Taqueria Guadalajara has a bit of a tucked away location just on the outskirts of Winchester,…read morewhich gives it that standalone, local spot feel. While having its own building is a plus, parking can quickly become a headache during busy hours, so timing your visit makes a difference. Walking in, there wasn't a host present, which made the entrance feel a little unorganized at first. However, a server quickly stepped in and pointed us in the right direction. From there, the experience improved the service was genuinely friendly and attentive, which helped set a positive tone for the meal. The burrito was the highlight. It came out well prepared with solid flavor throughout, even though it didn't include any sides. Normally, that might feel like something is missing, but the taste was good enough to carry the dish on its own. Pricing leans a bit on the higher side, which is something to keep in mind, especially given the lack of extras. Overall, Taqueria Guadalajara delivers where it matters most good flavor and friendly service even if it has a few logistical hiccups like parking and the initial lack of greeting. It's the kind of place that leaves you debating between a 4 and a 5, but the quality of the food ultimately pushes it into 5-star territory

Salsa continues to be delicious (albeit punishing the next day), and of my three tacos, carnitas was the only one to write home about. Pescado was fishy (not in the good way), and the al pastor was, again, just okay. Pointed out my chipped water glass to the server, who was apologetic and promptly replaced it. Best tacos in the area continue to be Los Altos de Jalisco in Winchester. I said what I said.

BEWARE of this place if you pay using a credit/debit card! Our server more than doubled her tip…read moreafter we signed and left. We left a tip we thought was sufficient. She added more without us knowing till we seen it post at our bank. WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT! The food wasn't the greatest anyways. The prices are higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area for the same dishes. The salsa is to thin! It was like water. The flautas were floating in grease and hard. The Molcajete was supposed to have a sauce on top, instead it was dry. My husbands fajita meat was hard and overcooked. Best thing was the soda. At least that was right. We NEVER complained about the food to our server. We were nothing but nice to her. There was ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for her to manipulate our bill after we left the establishment.

The Birria tacos were some of the best I've ever had. If you like porchetta you must try Carnitas Michoacan. The margaritas are made with real fruit juice, no sweet tart sour mix and they are $3 on Monday. Friendly staff, great service and you know you're in some place special immediately. I'm telling everyone I see to go here until I leave.

The interior was nice, but the service was honestly one of the most frustrating restaurant…read moreexperiences I've had in a while. Our server barely understood English, and even simple questions turned into a whole situation. I asked FOUR separate times whether the spicy salsa was free. I literally said, "If it's free, I'll take it. If not, never mind." The server kept saying yes, it was free... so we ate it. Then the check comes out with a $3.99 charge for the salsa When I asked why it was charged after being told multiple times it was free, the server still kept saying "free" while staring at the receipt. At that point I had to ask for the manager because we were clearly not communicating. The manager said there was a "language barrier issue," BUT because we already ate it, we still had to pay for it. That part honestly blew my mind. If I asked about the price four times before ordering, clearly the whole point was that I didn't want it if it cost extra What made it worse was the attitude. The server never apologized once and the manager acted super confident like this was somehow normal. And honestly... the food wasn't even worth the drama. Everything was ridiculously salty, and the salsa tasted like someone mixed it with water. Cool interior. Terrible experience. Definitely not coming back.
