OK spot. Decided to try this truck out as one of the few being open. By the time we arrived, they were likely closing within 30 minutes. They have some tables for seating We ordered steak tacos and steak burrito. Nothing special. Food took a long time to come out. Parking in the plaza.

Weekend Spot! That has great tasting torta and tacos and possibly anything else that I have yet to try but heard great things of other items in the menu.

The food truck has tasty meats to choose from...my go to is asada fries and tacos...kind of pricey but worth the extra money.... They have an app to order ahead but I like to order in person since it don't take long...they take cards and cash.... They have a little set up to sit and eat but no shade.... They also have nachos which are good and probably feeds 2 ppl.... They are closed Sundays

One of my go to spots in the valley for Mexican food! The people that work here are always friendly and the food is always tasty! Great location by Reseda and Nordoff St (it's a food truck right next to Dave's Hot Chicken). Give it a try, it's worth it!

This taco truck is pretty pricey depending on what you order. I was in the plaza this truck is parked at and was craving nachos so I checked out this taco truck parked on Reseda in front of Northridge University Center. I saw they had nachos on the truck menu but didn't list the price which I can see why. I asked the lady working the window how much was nachos with asada and she give me the price which I thought was pricey. I asked how much was the nachos without any meat and she said the same price which shocked me because it's just chips and cheese. So I didn't believe it was worth the price here. They take online order as well and I couldn't find nachos listed on there, maybe I'll try their tacos next time.

Shrimp and salmon taco with chipotle aioli.

Came here to try out their salmon and shrimp taco. They have two tables and chairs where you could sit and eat there. Pretty good service, they were fast. First and foremost, solid size taco, two tacos is enough to fill you up, which is why I'm giving it a three star and not a two. Apart from the size of the taco, I'm a bit disappointed. No flavor in either the salmon or shrimp. The guacamole salsa, green, and red salsa no flavor. The chipotle aioli was by far the only thing in the taco that had some flavor and spice and made the taco a bit better . The tortilla was also a flour tortilla , hence the size , if it was a corn tortilla maybe it would've helped with the flavor issue. Perhaps the rest of their food items are better seasoned ? Maybe ? Idk. But the salmon and shrimp, hard pass.

Their meat is super mid & their asada fries tasted old & cold & could've used more cheese/ guac & sour cream Their mulitas are a joke; super small & have no toppings; just cheese & meat inside, it's literally a mini quesadilla My husbands California burrito was good & the only decent thing from the few items we tried Would not go back

I had the opportunity to take this amazing experience and it was "FIYA". The fries was cooked with a crispiness and they seasoned it . It was great for that pop of seasoning that would pop up from time to time. The meal was heavy, I couldn't finish it, really made for 2 people. The meal cooked perfectly, you see the pic. This was a great experience !

I have been to this taco truck a few times and it has always been a good option. These are good tacos. The service is generally pretty quick as well. I love where they are stationed because there is always a lot of parking, I don't see that ever being an issue here. My friend and I stopped by and ordered 2 tacos de asada and 1 taco al pastor each. They are good tacos but nothing special imo. The tacos are pretty small with what I consider a normal portion of meat for the tortilla size. The asada is lightly seasoned and cooked just about right. The meat texture was soft and missing a light crunchy factor (personal preference). It wasn't dry but it wasn't juicy either. The Al Pastor was decent, it was a bit on the drier side and the flavor doesn't come kicking at you, but it was good with the toppings. As you can see from the picture there is no pineapple in the taco. They used corn tortillas which were soft and an excellent pair to the tacos. You can't go wrong with either the red or green salsa here. Plus the limes they handed us were very juicy. Bonus points because the tacos are not greasy! I would definitely give them another shot and try some of the other items on their menu. If you're considering stopping by, I would recommend giving them a shot and trying it out for yourself.

I got the Cali burrito and steak quesadilla. A Cali burrito has fries instead of rice and beans. I am rounding up from 3 1/2 stars. It was just ok for me. I think Casita Taco in Noho has the best steak quesadillas and this one doesn't really compare. I read several reviews that stated the burritos were huge here but it was similar size to everywhere else. I prefer Taco Llama for some reason. I will try their traditional burrito next time. Their chips were really good and that's what stood out for me. Check them out for yourself.

We got 3 asada tacos and 3 queso Birria tacos. The consume was not all red and oily like you usually get. SO flavorful and delicious!!!!! The asada was packed in and the tortillas were super fresh. Definitely going back to try a burrito.

First time stopping by at El Tacote on a Friday night. It wasn't packed and there were only 3 people ahead of us. We were craving for their Carne Asada Fries, Chicken Taco and Birria Taco. El Tacote definitely satisfied our food cravings. Hands down the best tacos and Carne Asada Fries in the San Fernando Valley. We really like El Tacote because not only do they have delicious tacos, nachos, burritos and fries they also have quality food items and meats with good price points. I've also noticed how consistent they are with providing excellent customer service. Their food portions are also on point. El Tacote is one of the many small businesses and food trucks that we love to support in the San Fernando Valley because not only are their food items really good, they are consistent with practicing quality and customer care.

I personally would like more meat option, like beef tongue, fish, etc. Their tacos are large and also pricey. $4.50 per regular taco and $5.50 per taco if it has cheese. I got 3 asada, and 2 pork. The asada tasted the best, I would only get asada next time. Their sauces are on a separate counter, and there's plenty of options. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. The last time I went was on October 3rd and September 12th of last year, so it had been almost a year since my last visit. The very first time was last summer with about 10 members from my Korean community group. We all thought the food was really delicious, and that's why I kept coming back. As you would expect from such a popular restaurant, there are always a lot of people here. Yesterday was no exception, and there was a pretty long line outside. Fortunately, the line moved fairly quickly, so it didn't feel too bad. After we decided what to order, I was reminded again that the prices here are quite expensive for a restaurant located inside a food court. Last year, I ordered for all four of us at once, and the total came to almost $200. So this time, we decided to pay separately for my mom and myself, while my two brothers each paid for their own meals. I ordered two of my absolute favorite dishes here, the Tostada de Kanpachi & Uni. This is something I really love because it tastes so fresh and delicious every time I have it. It's definitely a must-order dish for me. I also ordered two Taco de Pescado al Carbón. Those four items alone came to about $70. I also remembered that I had tipped way too much here last year, so this time I only left a $5 tip. (It is the food court system, even they bring the foods to our table) That brought my total to $75. My brothers ordered the large Brazilian fish, the Tostada Uni, and ceviche. Everything we had was delicious overall, but honestly, the tacos I ordered yesterday were not really for my taste at all. So next time I come here, I don't think I'll order the same tacos again. On the way to the restroom, I noticed people at another table eating lobster. I asked them where they ordered it from, and they told me they ordered it from Holbox. It looked absolutely delicious, so I'm definitely going to try the lobster next time I come here. I also really like that they have a water station near the section where people line up outside. There are cups available there, so you can help yourself to water while waiting, which is very convenient. One downside is that the restroom always has a noticeable smell. Fortunately, it's located quite far away from the dining area, but it also doesn't look particularly clean or sanitary. Another thing is that you have to eat certain dishes, especially the tostadas and tacos, with your hands. I personally don't really like eating food with my hands, but with tostadas and tacos, there's really no other way. After washing my hands in the restroom, the smell of the liquid soap is also quite unpleasant and strong. Unfortunately, I can still smell the soap on my hands while I'm eating, which bothers me quite a bit. And because Holbox is always so incredibly popular, finding a table can be difficult. Luckily, we were able to get a table pretty quickly yesterday. Overall, I still really enjoy coming here for the fresh and delicious seafood, especially the Tostada de Kanpachi & Uni. Even though there are a few things I don't love about the experience, the food itself is definitely why I keep coming back.

You can tell that it's house made and I liked the chewy texture of it. However, respectfully the filling felt and tasted like bean goo. I could only really taste the refried bean flavor which was strong. It kind of meshed all the components together into a gooey filling. I got this with asada meat and the meat was kind of chewy and not so flavorful on its own. Props to the tortilla though for not spilling everything out and holding it together well, but still a bit difficult to eat. I would ask for utensils when eating this dish. The green onion garnish was unique. I wish they gave more lime wedges because that helped elevate the dish. For $13 this wasn't too bad, but I'd rather get a better burrito from a street vendor. This is a casual eats type of place with both indoor and outdoor seating and tables. They also serve alcohol and even frozen alcoholic drinks.
