I haven't even got my food and I'm already disappointed. I could tell the lady inside didn't like white people. I chose a chicken entree and she kept upselling me. I corrected her and she still got it wrong. The entree was $12 but she rang me up at $20 then on top of that she said it would be another dollar for using my debit card. I don't know about y'all but I'm pretty tired of getting charged to use my own money. Debit cash is pretty much the same thing. I will take a picture of the food when I get it but I'm sitting in the car and to be honest I'm not that interested in this place anymore. I wanted to try something new. If I planned on spending $20 to eat something quick by myself I would have ate sushi. I can't explain it but I can read people very well. The way she looked at me was like a dollar sign. How do you get something wrong twice then be corrected and still charge me. She said it was tax. $12 doesn't have a $8 tax. I got a Mexican coke which is no more than $1.50. This food better be amazing and I might consider adding one or two more stars. First impressions go a long way with me. I probably will not be coming back. (After eating review) This food is good. Since were dealing with pandemic I had to eat to go which killed the plating. It looked like fried plantains topped with a chicken breast covered in cole slaw and Julianne beats. The sauce I poured over it helped a lot. The chicken was tender but it was not worth it's price. If this costed me $15-17 that would be fine. It's worth $12 Not $20 + Don't let this review stop you from trying it yourself. I'll add two stars to this review out of respect for the kitchen. (Originally had put one star)

What I usually order, this time they actually gave me decent size of Asada, they usually give me less than this.

As a frequent customer I come here a lot therefore I would've rated this three stars originally but since I am a frequent customer I notice the prices on the menu change extremely from one day to the other. The amount of food they charge you for it too doesn't make sense. On top of that they never give you a receipt unless you ask for one, so they can really charge you whatever they want ( since the price always changes) and say the total was because of plus tax. Like cmon really? Tax is almost 4 $ per plate ? Also the amount of time I've comes here, there's literally one good/ nice employee out of all of the ones there. The rest of the employees attitude is not it. Save your money and go somewhere else, plus the amount of food they serve it's not worth it here.

Let's start with the location. This place is situated on Figueroa and 42nd St. It sits between a small convenience store and a christian church. The only parking available is street parking. The restaurant is very well lit and there are 15 tables available. One thing to know is that this place accepts cash only and they do not sell alcoholic drinks. The food: I ordered a simple "baleada", it consist a large flour tortilla stuffed with beans and Honduran sour cream. It was very fresh and very delicious. I also ordered "Yuca con chicarron". It is fried pork ginds with fried yuca. Wow, was I impressed. The plate can easily feed two people. This plate along with the baleada are typical Honduran food and this place cooks it to perfection. I am definitely coming back and I highly recommend you try this place. The customer service was great. I sat myself on an open table and the waitress came by and introduced herself. Overall very satisfied!

Here is a place that dislikes anyone who supports their country and have disrespectful waiters.

Cute building with lovely patio seating: from the trailing hanging pothos plants, Spanish tiles, to relaxing latin-house music the vibes were welcoming. I'm not much of a drinker though, when asked if I wanted to make my pina colada a "float" I thought incorrectly about ice cream. It was graciously explained that you take an additional shot of rum and float it on top of the drink or mix in to make it extra boozy. The pina colada is top notch they hollow out a real pineapple to make the drink and it's the size of your face! The watermelon cocktail was delicious and there is also a mezcal option. Tasted like if a watermelon aqua Fresca was combined with a margarita, there is a hint of salt that brings out the fruit sweetness. We special ordered a bunch of different proteins and vegetables at half portions to make a feast: Aguachile- Light refreshing starter, kanpachi perfectly marinated and great for the summer heat. Crispy potato- Phenomenally done fingerling potatoes. Whipped beans- Carnitas on top made this dish. Fried chicken tacos- Found the chicken slightly on the dry side, if there was a creamy/thicker sauce would be even better... nothing wrong with flavor, good mild heat. I did enjoy the fresh shredded cabbage and carrots, reminded me of bahn mi. Empanadas- Loved the acidity of the sauce that cut through the fattiness of the ground meat. Light shell. Crispy Squash flower- Delicate crunch, like an angelic version of a jalapeno popper. Lamb chops- Definition of "treat-yourself" luxurious meat lollipops. Celery salad- Simple dish but the lemon flavor and tartness really helped break up the richness of other dishes. Churros- Light crunch and small, petite dessert. The thin caramel sauce is addicting. Fine dining, for those special occasions or if you just want to splurge for a morale boost highly recommend this restaurant. Valet parking or park across the street or around the corner in a lot for $5-10.

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

You could tell people were actually having a good time instead of everyone just trying to get in & out. Great music, the smell from the live-fire grill, people laughing... just a really fun atmosphere. Jasmine was the first one to greet us & made us feel welcome right away. She introduced us to the other bartender, Kevin, & watching the two of them work together was honestly impressive. They were slammed but somehow still managed to be friendly, check in with everyone, make great drinks, & keep things moving without looking stressed. A little later some friends met up with us, & a few of them only speak Spanish. Jasmine immediately grabbed us a server , Angie, who came over & explained the menu in Spanish, answered all their questions, & made sure they were just as comfortable as everyone else. That stood out because a lot of places would've just pointed at the menu & moved on. While we were hanging out, Jasmine started telling us about the different areas of the venue, what each space is like, & how the vibe changes depending on where you're sitting. It never felt like she was trying to sell us on anything. She just seemed genuinely proud of the place, & it made us want to come back to check out the rest of it. Between the cocktails, the food, & how genuinely taken care of we felt, this ended up being one of those nights where you look at the time & realize you've been there way longer than you planned. That's usually a pretty good sign. We'll definitely be back.
