were fresh. It not only looked good, it tasted great! 3. Dorados (5/5) This is their "crunchy" taco, which I got with shredded beef (default, but can change to other protein options). That crunchy shell was just sooo satisfying with each bite. Flavor wise, it's pretty similar to the Birria taco described above. I love the fresh radish slices they offer on the side. It's crunchy and a nice palate cleanser in between each taco. read more

It's more than tacos but their specialty is suppose to be street style tacos Tijuana style. I tried their carne asada, marinated pork and birria. The size of the tacos are of the smallest tortilla. But if you order the quesotaco, that comes in a regular size tortilla. This is also a specialty. The price is around 3.50 for each taco. The quesotaco is around 4.50. The avocado on the tacos is more of a cream style and the hot sauce, red or green are on the mild side. If you are looking for something different and on a saucy style. The Quesataco is a quesadilla dipped in birria sauce so it's a wet quesadilla. The little tacos are loaded with meat but they are small. The restaurant has plenty of parking and inside seating available. read more

Delicious tacos, I love the tijuana style! Whether you are eating here or getting to go, start by ordering at the front. The food comes out quickly. Even when crowded, seating will open up bc it's a quick and casual place. I tried the tijuana style asada tacos. It was delicious. I liked that the tortilla wasn't too thick but it held up to the job of holding all the asada. The meat was juicy. And I love the guac on top. It was phenomenal! read more
Lowkey obsessed with this spot. This is my second time ordering food at this place. Easily one of the top-tier burritos I've had on this side of town. Not gonna cap, it's a little bougie on the price--but honestly, worth it. A little spendy, but taste-wise? It's giving 10/10. They do not play when it comes to meat portions--mad generous. I'm all about that all-meat life, and their All Meat Asada and All Meat Lengua absolutely slap. Threw in a couple Lengua Tacos Estilo Tijuana with mild sauce on the side--chef's kiss. Also, big W for accepting Apple Pay (no extra fees, we love that). Massive parking lot too, so no stress pulling up. And real talk, depending on the crew, the staff vibe is pretty chill and friendly. read more

I came here because it's my most reliable taco spot in the valley. The second you take a mouth watering bite of these tacos you feel the need to order another 10. Contain yourself, be strong you're not that hungry they are just that good. Don't believe a single bad review on this place even if the service was bad I'd still give five stars that how up to par this food is. You'll catch me here again spending my life savings. read more

Pulled up to El Tijuanense and got the steak torta--it did what it had to do. Juicy, stacked, and toasted just enough to hold the chaos together. One bite and I started rethinking all my past sandwich decisions. Also grabbed a chicken taco, a steak taco, and the birria--and all three slapped like a strict auntie. That birria? Wet in the best way. My kid said it's his favorite spot now, and honestly, I might believe him this time. Some of the staff don't speak English, but you can tell they speak flavor fluently. Just point, nod, and trust the process. Decor's wild--like someone let their cousin design it--but it's clean, organized, and feels like home. No bathrooms, but lowkey that keeps the weirdos out. Respect. It's giving back-of-the-truck flavor with Bad Bunny budget. Loud, authentic, and tastes better than half these overhyped spots with neon signs. read more

My girlfriend and I love coming here when we are craving that consome flavor and crunchy tacos. She likes to get a couple of El Dorado tacos with everything on it, and I also tend to get between the torta or the burrito here. I usually only get to eat half of my meal due to the large amount so I get a great portion of satisfying leftovers too! My girlfriend finishes either her 2 or 3 tacos and sometimes if she wants to have extra oomph, she buys the consommé on the side and dips her tacos in there. They are pretty stingy with salsas so expect to receive maybe 1 or 2 small cups of either or salsa (verde or red) when you order by yourself. They also top your plate with lemon and radishes. Since dine-in involves entrees that involve hands (tacos, burritos; etc.) I wish that there were public bathrooms so the customers could wash their hands!! I have hand sanitizer in my car but the back of my mind never liked that we can't wash our hands here (even as customers) so we can enjoy the meal fully. The closest bathroom would have to be Target which is all the way across the busy parking lot so keep that in mind. The spot can get busy but if you go at. good time your order will be out in 5-10 minutes. Anyways, the taste here is delicious and definitely a treat for when we want these flavors!!! read more

I have been dining at this establishment since last year, but the quality of their tacos has been consistently poor. The meat is of subpar quality, and the tacos I have received have a pre-prepared appearance, as if they were reheated in a microwave. The tacos lack any crunchiness, making them unappetizing. Consequently, we have disposed of them. I reside in Fallbrook and drive back to retrieve my money. I am confident that they utilize the most affordable meat available. Additionally, their consomé is excessively dark, suggesting either age or inadequate cooking techniques. In conclusion, I've had Birria tacos at the Disneyland resort and have ascertained that these are better and higher quality tacos ( at Disneyland) !! read more

Been here a handful of times, the Birria tacos are pretty good here. Really all their tacos are very good. Flavor of the meats and the salsa is a great combo. They serve it with a bunch or radishes and lemons as well. Rice and beans are typical, never can gone wrong with them. Service is quick and you can use their self service kiosks or you can order at the counter with an employee. The decor inside is very minimalist, but they do have a cool mural on the wall of a food truck so it looks like you are order from a truck, but it is a brick and mortar location. That's the good. The reason for the 3 stars is I think they are way over priced for what you get. The tacos are in the small side and almost $3 for one Estilo Tijuana taco and Almost $4 for one Queso Birria taco. The size is not worth paying that much for one. Have to order 8 tacos to feel satisfied. Also, I do not like when places have posted prices and then they charge you a different price at the register, not good business. They do have a posted sign in the corner of the menu, prices subject to change, but it should be reflected on the menu u, not just charge more than what is posted. Tacos are great, thus why the 3 stars, the small size and they being expensive and charging wrong prices, makes me consider going elsewhere. Enjoy! read more
This is one of my favorite taco spots in the Valley. The service is always quick and the tacos always have a lot of flavor. I also love the salsas because they're spicy and add depth to the tacos. I ordered chicken tacos for the first time from here-the chicken is well seasoned and tasted amazing. The restaurant is always lively but they have a good amount of seating available. I always love coming here, the workers are always sweet and the tacos are fresh and tasty. read more

Yes. Nachos and quesadillas if you can eat cheese. It's not on the menu but I'm sure you can order a rice & bean burrito.
