Not just for men! Mike is my go-to tailor for blouses and work pants. I'm only 5-1 with short arms so almost all of my off-the-rack office attire needs to be hemmed or taken in. He has produced excellent work on lightweight, silky material whether it be taking in the sides or shortening the sleeves and I have no hesitation on dropping off designer items for adjustments. On a side note, it is great to see a small business such as Mike's continue to thrive on Main Street. I got this amazing flannel shirt from LL Bean. I loved the material. But it was size medium; but super baggy. There was just TOO much. I brought it to El Segundo Tailors and they worked a miracle. It took him a few minutes to measure my slacks during my lunch break and he had them ready by the time he closed at 6pm...all for 15 bucks. This was my first experience getting a suit tailored, and I must say, I was a bit scared of bringing in a $600 suit to get tailored cuz I've heard of some horror stories where the suit can't be fixed anymore.. but I was really surprised at how AWESOME the suit came out. The length of the pants was perfect, the coat had 3 inches on each side removed around the torso. And now the suit looks better (it looked baggy before) and fits me like a glove... So I don't own a lot of suits but the ones I have I want them to be quality. I usually get my suits at Hugo Boss, so I went here just to get a suit altered that just never fit right. The owner said he was unable to alter my suit because it needed too much altering which I thought would be the case. He told me that he was running some sales and recommended a few suits. The quality was amazing! I wasn't expecting that at all. I told the owner I needed the new suit soon, and he took my measurements. I came back a few days later and the suit was not only the best suit I've ever bought, but also fit perfectly! And also at an amazing price! All this time I would go to Beverly Hills to get my suits.
