Betty was amazing. She assisted me with alterations for a dress I was wearing to a wedding. She was patient and made sure I was 100 percent satisfied with the length. I was recommended to this place because they are great at dry cleaning, but I was going to them for alterations. I read the review 2 years ago about their poor alteration service, but decided to give it a chance post-COVID. My experience was absolutely identical. The owner was very friendly at first and told me don't worry about the price, it won't be a lot and mislead me to think they were affordable. The seamstress also didn't provide a price (misleading but I should have talked to her directly). When I picked up the dress and went to pay, the seamstress significantly over charged me (I confirmed with 2 local seamstresses). I called the owner to ask why they over charged me for a simple hem (basic fabric - straight hem - seamstresses used a machine not even hand stitched) and he said my dress had a slit, which it did not. Ultimately after some back and forth, the owner told me to take my business elsewhere. read more

VERY EXPENSIVE PRICES FOR ALTERATIONS, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I came in right before work trying to get 2 blazers altered. I left in a rush and completely forgot to ask how much it was going to cost. But, the person who helped me didn't mention it to me either (deceiving? poor communication?). So I pick up the blazers and was finally told the price. I am shocked at how expensive it was and had I would've known, I would've taken my business elsewhere! I just left feeling so cheated and was forced to accept what happened. I had a dress altered. I just tried it on and it is too small across the chest now... I even made a comment to the seamstress NOT to take it is too much when she was pinning. Dress is ruined. This was a Hawaiian dress that matches the shirt my husband is wearing for our daughters funeral tomorrow. I am so upset and cannot even call because I have stress induced laryngitis and can't talk. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! A week ago, I took my suit pants and Ike Behar tie to get dry cleaned cuz some food got splattered on it during lunch. I've had horrible experience with drycleaners not following my requests but I didn't think it could be this bad. I requested that my tie not be pressed, and since it is imported silk Ike Behar (barely 1 year old) I asked them to be careful. The tie has never been dry cleaned and has been taken very well care of. When going to pick it up I check my items to find that the tie has been pressed and there are "missing" threads on the bottom (almost as if abrasions). The manager was not there at that time so I returned a few days later and even after trying to calmly talk to the manager about the situation. Some of the statements that she made were: "You have no proof that we did this" "I'm not going to do anything" "Please take it and don't ever come back" "For all I know, this was like this when you brought it in to purposely give trouble" Those aren't verbatim but they very closely equate to what she was saying. I would NEVER suggest this place to anybody just because of their lack of customer service! read more

This is a great cleaners. For a number of reasons. 1. They care. They take their work seriously. They've taken the time to learn my name so dropping off and picking up is a breeze. And they've actually called me to inquire about cleaning questions they have (rather than just guessing) which I really appreciated. 2. I've never had a problem. But I'm sure that if I did they would go out of their way to help. 3. They ALWAYS have my clothes ready at the time and date they promise. 4. Expensive and they ruined a suit pants item I took in for tailoring. Why would the fellow use up so much material for the repair I asked for? Never could wear expensive item again. And I went back to request they make me feel better about continuing to clean with them... Woman tried to argue with me about how I could prove they were the shop that ruined the pants! The location and the quality of the cleaning are two of those considerations, but he most important to me is the people that run and own the business. I remain astounded at how many dry cleansers there are in this town. I have tried many of them and in my opinion, Olympic cleaners is the best of the best! They are super conveniently located near the Manhattan Village, in fact just across the street on Sepulveda Blvd. More important to me is the people, and the owners Ramin and Betty are just the nicest people you will meet! In fact, I would drive out of my way if I had to in order to have them care for my suits, shirts and all my wife's stuff too!
