Small Latin restaurant located in the far end of a nearly empty shopping center so it can be easy to miss. The place is a bit unassuming, not very big and with simple decor but the food, which has a mix of Colombian and Dominican dishes, is good. The portions here are huge and the prices are not bad. All the staff was very attentive and polite so that was sweet. My only complain is the noise. We went at night time, on a weekend night(not sure if its the same in the morning), but they had a DJ in the corner going all out with the music. Don't get me wrong, I love music and I love a good dance, but this made it near impossible to have an easy conversation with those on my table. Others seemed to enjoy the dancing, karaoke and everything else going so it was just us feeling a bit off, I guess because we didn't expect that for the night. Nonetheless, a tasty place to keep in consideration.

My churrasco steak was really tough and every bite just tasted like all fat and I had a hard time slicing the meat without really shaking the table lol. I guess I just got the very tough piece of the skirt steak. The mofongo was tasty.

Food was amazing and loved the environment with some good music. People are so good and made us feel like a family! I am definitely going back.

This restaurant is off in its own little space, and I'm so glad we stumbled on it. The food was good- seasoned well, flavorful and cooked perfectly. We ordered a Dominican beef empanada, cheese arepa, and the parrillada para 2 to share between two adults and a toddler. There was more than enough food and could have had a bit of leftovers. The parrillada para 2 had sausage, skirt steak, chicken and pork chops. It came with two small salads, and two servings of rice, beans, and fried plantain (maduros). The entire meal was like taking a short trip to a Latin country and we look forward to going back.

We just moved here and wanted some really good Dominican food and we hands down found the greatest place.

LOL Mambo's Cafe is located in Buford, Ga which is Northeast of Atlanta. When we entered the restaurant after our 5k, we were seated immediately and I will say Im glad we showed up when we did, because when we left people were everywhere waiting to be seated. So, Our waitress was amazing, she didnt miss a beat all the questions we had, she answered! We started off a complementary garlic bread with a Verde sauce. It was green with a pinch of spicy, but it was very good. Next, we ordered the beef empanadas and they cut them up for us so that everybody could sample them. They were so good. I had to get an order to go to take them home to my husband. For my drink, I ordered a pink lemonade. It was almost like I needed some sugar and I knew that would hit the eight spot even though it was carbonated it still was good. For the main train I went with ANGUS CHURRASCO STEAK!! Medium well of course! Wowwwwww!! This steak was top-tier. I enjoyed every bit of it, and what I could eat. Of course, I had to take the rest of them. It came with an option of beans I went with black beans plantains in a Spanish rice, which was amazing. The chimichurri sauce that came on the steak was was flavorful yeah, I even asked for some to take home and verde sauce as well. Lol The steak was tender outside skirt steak grilled and topped with our famous chimichurri sauce (garlic, fresh herbs and olive oil). $28 My entire bill with $58 including the takeout empanadas I will most definitely be going back. I enjoyed every minute of this restaurant.

I was in…read moretown on a quick work trip and found myself right around the corner from here when hunger struck around lunch time. I took to Yelp and found Santa Maria right down the block. The location, awesome reviews, and photos made it a no-brainer. My lunch companion and I decided to share the queso fundito and shrimp empanadas and both were great. The queso fundito came with roasted corn and a garlic toast while the shrimp empanadas were plated on top of a bed of salad. The empanadas were a nice size and I would totally order these just for myself for lunch. I added a shrimp tempura taco to round out my meal. It was juicy, a bit spicy because of the jalapeno mayo, and overall a nice way to end my meal. I'll wrap this up by congratulating them on landing a spot on Yelp's Best New Restaurants list for 2025. Only 100 businesses in the ENTIRE country get on the list - so this is huge. Based on my experience, well deserved. Definitely give them a visit soon!

The cauliflower appetizer was a hit with everyone and the portion was huge. I personally would have preferred it to be cooked a little less, as it was quite soft. The patatas bravas were decent. The tres leches cake was excellent and came as a generous slice. The milk was served on the side, which we poured over the cake. We shared it among six people, and it was just enough to satisfy our sweet tooth. Our server was very friendly, and the restaurant itself is really cute. Around 7pm on Saturday evening, just as we were leaving, a man and woman started performing live music with vocals and guitar. We were on our way to the Lou Sobh Amphitheater (just a quick walk over) to see a cover band, which made for a fun night out. This whole area in Cumming is a great place to hang out.
