We came here a few weeks ago after spending some time with friends. Outside the special said a drink was $5, so we each ordered one. To our surprise the waitress brought out a drink said "this is the only size we have" and we drank it. Little did we know, it was full price - $13. Never were we told that the special was out or that they couldn't honor it. So I felt really misled by this. In fact, as we left the same sign was out front. The food was good tho. I had barria tacos and they were good. The service was spotty. Other than feeling misled, our drinks came out at random times and our food was delivered oddly too. The restaurant was not super busy and the waitress didn't have too many tables, so it was just odd to me. For my entree I had the enchilada trio and it was just ok, the pork was devoid of any kind of flavor and seasoning the chicken was bland as well and the cheese was bland . Heard so many great things so decided to try this place. The server was sweet and attentive. They give you complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was really good and fresh with a little heat. I got the Burrito Jalisco. It was amazing. It could feed 2 people easy. My husband got the Molcajete. It was delicious. It could also feed 2 people. First things first as soon as we got there they told us it was a 30 minute wait. We did get in in 30 minutes, but the chips were ice cold. Our server took forever to come back after bringing the chips. Also my friend dripped some caso on the table and we had no napkins on the table to clean it up. It took so long for our drinks to come back as well. When my friend's sisters drink came back it was supposed to be a Shirley temple but it was BLACK... My friend also asked for a water and that never came. It took 35 minutes for our food to come out, just to be decent at best. My wife and I ate there on Saturday November 19, 2022. I had the burrito Jalisco. It was huge. It was loaded with chicken, shrimp, steak, chorizo, rice, beans, etc. No guacamole for me. It was seasoned well, delicious. I asked for hot sauce, the server brought me house made sauce. I loved it. It had good flavor, nice amount of heat. Delicious! My wife ordered Carne Esada tacos. The steak was tender, well seasoned, delicious. The refried beans were creamy, very tasty. The rice was OK, under seasoned, definitely needed salt. Overall, very tasty meal. We've been here once about 4 years ago. The service was slow the bathrooms were dirty and the food was ok. Well .....we gave it a shot again last night and wow!!! We're happy we did. Wednesday Margarita specials are worth coming mid week, even with a few drinks and some queso, dinner came out to ~20$ a head. My wife and I had lunch at El Ranchero (The Rancher) restaurant. I ordered the Burrito Jalisco and my wife had the Sopa Azteca (Aztec Soup). The burrito was top notch, wow , and my wife said she enjoyed the soup. She finished the entire bowl of soup, which is amazing, because she usually ends up taking leftovers home. I on the other hand, had to take 1/3 of the burrito home. It was outstanding in flavor, savory, and delicious, but I got full on such a BIG burrito. I highly recommend these two menu items for lunch. The service was equally good, attentive, checking back on the customer's needs regularly. Good lunch prices. Now I'll need to go back for a dinner experience, which I'm looking forward to. Stopped by El Ranchero with the family recently. We drove to Ranson to visit my nieces and nephew. The last time we were in town, this restaurant didn't exist. I'm glad to see the city expanding. I had the pollo loco, and while different than other versions of the dish that I've had, it was still very good and filling. They didn't server Modelo Negro, but they did have Model Especial, so I ordered a tall one to go with my meal. The food and service were good. read more

When we got there the service was quick and excellent. They were on top of us with drinks and chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were made fresh in house and they were amazing. I couldn't finish my food because the chips were so good I kept eating them. The salsa wasn't too spicy and the cilantro in the cup was a great addition. The ceviche is out of this world. It was a solid 10/10. The lime juice and the shrimp complimented the dish perfectly. We had a small issue with drinks and the waitress fixed it right away. Oh and she was also doing a 14 top table while servicing us so she was on top of it! The atmosphere was lively and happy. Lots of natural light which I love. I ordered chimichangas to go and what I got was plain soft flour tortilla smothered in some kind of cheese sauce. they were not deep fried, had no guacamole, lettuce or tomato. when I called to complain they tried to pass it off as it was a chimichanga and wouldn't answer me as to why it wasn't deep fried. clearly they have no idea what Mexican food should be! read more

About four weeks ago, my shrimp and avocado salad was loaded with bay leaves for some reason, and the server told me that that was normal because of the salsa. So my wife and I gave it another shot because we like the place so, but tonight's service was the entertainment. The server was very nice and very friendly, however he even commented that he talks too much so that's why he forgot to come by and check on us. We asked where our frozen margarita was, and he stated, "oh, I was talking, I forgot", so by the time it got to our table, it wasn't very frozen. Then, when the food got there, everything was in good order. The meal was quite delicious. Everything was done properly this time without the addition of a handful of bay leaves in my food or my salsa but when it came time to have the bill he was nowhere to be found, we waited from the last time he visited probably about 15 minutes until he came back and goes. "Oh, do you need anything else", upon which we said yes please, we'd like the bill. So he brought the bill to us and upon looking at the bill, we noticed that the beef fajitas were about $3.60 more than the price quoted on the menu. He said he wanted to check it out, he goes over his cashier station board, looks at it, and comes back, "because you ordered the handmade corn tortillas the price is higher", neglecting to say that he never told us that there was an up charge for the handmade corn tortillas that he upsold us by saying they were fresher. They were nicely made, however I would've been fine with the regular corn tortillas just the same. The only explanation he gave us was "I am sorry I forgot to tell you", so we ended up paying a little more for that service. Soon I'll be looking at other options because this is getting a little ridiculous, and it wasn't even that busy tonight. The place looks great, and the ambiance is great, with the frozen margaritas super delicious. The food this go around was excellent, but mired with just fair quality customer service. It would be nice to have excellent service paired with excellent quality food for a win-win situation that we used to experience on a regular basis. read more

I order a combo online, 2 cheese enchiladas and beans. The salsa and chips were delicious. I also received an order of rice which I don't generally like but it was okay. Didn't care much for the red sauce on the enchiladas and wish they offered salsa verde as an option. I probably would eat here again, just nothing with red sauce. read more
