Our family from New York came to visit and wanted a sit down place that wasn't extremely busy. We found oregano! Here's what we thought. The ambiance is spacious and open, pretty clean but not much decoration. The service was pretty good for a party our size! Food came out quick and hot. The food itself was decent in flavoring. We stopped here after visiting margaritaville and wanted Spanish food. It was a Saturday afternoon and absolutely no one in the parking lot so we were a little nervous. The service was fantastic, we were the only ones in there and the server treated us like VIP. She even gave my grandmother a sample of the mondongo before getting a big plate. The food came out within 5-10 minutes incredibly fast. And the flavor, the freshness, the appearance 10/10/10 I wish there was another restaurant here in Orlando. We will definitely be back when in Georgia again :) check this place out! read more

The food was good and the portions were very good size. However, the service and presentation left a lot to be desired. The ambiance is good and similar to a small diner. The parking lot in the front was completely empty. Not a good sign on a Saturday night. It gave me pause and I considered trying a different place, but the one I checked out prior to this one was closed for repairs, and the one I tried prior to that one I literally could not find, so I decided to try it anyway. When I got there, it was empty, and I don't mean empty as in "the last few customers just left". I mean empty like "it's been dead all day". The staff were both sitting in the front chilling out. I thought, "Okay, so they've been a bit slow today." When I walked in the door, both the staff went in the back. Huh? I could understand the chef going into the back, but the wait staff?? She came back out front a few minutes later. I waited for her to direct me and when she didn't, answer minute or two later I asked, "Should I just sit anywhere?" She just nodded. Okey dokey. The first table I walked to still had food on the table from where it was not cleaned properly previously. The dishes and such were gone, but the staff had not washed it properly and you could see food on the tabletop. Yuk. I chose a different table, and sat. The waitress brought over the menu and a small basket with utensils, a straw and omelet green salsa. No chips or anything for the salsa, so I figured she would be bringing something for it later. I asked the waitress something about the menu items and honestly, she acted like I should know all this already. I ordered the mini bandeau paisa which was very tasty and I ate it all with no leftovers. It was served on a metal plate and I'm fairly certain it was warmed over, but it was the type of dish that is a bit better when warmed over so that was fine. I thought the waitress just plain didn't like me for whatever reason. Sometimes restaurants are not happy to see a single customer all by themselves, but about ¾ of the way through my meal, another couple came in and they got the same treatment. Mind you, the three of us at two tables were the ONLY customers in the restaurant. I saw no takeout orders or anything. Yet, the waitress acted like we were really taking it out of her to have her do her job. She served everything, but I don't think she gave even one smile the entire time. Honestly, even though the food was good, it was not good enough to make up for the feeling that I was not wanted in the restaurant. It's unlikely I will go back. read more

(Empezando por el terrible servicio al cliente, la cara de los que atienden debería ser con atención al cliente, amablemente) No serios, podría decirse que hasta molestos como si estuvieran hartos de atender, eso deja mala cara al restaurant. Por otro lado la comida muy desabrida, la pechuga de pollo reseca terriblemente, un pedazo de carne medio quemado, y un trozo de carne de cerdo muy pequeño.. esto para una parrillada de 2 personas. Así también una experiencia sumamente desagradable, no entiendo porque el agua sabe horrible, dan un café sumamente cargado.. como si fuera un expreso sin embargo este sabía fatal.. Es muy triste que nos haya pasado esto. La propina se da por una atención un servicio incluso un buen trato, pero cuando nada de esto acompaña a tu comida, no dan ganas de dejar nada. Small Latin restaurant located in the far end of a nearly empty shopping center so it can be easy to miss. The place is a bit unassuming, not very big and with simple decor but the food, which has a mix of Colombian and Dominican dishes, is good. The portions here are huge and the prices are not bad. All the staff was very attentive and polite so that was sweet. My only complain is the noise. We went at night time, on a weekend night(not sure if its the same in the morning), but they had a DJ in the corner going all out with the music. Don't get me wrong, I love music and I love a good dance, but this made it near impossible to have an easy conversation with those on my table. Others seemed to enjoy the dancing, karaoke and everything else going so it was just us feeling a bit off, I guess because we didn't expect that for the night. My churrasco steak was really tough and every bite just tasted like all fat and I had a hard time slicing the meat without really shaking the table lol. I guess I just got the very tough piece of the skirt steak. The mofongo was tasty. read more

This restaurant is off in its own little space, and I'm so glad we stumbled on it. The food was good- seasoned well, flavorful and cooked perfectly. We ordered a Dominican beef empanada, cheese arepa, and the parrillada para 2 to share between two adults and a toddler. There was more than enough food and could have had a bit of leftovers. The parrillada para 2 had sausage, skirt steak, chicken and pork chops. It came with two small salads, and two servings of rice, beans, and fried plantain (maduros). The entire meal was like taking a short trip to a Latin country and we look forward to going back. read more

I grew up eating dominican food every day, but don't know how to make it at home. My wife and I feel lucky to have such a stellar dominican restaurant close to home and come here a few times a month. Went here for lunch with my mom last week. Not only was the food authentic and delicious, but the service was A+++! They didn't have the combination of foods we were craving so we literally ordered off-menu and they happily accommodated our requests. I had the chicharrones de pollo with mofongo and my mom had the rib stew with mofongo. The chicharrones were some of the best ones I've ever had, and I'm Puerto Rican, so I'm picky about them. They had an amazing garlic sauce that goes with the mofongo. I also had the guanabana smoothie (made with water, not milk). Can't wait to go back!! read more

A great little local restaurant in Buford. You will be surprise of the great tasting food and service. It's definitely a place to come if you are looking for authentic Spanish (Caribbean food). It's not one of these super fancy restaurants. The lady which welcomed us and took our orders super friendly plus even took a picture of us. Our dishes was big and super delicious in flavor. Also the prices are very good and not super expensive. Oh and the restaurant very clean. A must place to come again. Try and you will t be disappointed. read more
