Since I have annoying food, allergies, our driver was able to talk to the chef, and I was able to get some plain shrimp tacos at this particular restaurant. I am allergic to MSG/mono, sodium glucose mate and the Chef wasn't too sure what that was. Lol so he was able to make my shrimp tacos with just lemon, garlic, onion, and salt and pepper. The rest of my family got other items and they enjoyed their lunch as well! We had to pay in cash, but everything was delicious! I even got some Agua de jicama! Which was perfect and clenched my thirst!! There was also a gentleman that came in to play the guitar so we asked a couple requests and tipped him. Really cute way to have lunch!! read more

Fab! Super clean. Great fresh selection of ceviche. So tasty. The octopus, conch , shrimp best I have had in all the years. The hours are 8-3:30. No dinner. The salsas are fab. The peppers are hot! Had Lemonade which I needed to help off set one of the heat. But love heat. Sat inside. They do have outside too. Good service. Need a second visit this trip. read more

I loved this place. Was looking for a location away from the main drag, more authentic - and NOT tex mex / or American Mexican - read seeking the real deal. This is it. We were sent to Casa Mission - but once there, stepped out - countless taxis outside shuffling cruise ship patrons to and from - not what I was seeking. OH MY GOODNESS! If I could rate this place higher I would! The flavors were phenomenal. So we were staying at an guesthouse nearby and asked the owners what places they recommended. They told us about this seafood spot, which wasn't going to be anything fancy but would be delicious..... Turns out, this place ended up blowing ny mind! The restaurant itself is very casual and open air - locals are coming to eat here. The menu is simple - fried, grill, or ceviche style seafood on tortillas or tostadas. YES they have other options like tortas and chiles rellenos, but I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you grab or add a few tostadas. Their ceviche was topped with some sort of magical lime aioli and was just heavenly. Each table was also given a tray of different salsas and garnishes. Everything is super affordable and the aguas frescas are all homemade I believe (get the horchata). YUM YUM YUM! I will certainly be eating here again on my next trip to Cozumel! read more

Oh, yes. I know people complain that the taco prices are high compared to other taco places, but I think that's ridiculous. Yes, you can get a cheap chicken/pork/beef taco somewhere else, but this is about the seafood. I got one grilled fish taco, one fried fish taco, and two octopus tacos. I originally only ordered one octopus, but it was so good I had to have another. For four delicious tacos and a water, the total was $11-12ish. They came out very quickly too, the tortillas were large and homemade, and the sauces were all wonderful. This was a great last meal before I had to head back to the States. I tried a shrimp and mixed tostada, both were good but I preferred the shrimp. I usually would have ordered more things to try but I was on a taco crawl this particular day and wanted to save stomach space for the next stops. A clean simple seafood taco locale just off the main avenue that bisects the island. I tried the mixed seafood tostada (shrimp, octopus & conch) and a shrimp torta. They were reasonably priced and delicious. The green salsa is deliciously spicy. The menu includes cocktails (180-250 pesos), tacos (28-38 pesos) and tortas (38-60 pesos). We asked our taxi driver for a good place to get tacos near the airport and he brought us here. The food was the best that we had on the island. Super friendly locals hang out a couple of minutes away from the airport. read more

Very simple place and extremely tastey. My favorite thing on te menu was the garlic shrimp. The breaded shrimp was extremely good as well. Portions are extremely meaty and very cheap. Fantastic "locals" restaurant. We hired a local driver for the day in Cozumel and asked him to take us to a non-tourist locals restaurant--he did not disappoint us! Open and airy, clean, outstanding shrimp, octopus, conch tacos. All fresh--will definitely visit again on my next trip. The guacamole was great too. No beer--but you can buy it a few doors down and bring it in the restaurant. The ceviche was great also. read more

This restaurant had a great variety of options. I got a shrimp with garlic taco, my food tour guide got a conch taco, and the rest of my family got octopus tacos. My taco was great! And I also tried the conch and octopus. All were really great! If I went again I would get the conch. I will definitely come again if I find the time in my vacation itinerary! read more

Don't miss this hidden gem! Their grilled shrimp taco is awesome! I went here three days for it. The fish taco and stewed octopus are also very good. The price is slightly more expensive than the other local diners around but the portion is biggg! I got at least ten shrimps on my taco. So it's definitely worth it! read more
