The service was fantastic, we were the only ones in there and the server treated us like VIP. She even gave my grandmother a sample of the mondongo before getting a big plate. The food came out within 5-10 minutes incredibly fast. And the flavor, the freshness, the appearance 10/10/10 I wish there was another restaurant here in Orlando. We will definitely be back when in Georgia again :) check this place out!

The parking lot in the front was completely empty. Not a good sign on a Saturday night. It gave me pause and I considered trying a different place, but the one I checked out prior to this one was closed for repairs, and the one I tried prior to that one I literally could not find, so I decided to try it anyway. When I got there, it was empty, and I don't mean empty as in "the last few customers just left". I mean empty like "it's been dead all day". The staff were both sitting in the front chilling out. I thought, "Okay, so they've been a bit slow today." When I walked in the door, both the staff went in the back. Huh? I could understand the chef going into the back, but the wait staff?? She came back out front a few minutes later. I waited for her to direct me and when she didn't, answer minute or two later I asked, "Should I just sit anywhere?" She just nodded. Okey dokey. The first table I walked to still had food on the table from where it was not cleaned properly previously. The dishes and such were gone, but the staff had not washed it properly and you could see food on the tabletop. Yuk. I chose a different table, and sat. The waitress brought over the menu and a small basket with utensils, a straw and omelet green salsa. No chips or anything for the salsa, so I figured she would be bringing something for it later. I asked the waitress something about the menu items and honestly, she acted like I should know all this already. I ordered the mini bandeau paisa which was very tasty and I ate it all with no leftovers. It was served on a metal plate and I'm fairly certain it was warmed over, but it was the type of dish that is a bit better when warmed over so that was fine. I thought the waitress just plain didn't like me for whatever reason. Sometimes restaurants are not happy to see a single customer all by themselves, but about ¾ of the way through my meal, another couple came in and they got the same treatment. Mind you, the three of us at two tables were the ONLY customers in the restaurant. I saw no takeout orders or anything. Yet, the waitress acted like we were really taking it out of her to have her do her job. She served everything, but I don't think she gave even one smile the entire time. Honestly, even though the food was good, it was not good enough to make up for the feeling that I was not wanted in the restaurant. It's unlikely I will go back.

I was in…read moretown on a quick work trip and found myself right around the corner from here when hunger struck around lunch time. I took to Yelp and found Santa Maria right down the block. The location, awesome reviews, and photos made it a no-brainer. My lunch companion and I decided to share the queso fundito and shrimp empanadas and both were great. The queso fundito came with roasted corn and a garlic toast while the shrimp empanadas were plated on top of a bed of salad. The empanadas were a nice size and I would totally order these just for myself for lunch. I added a shrimp tempura taco to round out my meal. It was juicy, a bit spicy because of the jalapeno mayo, and overall a nice way to end my meal. I'll wrap this up by congratulating them on landing a spot on Yelp's Best New Restaurants list for 2025. Only 100 businesses in the ENTIRE country get on the list - so this is huge. Based on my experience, well deserved. Definitely give them a visit soon!

The cauliflower appetizer was a hit with everyone and the portion was huge. I personally would have preferred it to be cooked a little less, as it was quite soft. The patatas bravas were decent. The tres leches cake was excellent and came as a generous slice. The milk was served on the side, which we poured over the cake. We shared it among six people, and it was just enough to satisfy our sweet tooth. Our server was very friendly, and the restaurant itself is really cute. Around 7pm on Saturday evening, just as we were leaving, a man and woman started performing live music with vocals and guitar. We were on our way to the Lou Sobh Amphitheater (just a quick walk over) to see a cover band, which made for a fun night out. This whole area in Cumming is a great place to hang out.

We tried this restaurant because my husband is Honduran and his father is from Tela so we were hoping the food would be nostalgic for him. Me being Puerto Rican and Black I am used to a variety of different flavors. They had a dish my husband instantly order (yuca with chicharon $16) and it was a perfect combination of flavors and aesthetically pleasing. I ordered the Churrasco plate $25 which included tostones, veggies, and this rice and beans combo that tasted like it was cooked with coconut milk. For the huge portions we received the price was not crazy. It was very affordable to us. The host and server was very attentive to us and. Continually checked in. The restaurant aesthetics give off a local restaurant in the country for natives. They have menus in english or spanish. We are looking forward to returning!!

Food should bring us together and there's enough problems in our lives to have to put up with a price-gouging restaurant. If you want to avoid the headache, look somewhere else. My experience was so awful I filed a formal complaint with the Georgia Attorney General Consumer Protection Division. ........
