This is not what I expected, but somehow it was! Way better than you would think and that's why you take chances. The place is cute on the inside...nothing special but the food is. I went for the slushy mangoJada's, Birria beef tacos and steak taco, three tacos each style. The slushy mangonadas added a nice spicy flavor drink, while the BIRRIA beef tacos, and the dipping sauce were excellent, very moist and tasty as were the wrap and cheese. The red beans and rice was equally tasty and complimented the meal overall. The steak tacos did not make it. It seemed as though the quality of the beef was poor and/or it was cooked too long, tasteless and hard, something you should never put in a taco. As for the shell, I thought it would be rubbery and tasteless as well. I couldn't eat very much of it before it landed in the trashcan. The service was very friendly. All in all it was an OK experience, just don't serve that bad quality steak and or poorly cooked steak with the terrible tasting shell again. You're not doing yourself any favors. The watermelon drink was really delicious and refreshing but my beef tacos were not fresh tasting like reheated beef from the day before or frozen and the green salsa looks like it was frozen then thawed out. I had to wait 15 to 20 minutes and not received fresh meat. Disappointing because the pictures made me come here. The ambience wasn't up to part but it seems like it's a local place. Parking is a bit of a challenge because it is street parking. I was able to find a parking spot right across the street even though there was snow on the roads. Found these guys on yelp and ordered from our hotel room so I haven't been to the location. The food arrived faster than it was estimated to and was in excellent condition. Nice and hot. Both my wife and I enjoyed the Al Pastor meat. One of us got the salad and won the burrito but the ingredients were the same in both. All ingredients were fresh and crispy and very tasty. The burrito and the salad were mildly spicy so if you like spice a lot some hot sauce would be an order. Really enjoyed the food and the delivery service was great. While up for my sons college home opening game, we stopped in for a late night dinner. Our server, Jesus, was extremely friendly and helpful and giving us suggestions on what to try. I ordered the house signature pizza, my son, the Birria, shrimp, quesadilla, and added grilled chicken to it, my additional son ordered the Berea shrimp quesadilla and added stick to it. When I tell you that every single item was fresh and delicious, I can't even give specifics of how good it was. The house signature pizza was one of the best that I have tried. . So glad I took his suggestion. I wish I had of taken pictures of our food, but we were so hungry, and it was so good, that none of us even bothered. One of the best places to get food. There birria tacos and birria quesadilla's are a must if you come to Albany, and you should get a churro as well. As well, food is made very quick, often takes 15 minutes and usually not more than 20 unless they're super busy. As well, their new location is a great place, and has more space to eat inside as well as two counters to make for easy takeout. read more
