I am soo happy yelp sent me this way. Went out east for the sun flower festival and came across this gem. We had tacos, a burrito,and tosdadas. Everything was absolutely delicious! Service was whatever. She came went and never saw again. Fine by me. Although I loved it all,the burrito was by far my favorite. We had ordered the shredded beef, but it kinda tasted like pulled pork. Whatever it was was awesome. So much flavor and full! No lame skinny burrito filled with more bread and rice. I've passed by this place so many times and finally visited after a friend recommended it. Very fresh and authentic Mexican food. Really solid spot. My favorite was the tongue taco. The meat was tender and not chewy at all. The carnitas was great, the chorizo too, but the chicken was a little dry. This will be a go-to spot from now on for sure. This place by far has the best Mexican food on the east end of Long Island. I have eaten Mexican at other places but get disappointed and wished I'd come to El Rodeo instead. this is not a mexican place at all. I don't know why it is in the name. they don't have ANY queso or chips. they don't even put cheese or lettuce on their tacos. another downfall is the workers couldn't even tell us our total, they just showed us it. the chicken is all choppy and in little cube shapes. also everything tasted like it was microwave. for your safety don't eat here. read more

Very good authentic Mexican food. They have a pretty extensive menu with many interesting choices. It's more of a take out place but they do have several tables with waitress service. I did the Gringo thing, and got a burrito, it was very good. The homemade guacamole was excellent too. They also have an assortment of fruit flavored milk shakes, I tried the Banana, INSANE! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, it was obvious they took real pride in their restaurant. I still like Funcho's better, but this place is a lot closer, and the food was very good! read more

If I had a chance to rate this place no stars I would. I ordered two burritos which came to a total of $32.00; meaning that for 1 burrito they charged me $14 with something, so expensive for 1 burrito! when I asked why it was expensive for just two burritos they told me because they were carne asada then I said okay it was fine me thinking in my mind that carne asada would be a good quality but no I was wrong! The burrito wasn't even great it was almost 90% rice, 5% beans, and 5% meat there was barely meat inside the burrito it was more rice than meat. So I took the chance to open up the burrito and I was right it was mostly rice and barely meat and beans. I would never recommend this place to anybody nor to spend there money it's not Worth it! I would rather head over to the Cabana Latina in Southampton which The food is better quality at a reasonable price and quite delicious. read more

Okay so this is actually Mexican. It's not California, but this is authentic Mexican food. This is more than taco-bell, they serve variety of Mexican dishes to try. The staff are also friendly and quick to serve your order. The hot sauce is freshly made and the horchata drinks are so tasty. Definitely worth to try if you are craving mexican. read more

This establishment serves more traditional Mexican food. It really is delicious, but can be a little hit or miss. They don't speak the best English either so if you are ordering on the phone take your time. I speak half decent Spanish and that's much easier. The food is authentic like it was made in an old lady's kitchen in Mexico City. Well maybe it's more Vera Cruz type food, I really don't know. The point in trying to make is that it ain't no taco bell. It's always good, just sometimes it's a bit saltier than the last time, or it's made slightly different. Well worth it for the price! Me and my wife tried the Especial de Rother and it was excellent. Meat was fresh as can be. We also had the chicken tacos after seeing it recommended here on Yelp and those were incredible too. Friendly people who definitely know how to run a Spanish food establishment. Honestly, the food was alright but i hated the service. Me and my friend had just been skydiving nearby and my friend took me here. I ordered a side of jalapeños with my quesadilla and the guy asked of i even knew what jalapeños were and that the were "spicy". To me that pissed me off and was super presumptuous and either sexist or racist. Yes i am a girl and even though i am hispanic i do get confused for white so I am not sure which it is. Let me tell you i eat indian and thai food on thebregular and have eaten ghost peppers. Jalapenos are NOTHING. We had take away once before, it was late and the food was ok. I don't remember what we had. But, we ordered burritos for take away today. Both chicken, one with everything, the other without guacamole. Turns out everything is only rice, chicken, beans and cheese. The other had no cheese. The rice was overcooked and everything else in the burrito was flavorless. The hot saice was great, so I poured it all over my bland burrito to give it some flavor. Most amazing most authentic place ever! You know it's real because it's run by family and you feel like family as soon as you walk in. You need to understand, real Mexican tacos are very simple. My family loves this place. We always get the enchiladas el rodeo in green sauce, side of rice and beans, cheese tamales and chicken tacos. Sometimes the tacos are a bit dry. If you have ever eaten real authentic mexican food you wont be asking for tomatoes, cheddar cheese, or sour cream on your taco. Leave that to taco bell or chipotle which is a whole different culture of food, thats TEX-MEX. The food is great and authentic! Everything is made when ordered, so i don't mind waiting an extra 10 minutes and getting an excellent fresh meal. Highly recommend the HORCHATA(rice and cinnamon drink) its a Mexican classic cold drink, delicious and refreshing. I have been to Mexico several times and have tasted it there, i also have tried it in many different Mexican restaurants, and El Rodeo honestly has the best i have ever had! I asked them if they bought it from a certain concentrated pre mix blend, and they told me they actually made it from scratch! Very unimpressive eatery. We ordered a chicken burrito, chicken quesadillas (which they mistook for chicken empanadas, which we got) and the nachos carnitas. All three dishes were VERY bland. The burrito was primarily white rice with very little cheeses, some black beans, and some overcooked chicken thrown in. The nachos toppings were somewhat stuck together making it almost impossible to scoop a nacho with a nice amount of enjoyable topping. I was very happy to see Lengua tacos on the menu! The place has a few small tables and was very clean. They take credit/debit and are very reasonably priced. Second time here. Yet to be disappointed. The staff is great and super attentive, definitely a family place. The food is authentic and impeccable haven't had true Mexican food like this since living on the southern boarder. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is very nice. My wife and I had high hopes on behalf of the others that had past experiences with El rodeo. My burrito was good I thought it could have used a bit more chicken. My wife got the chicken fajitas. She said the chicken had a good flavor and the rice was good as well. I had ordered a chicken taco but when we got home and sat down it was not with our order. Bummer. read more
