Sizzling shrimp fajitas
Crystal V.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants here in Mississippi! We came here with a large group of people and they always accommodate us. The servers are attentive and fast which is a big plus, especially with so many people. They're constantly refilling our drinks, checking in, and manage to serve all of our food at once. One of my favorites is the sizzling fajitas. I opt for no tortillas and eat the shrimp, rice, and beans, lettuce, and guacamole. The shrimp are always plump, juicy, and perfect! It's so delicious! I always get either a frozen margarita or a piña colada which are both so good!

Great authentic Mexican cuisine. I love the mango margaritas and the traditional margaritas. I highly recommend the Molcajete, house special, and chips with queso dip cheese! Great service, and nice ambience.

Speak to me in Taco please I chose the Chicken Fajita Salad this trip. The chicken was pre sliced thin and partially crispy which was nice. When I tell you it's a plate full... it was FULL. I could not eat it all myself. I did not get an appetizer but the salsa is one of the best I have had. Decor in the dining area is very Mexico and tasteful. Wide open room with 4-5 rows of booths and tables. Big bar along the back wall so I want to come back for a marg (when I'm not working of course ). Recommend for a good eats place that doesn't take a while to serve food.

I lived here years ago, and my best friend still does. This is is a tradition to us when I come visit. Love the chips, salsa & queso! And of course the giant margaritas! Love it!

This Saltillo was one of my favorites for years and 2 years ago so far it has become the worst restaurant to spend with the family.

The air doesn't work and the bathrooms are in a horrible condition without saying that they have been saying for a year that they are about to fix them and they never do it meaning that they are people of little word and it's a shame because they were at the top and now they seem that they will end up like the ranch of the pass rd literally close andNo one is going to miss them It's sad that this restaurant doesn't have air conditioning, we were eating inside and it's very hot you couldn't even eat, that's why they have the door open so that little air comes in, we came like in October and the manager said that they were going to fix the air conditioning in December when it was cold and we came today and it's just as last time

Two tacos, beans and rice take out.

Good Mexican food in generous portions, quick service, fair prices. Full bar available . I ordered take out which is courteous and quick- 2 tacos, beans and rice combination. Tasty and filling, but I would recommend dine- n if you like your crunchy tacos crisp- they were soggy in the short time it took to get home. Maybe better to order soft taco for take out! Also beans and rice don't stay warm long as packaged (spread out in pie plate) but easy enough to reheat at home. Still, every bite enjoyed. And yes, they include the complimentary chips and salsa with your takeout!

The yummy sides that come with fajitas

They have very fast service and cheap meals. If you are looking for somewhere yummy to take your family out to each without a killer expensive bill this is your place!! They have delicious all you can eat chips and salsa & upon request, they have spicier salsa! This is especially great if you are a spicy food fanatic like my husband. They offer vegetarian options, Which is very considerate. The chicken fajitas come out sizzling hot and are seasoned well and very tasty. I am an enchilada girl. Therefore, each time I go I get the #34 the vegetarian cheese enchiladas with verde sauce. It is delicious. The onlllyyyy thing that bothers me is their ratio of rice to beans. They overload your plate with beans and only give you a spoonful of rice...truthfully, its not much of a big deal.

El Saltillo is my go to local Mexican joint on the gulf coast(several locations). Service and food is always consistent (good!) all time favorite to order is shrimp fajita and huevos con chorizo. Salsa is tasty! The location that we go to mostly is the one on cedar lake, service is always fast usually in and out in 40 minutes even though it's busy during lunch.

Good food quick. No long lines and decent customer service!

Horrible service, tight booths and the waiter literally talked to us through the wall next to the booth. Don't go

You need to open this place up. I rarely see this restaurant not busy. Not sure why the decision was made to close.

Food was delicious, service was sub par, and the bathroom was average for a Mexican place.

El Taco Larry - My husband's burrito...it could have fed 3!

El Taco Larry

El Taco Larry? Yeah, we'll be back soon!!…read more Our Order: 1. Taco Appetizer. This comes with 5 tacos with meat of your choice. We ordered 2 asada, 2 carnitas, 1 tripa. We'll be ordering more tripa next time around as that was our favorite!!! 2. Quesadilla Loca. Hello? Just look at the picture and video. No regrets. 9/10. Would order again, again, and again. Would be 10/10 however, doesn't come with rice & beans. Easy fix though, we ordered it on the side. 3. Burrito de Carne Asada. The pico and guac typically goes inside however, i ordered on the side as a personal preference. Not the best i've had but pretty good overall. Honest rating 6.5/10. I'd like to try the other burrito options as this one was the most basic. 4. THE HORCHATA IS DELICIOUS!!!!! Not too sweet and just hit the spot. If i'm ever in the mood for some, this will be the go to spot. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and felt homey and welcoming. Enjoyed the atmosphere!! Hasta Luego Larry!!! (for now)

El Taco Larry is located on Pass Road just east of Debuys Road, in a location that has been a few…read moredifferent places over the years. It has an odd but memorable name, and they only have a social media presence and no website that I could find. I've been here a couple of times in the past several months and forgot to take photos, but their Facebook page is loaded with pictures of different dishes as well as their menu, so you can see what you're getting. They have an extensive menu with traditional offerings plus a lot of stuff you won't find in other Mexican restaurants. Last time I went, we were seated in a booth and it was very poorly made because you can feel every movement of the person behind you. The guy behind me was violently enjoying his meal because I was getting bumped around every time he moved. It was incredibly annoying and uncomfortable, like the back had become partially separated from the seat. I had the quesadilla combo, which was only $10.99, and it came with rice, beans, and salad. The "salad" was a small bit of lettuce with a dollop of sour cream and a few bits of tomato. It's not a side salad in case that's what you're expecting. The quesadilla actually had a good bit of chicken in it, but very little cheese, and everything was dry. It wasn't bad, but I don't think I'd order that again. If you're looking for a unique non-alcoholic drink, I highly recommend the Mangonada. It's a frozen blended fruit drink with lots of mango chunks and the straw is a tamarind candy stick. I really enjoyed mine but it does take a while to drink since it is completely frozen. Our server was great and friendly, and the food came out quickly, so this is a good place for lunch. It was packed last time I went, and I think it's helping to fill the void left by El Saltillo closing near the mall.
