It's time to spice up things in 2026! If you're ready to expand your taste buds and try Latin…read moreflavors, then look no further than Que Rico Cuban Cafe! The vibe, ambiance, friendly & stellar service, and top notch food are muy excelente!!! First off, you must order the CAFE CON LECHE (coffee w/ milk)! The strong Cuban espresso will definitely caffeinate your world and you might even ask for a second cup to go! I might be a little biased, but it is the BEST cafe con leche that I've ever had on the Northshore. The cafe con tres leches is another good choice as well. You can enjoy and savor every sip of their coffees any time of year! Next, you must try the Havana Sampler (tostones- fried plantains, maduros- fried, caramelized sweet plantains, croquetas, fried yuca) with fried pork chunks. Yes, I know - everything FRIED makes the world go round! We have only one life to live so you might as well enjoy all the yummy foods from this diverse world of ours! Remember to dip everything in the homemade mojo sauce (it has a strong garlic flavor)! The Cuban sandwich is one of my favorite sandwiches and is a great lunch option. When I want to splurge, I have to get the special oxtail soup. The oxtail is fall-off-the-bone tender and full of flavor. The chef is very creative and offers special dishes throughout the month. Anytime is a good time for cocktails here! I have enjoyed many of their specialty mojitos - the mango and watermelon were both so refreshing to enjoy on a sunny day. They even have a mojito flight if you can't decide on one flavor. I also enjoyed the caipirinha (Brazilian national cocktail), which surely packs a punch (but in a good way!). Que Rico is a spacious, beautifully decorated restaurant and is the perfect place for a small or even larger group! On certain nights, they even have salsa dancing, which provides for a fun and more lively evening! Make plans to visit Que Rico for coffee, drinks, or enjoy a meal with family and friends ...it will be a fabulous fiesta FUN-day !!!

My date wasn't sure what coffee to order so the server picked one out for her and she loved it. We are looking forward to coming back as the staff was polite and professional and helped us as we didn't know anything about Cuban food.

I FINALLY got my pina colada (so many places don't have it) and this is one of the best I've had!!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The food the drinks the service was excellent! Service Despite having a limited menu specifically for Valentine's Day, service was slow. It took two hours to get through all three courses. We had the same server as the last time, and she was still warmer to my wife. I'm a customer too and will gladly spend my money elsewhere. Another thing I find annoying is they're always trying to get you to buy a bottle of wine. When I saw the special menu on Open Table, it didn't mention alcohol. We tried to substitute the required bottle of wine with mocktails, but that was a no-go. Presentation: 11/10: They make some of the most beautiful drinks and dishes. Every dish is magazine-worthy. Food Ropa Viega--8/10-the meat was chewy, but had a good flavor. The cornbread was ok. Crabmeat Spring Rolls--8/10--these were different, like a crab cake inside of an egg roll. Hanger Steak--7/10--the steak had the texture of roast, and reminded me of my appetizer. The execution, while pretty, didn't align with my expectations. Baked Banana Mango Cheesecake: 7/10: I like that it was light. Oftentimes cheesecake is heavy. Pan de Pan--5/10--I didn't try the ice cream, but this is not a good take on bread pudding. It was way too dry and didn't have much flavor. Green Passion Mocktail--9/10--cucumber-forward, but still pretty tasty and satisfying.

My wife and I have been meaning to try out Valencia and finally got around to it for a birthday…read morelunch today. Valencia, near downtown Covington, is a stylish, contemporary presence featuring tapas and traditional Spanish cuisine, with a respectful nod to the local culture. Service was friendly and attentive today, with Dara providing valuable info on menu offerings and taking excellent care of us. Today we enjoyed their specialty tapas; a Valencia roll, fried calamari, and a brand new offering - fried chicken pesto flatbread. All were excellent, with the roll having a sumptuous glaze and the calamari packing a tasty jalapeño punch. The flatbread, which we found out that we were the first to try, may have been the star of the show; generously portioned, with a thin crust, moist chicken and a zesty , but not overpowering, pesto finish. Although we were too full for dessert, several appealing ones were available. A number of specialty cocktails were also featured. We enjoyed their sangria. We look forward to returning to Valencia!

We had a large group so made a reservations, but it seems walk ins were welcome as well. The space was very cute. Our waitress made some great drink and food recommendations. And took recommendations. I got a pomegranate mojito. We ordered several appetiziers, my favorite was the beef empanadas. For dinner we got the Pollo and Chorizo Paella and the Negra Fideua. It's served family style and our waitress was super flexible allowing us to split the order between the two. I had never tried a Fideua before and it was our favorite dish! The portions were huge and we went home with leftovers. For dessert we tried the brownie which was a good balance to our appetizer and dinner. This is definitely a place I would visit again. Great ambiance, delicious food, and lovely service.
