They have since transitioned into a permanent home in Industry Alley, I spotted Zipitos while exploring Industry Alley in West Palm Beach. It is counter service. They serve a fusion of cuisines from El Salvador and Mexico. Menu items include pupusa, birria taco, and the weekend-only breakfast burrito. It was lunch time and I was famished. I ordered the grilled steak quesadillas which came with crema, pico and chips and salsa. It was ready in no time and absolutely delicious. Definitely worth the $15. You can eat in their dining room but it was a beautiful day out so I enjoyed their spacious outdoor patio. Zipitos was a great find in Industry Alley.

Inside the restaurant is very spare and basic. You order and pay at the counter, and they bring your food to you at the table you've chosen. There's a lot of Spanish being spoken. We decided to share their sampler which was a choice of three tacos along with a side. We each chose one of for us alone and one to share. He got the lamb chorizo one. It was ground lamb with onion, mint, and cilantro. I got their grilled shrimp. It also had shredded cabbage, , guacamole, and cilantro. I chose to have the chipotle aioli on the side. I really liked my taco. To share, we went with the birria. This was very tender shredded beef, cheese, onion, and cilantro. It was a bit messy and drippy, but very good. I never even needed to dip it in the side "sauce" that it came with. The side was esquite salad. A pasta salad with corn and other veggies like small pieces of green and red peppers. There was more pasta than anything else. This was just okay. They had a number of Mexican sodas to drinks in various flavors, agua fresca, and horchata. They had a bar there also on the side of the room with "adult" beverages, but it didn't open until the evening. My favorite of the things we had? My shrimp taco. Prices were fairly reasonable. And food came out pretty fast considering that they were very busy.

La Casita Salvadoreña, ubicada en Commercial Boulevard, es el clásico hole in the wall que parece discreto por fuera, pero por dentro te da una bofetada de sabor (con cariño ). Las porciones son absurdamente buenas. No sales lleno... sales derrotado. Si no has ido, ve. Si ya fuiste, sabes que digo la verdad. Y si sales con hambre... hiciste algo mal.

We chose a two top on the lovely patio. After ordering sweet tea, we were brought a basket of tortilla chips and some spicy salsa. We ordered guacamole and it was perfect. Onto the main courses: She had the taco trio with black beans/rice and I chose a chile relleno with refried beans/rice. Instead of the usual cheese stuffed poblano pepper I opted for steak + cheese, which also had some veggies in it. Very tasty. El G is a charming place and the servers are nice and efficient. We arrived at 1 pm which we found out was the perfect time. It got very busy later. Can't wait to go back with others.

I had the Birria tacos, hubby had the fried chicken chunks with added onions, our friend Bill had a delicious chicken marinated breast with rice and his awesome wife had the Mexican plate combo, which had so much food! I am so glad I took a chance on this restaurant because we all agreed it will now become a staple in our rotation of places to eat. Additionally, the staff was so genuine, kind, and nice and I love that!

My friends complimented the crispness of the pork belly. The meal was filling for 3 of us with left overs. Seems like they have a great lunch menu and the prices are very reasonable.

When I arrived, I was surprised they had more tables than I was expecting. There wasn't a wait, but it was full. They also have counter seating with a tv if you're into that. I ordered pupusas "revueltas." For those who might not know, a pupusa is a traditional Salvadoran dish made from thick corn tortilla stuffed with a mixture of ingredients. "Revueltas" or "mixed/scrambled" which I ordered is a combo of beans, cheese and pork mixture which is blended and filled inside the pupusa. It's served with a type of cabbage salad and tomato sauce. So good. I also ordered a tamale which was delicious as well. This is my go-to place when I'm looking for Salvadoran. Try it!
