Pretty tasty Mexican food a little outside of downtown Key West. The homemade chips with guacamole were great - not too much salt and a delicious crunch. The chicken quesadilla was also pretty good - I really like that there were also onions and peppers mixed in, in addition to the cheese and chicken. Would've loved a little more guacamole on the side with it, but glad it came with some! read more

It seems to be hard to come by Mexican food in Key West. There wasn't really that many spots and the ones that are there are good but they just don't have the magic that the Mexican spots in Cali do. Keeping in mind that I walked in with Cali standards I would give it a 3/5, but for Florida I think the 4/5 is fair. It was solid food just wouldn't necessarily seek this place out again if I were to find myself in Key West. As a Mexican myself maybe I'm being a bit harsh on the food but I will say the service was good. read more

This place has the most amazing food. It's really small - just a few tables - and it's tucked into a Winn-Dixie strip center. The line of folk getting to-go orders sort of surrounds you when you're sitting at a table. The servers are friendly, but the kitchen is very slow. Then there's the food. It's just amazing. I had a dish called alambre, which I had never heard of. It's a meat mixed with vegetables and chorizo, covered in cheese and served like fajitas. So good. Service is amazing first off! The shrimp cocktail is so rich with flavor and light at the same time. Their ceviche is so vibrant and packed with fresh flavor. Their portions are great so come hungry and leave full with leftovers. The beef rib soup special on Saturdays is a massive portion of perfect flavor but also lightness that keeps you thinking you can finish it all. The food is delicious. The order flow is chaos and there's no rhyme or reason as to who gets their orders when. It's really a shame because THE FOOD IS GOOD. Best way to kill business is to prioritize take out orders over in house diners. :( Hope they can find a solution and get things under control. read more

If you are trying to find delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine then this is your spot! Everything we had was delicious and flavorful. The salsa might have been the best I've ever had.. so fresh! My wife had a burrito and she looked like she was about to cry because of how good it tasted. I went with the birria tacos based on other reviews and it was phenomenal. Next time, I'm trying the fajitas! Finally, my wife got a slice of tres leches cake to go and I might just get lucky tonight with how happy she is feeling after eating it. This hole in the wall in a strip mall has 9 tables. When you first walk in you kind of want to walk out, but don't.... But appearances can be deceiving because the food was AMAZING! The service is a bit slow but they are attentive if you request something. Had leftovers the next day which were still amazing. I've been to high end restaurants where the food was not as good. Close your eyes when you go in, smell the authenticity and enjoy the taste of your food because nothing else matters. read more

FINALLY THERE'S REAL MEXICAN FOOD IN THE KEYS!! Just moved from Atlanta and was sad there's literally no real Mexican places down here. I am obsessed with tacos / Mexican food. Have had tacos all over the country and many different places in Mexico, this place is spot on. Everything you could want at a real Mexican spot. Definitely these are the best tacos in the keys no one else's menu even comes close from my hours of trying to find some on maps! This place is brand new and doesn't show on Apple Maps only google! We waited 50 minutes for to go ordering. It was so packed they told us to wait outside, but it became too hot to do that. The food sucks! This is not how Mexican food tastes. The rice was basically white rice in broth, no flavor. Beans are flavorless. The corn tortillas for the enchiladas are hard. There was barely any cheese, and what's up with orange sauce on enchiladas? That is not how you make them. Regret coming here. read more

This place is a hidden GEM!! Legit Mexican food. We ordered the chicken enchiladas, steak fajitas, mixed fajitas (shrimp, steak, and chicken), a whole fried snapper and a churrasco steak and everything was amazing.. I couldn't leave without trying their homemade flan and it did not disappoint. So glad we came here. Popped in for a quick dinner after a long day in the sun and was not disappointed. The Birria tacos were fantastic. I definitely recommend them. Got a side of rice and beans to go with it and they also hit the spot. Portions were well sized and the whole staff was super friendly. Space is a bit small but don't walk out the door.
