I have been seen by several of the clinicians here for skin checks and a mini peel. I have been very happy with their care. Their approach is to be conservative and transparent with their treatment, meaning that they tell you what they recommend without pressuring you. In my case they identified a long term plan to remove some precancerous growths and I have been getting them taken care of as I have the time. They were also very patient and compassionate when my 7 year old had to have a skin growth removed and was very panicky. read more

The reason I'm not giving them a 5 is because their phone service sucks! Nobody picks up the phone, you're leaving endless voicemails. In the lobby waiting room their WiFi was awful too (couldn't get any service on my phone even using my own data). The front desk confirmed they had crappy service. But the staff and office was very nice. On the ball, no waiting time, the lobby was big and real comfortable and clean, had a good vibe, loved the Rainforest video, ample free parking. read more

MUST SEE DR. KIM!! She is the newest dermatologist at the facility and in my opinion the best. I first went to this facility because I was experiencing "abnormal" acne- bumps and rashes on my face that I had never seen in my entire life. I initially saw Christina Beck, who is an absolute sweetheart, in May. After assessing my skin she put me on cream that subdued the issue but did not cure it. Long story short- I have used anything and everything to try and cure my skin. I have had two biopsies. I have seen three dermatologists at El Segundo. In my first visit with Dr. Kim she took the time to assess my skin, ask me questions, biopsy again and this time with intent to determine what was going on. She assured me we would figure this out instead of just having me sit in the office and handing me another cream or pill that "should" work without even looking at my chart. Even after the struggle of a horrendous stubborn rash of red, small bumps on my face for 6 months, Dr. Kim is the reason I am giving this facility 5 stars. I would run away from this doctors office as quickly as possible I had a terrible experience there. First they recommended an injection which I did. Then when I came in for a follow up they randomly changed my doctor without notifying me, they had no before or after pictures and couldn't determine if the injection had helped and recommended a different treatment. I later found out from another doctor in the same office that the initial injection suggested is known to have no effect on my condition. So I paid for 2 appointments and a series of injections that were completely unnecessary. The 2nd treatment was a surgery. They forgot to give me the instructions for pain management and didn't bandage me correctly so after being awake and in pain all night and still bleeding from my incision in the morning I had to figure out how to get a hold of the doctor on Saturday to correctly bandage my wound so I would finally stop bleeding. When I went back to have my stitched removed I told them I was still having trouble at the incision point. They said that it was fine. It was not! This bad advise resulted in another appointment, physical therapy a lot of unnecessary pain and over a $2000 more in bills. Plus to add insult to injury they did not bill my insurance properly and then attempted to extract the money they missed out on out of my pocket They also threatened to send my imagined bill to collections after the insurance company had already sent them a notification that I didn't owe any money. If you like being in pain, unnecessary appointments, being billed and harassed for money you don't owe feel free to go to this office. Otherwise I would strongly recommend you steer clear!!! read more

First off, let me state that the doctor was pleasant enough and the office decor was very nice; but with that being said, I still had an overall disappointing experience. From the beginning, I felt the front office girl was not being very helpful. Secondly, I specifically asked her ahead if I could get a prescription for acne. However what they fail to mention is that they will give you an Rx, but only if you purchase the medication through their delivery service pharmacy. They will NOT write you a prescription that can be used at the pharmacy of your choice, nor will they electronically send it. So basically I was unable to fill a prescription through my own pharmacist where my insurance would've covered it; or even a Rite Aid where it may have been more reasonably priced. Instead I would be charged hundreds of dollars for the medication through their delivery pharmacy, which I found outrageous. I originally sought out a specialist thinking he would be able to zone in and give the best treatment for acne issues, but in the end I paid a costly consultation fee and walked away with no prescription, no medication, and no resolution to the issues. Had I known all this ahead of time, then I would have just gone to my regular primary doctor. The whole reason I went there is so the doctor could see me sooner and prescribe a medication to help ASAP. side note: I honestly had this review sitting in my drafts for a few weeks debating if I should post it since I really don't like saying bad things about people's business. However, I recently received an invoice which is what finally prompted me to post the review. I'd like to point out that at the end of my visit, I paid $185 which I thought was very steep for a 10 minute consultation where the doctor basically did nothing but chat with us. There was no examination at all!. However a few weeks later I received a receipt for $125!!.. so my question is why did the front girl overcharge me $60 and where did that money go? I knew when I left, I felt uneasy and I was very suspicious of the front office girl. She refused to even try when I asked if she could see if the doctor could give me a little bit of a break since I was paying cash. So I paid the full price only to find the invoice sent to me confirms that their billing is shady. To be honest I thought she was being very biased towards me and that's why she overcharged me. I'm sure the doctors are nice and maybe unaware that the front girls give their patients a hard time. If it wasn't for the staff I would return because I did like the doctor I saw, but I won't now because I don't trust their billing practice. Most other offices at least apply the consultation fee to treatment if you continue. This office does not. read more

Dr Tran was horrible she never acted as if my concerns matters in fact she had a very stand-off attitude as if I was contagious my problem was a clogged pour that has to be remover. Simply the Worst! Dr. Tran has the worst bedside manner per my husband he has ever experienced. She quoted him $100 out of pocket for skin tags and then charged $150! He received a scalp treatment for itchy scalp. The treatment he received did absolutely nothing. Good luck talking to someone in the office, they don't answer the phone. Billing is non existent until they say you owe. No detail of what you have already paid. Charge for every little item! We won't be back! read more

Just started going here because I was looking for an office that would know about my sun allergy, could do mole checks, did some cosmetic work and had a doctor who could remove any precancerous moles in the least invasive and scarring way as possible. I do print modeling so it's important for work that the scarring is minimal. Every plastic surgeon I talked to said to get my mole removed by Doctor Key. He did a great job and explained everything thoroughly. read more

This was my first Dermatology office I've been to and it wasn't a nice experience. I went last year for a consultation and both doctors were clueless about a cyst/scar I had. Also front desk receptionists were laughing at me while I wasn't paying attention to them and that was very unprofessional to do. I suggest being more respectful towards your clients and being more knowledgeable about billing. I was mailed a bill for $180 for no reason after I paid both consultation cash in person and I spoke with the manager and she was very nice to me and resolved the problem. read more

I've seen Dr. Camouse, Dr. Kim, Claudia (for skin and cosmetic procedures) and their PA, Christina. They were all highly professional, warm, smart and friendly. They are all super knowledgeable. There are enough providers on any given day, that a short notice appointment shouldn't be a problem. Plus the office itself is beautiful! Clean, bright and airy. I have been seeing Dr. Javahery for a few years at Comprehensive Dermatology in Long Beach and now in El Segundo. Both offices are very comfortable and modern. Most importantly, Dr. Javahery is an extremely competent, knowledgeable, and caring physician. I have been "fooled" by other doctors who say they are dermatologists, but don't have the specialized training that she has. Not only did she correct a cosmetic issue caused by another provider, she helped me to achieve more natural looking results. She even helped me with my acne and eczema! Dr. Beck is wonderful. She seems to really now her stuff and is extremely nice and patient with answering all questions. She takes her time and was with me for about 40 mins. Alot longer than most doctors will especially at the end of the day. The office is clean and staff is very nice. She did not try to sell me any expensive treatments and instead took her time explaining her treatment plan to me. Gave me a bag full of samples as well as medications that can be covered completely by my insurance at little or no cost. Will definitely recommend her and this office to anyone. read more

During a recent visit to CA, I was able to get the PDL therapy suggested for precancerous lesions. They were not only able to fit me in, but Christina thoughtfully billed through insurance, although my at home practice never offered this coverage. I was referred by a couple of friends after looking for a doctor to help with some skincare issues that I started having after having a baby. Christina took about 30-45 minutes to sit with me, talk through my concerns and made several recommendations....of which, she gave me most products to sample before having to buy. She explained things in a way that I understood and was very gracious with her time. Their office is absolutely gorgeous...so clean and the staff was also very kind.
