I only tried their chips and salsa, which was very good. Their salsa is a very good. They have appetizers on sale between 4 to 6 and we also got the queso fundido which was really. The server here is a younger gentleman that was super nice and attended with anything that we needed.. the energy here is very relaxed and laid-back very casual dressing.

Great place for Mexican food This was my second visit this year and it did not disappoint. I was alone, so they sat me at the bar. My bartender Todd was excellent. After I asked which beer was colder, bottle or draft, he said bottles and put several of my flavor on ice. I ordered the carne asada which is the best skirt steak I have eaten in the US. It is going to be hard to beat the steak I had in Brazil. The chips and salsa are also very good. I will return.

Right on Duvall St. It's dinner time, place is sort of crowded. I seat myself at the bar. Ordered Enchilada Verde. Also was served a complimentary batch of chips and sauce. Friendly bartender, fast service.

My daughter and I were looking for something delicious but not as loud and crazy as many places in Key west tend to be. We were definitely happy with our dinner here! The drinks were wonderful I had the frozen strawberry margaritas and my daughter had a mojito! I thoroughly enjoyed and quesadillas and my daughter thought her chicken and rice was wonderful... this was not a "menu" item but she is a rather picky eater and our server suggested this to her!! Speaking of our lovely server? She was helpful and attentive but did not rush us or bother us without reason!!! I highly recommend this establishment!! Side note? Even the chickens pecking our toes was funny!

We had been here about 4 years ago and my partner loved it . We were happy to see that they are still here on Duval Street. I had the most amazing Carna Asada medium rare (spot on) . My partner had the best ground beef Chimichanga he has ever had! The ambiance is nice and can be busy but the servers are able to handle it. As a matter of fact we had the best service we have ever had! August our waiter is the best server we have ever had in our lives! Not kidding he is wonderful!

Fantastic service....always! By far the best tequila selection in south Florida (and very well priced on the high end tequilas)! Never had a bad entree here, but if i go out lucky they will make you to a cheeseburger quesadilla! Fantastic!

We picked Old Town Mexican Cafe for our spot for lunch out of all the other restaurants/bars in the long and alive Duval Street. They have an outdoor decorated seating area but the bar area is under a roof and another section towards the back is indoor. So you have options. It was a beautiful day out so we decided to sit in the outdoor area and they were able to accommodate all 10 of us. Be warned - You aren't allowed to split the check. And they charge an 18% service fee besides the additional tip. For drinks, we had the Passion Fruit Margarita $12.50 and also the Prickly Pear Margarita $12.50 and they were so good! And strong. I would definitely like to try other margaritas. For food, we ordered the Salsa Verde Grilled Chicken Burrito and we were able to share it as we didn't want to be too full. It was very tasty and cooked well. If you ask for hot sauce on the side, it will only enhance the flavors. Recommendations to improve to restaurant: Servers should be able to recommend specific items on the menu depending on what the person is looking for. I asked for recommendations on Margaritas since there were so many to pick from and was only told "they are all good". Well, that didn't help much. I found the food was a little pricey for what we got. And... I was hoping for a complimentary chips and salsa how we are usually used to getting in a Mexican restaurant but... we were sad this wasn't a part of their style. For the price we paid for everything, I think it would be a nice touch. If I were to come back, it would be for the Margaritas! Thanks Old Town Mexican Cafe.

Great place to kick back with some Mexican food and margaritas in a classic Key West setting. We came to catch one of our teams play and had a great time snacking on chips and salsa while cheering them on. The margaritas were solid, and the whole vibe is super casual--perfect for a low-key night out. Even better, there was no wait at 8pm on a Friday, which was a nice surprise. A fun, unfussy spot to relax, eat, and enjoy the island energy!

Tried this place because when we walked by the night before it smelled AMAZING. Ordered the Pulled Pork Chimichanga, Shrimp Fajitas, and Beef Machaka Quesadilla. Shrimp fajitas were a hit, the waiter said they were known for their fajitas. Chimichanga was good, had to ask for extra cheese sauce for the top. Quesadilla was a bit bland, probably just did not order the best meat option. I will say, the guacamole portions were very small but still good! Salsa and chips were delicious.

    Delicious Keylime pie! Partially frozen

For a person who eats everything, this was totally uneatable. Would not recommend, couldn't even 1/3 of the food, even though I was starving

Ambience and service were fine, but the food and drinks were not very good. This is an archetypal Duval Street tourist trap.

There was live music playing, pool tables, and even some video games, so there's plenty to keep you and the family entertained while you hang out. Kids are allowed in, but they aren't allowed to sit at the bar. It definitely feels like one of those places where you can lose track of time in the best way. They also have a merch area with hoodies, stickers, and other souvenirs if you want to take a little piece of the experience home. And knowing it's one of the oldest bars in the Keys just adds to the charm and history of the place. The service was quick, you walk up to the bar and order then find a place to sit. Super chill and laid back. One fun thing you have to try is tossing a quarter into the fish's mouth outside... test your luck and see if you can land it! Can't forget the drinks! The rum punch is to die for... super refreshing and perfect for the Key West heat. Overall, such a fun stop if you're in town. Definitely worth checking out! Fun fact: - it used to be a morgue and ice house back in the day. it also used to be the original home of Sloppy Joes, before they moved to Duvall St.

Of course it is an attraction because it is supposedly the original Sloppy Joes where Ernest Hemingway hung out. It is dark inside with low ceilings. I've had dessert in the desert near Area 51, And underground in Antarctica, far from the sun. I've had it in graveyards, beneath moonlight so fair, And even in a dessert restaurant, yes, I've had dessert there! At Better Than Sex, the Fever was mine, And it tasted so splendid, so luscious, divine. I tried one of their special coffees as well, And it was so delicious, I nearly swooned under its spell. But the night's grandest moment, the finest display, Was when our waiter arrived with the desserts on a tray. He looked straight in my eyes as he named each delight, With a confidence both curious and wonderfully bright. My dessert was a huge phallus, impressive and grand, With two giant balls resting beneath it in hand. It was covered in "splooge sauce," a curious sweet stream, A dessert of such drama it belonged in a dream! I truly enjoyed this place and would gladly return If I lived nearby, where the sweet candles burn. They are masters of dessert, of flavor and flair-- A deliciously mischievous treasure tucked away there.

We settled on the cookie nookie cake, it was super fresh with many contrasting flavors that made every bite a pleasure. Overall had an amazing time and recommend this place for anything from a late night dessert or a full dessert meal. If we're ever around again, we are definitely going back and trying a lot more than just one dessert.
