It is a fun little park, with a snake run, and a separate freestyle area. The only drawback is that the area is landscaped with trees, and the debris falls on the pavement floor. Debris can cause a skateboard wheel to abruptly stop, and may cause injury. Once I saw a guy bring he own broom, he said it's essential here! There are small ramps where you can work on your skills. Sometimes there are contests and events here.

The park is far more beginner-friendly than you may think at first glance, with several gentle banks and easy roll-ins to get you into the flow section, but it also rewards you with more and more possibilities the more you progress in skill. It's very easy to maintain speed for laps throughout the park once you get a feel for it, and the transition is pretty moderate/standard throughout the park. Nothing truly tricky to deal with if you're just trying to cruise around, but endless possibilities for someone truly skilled, from what I see happen here. The concrete in the shallow of the bowl is starting to develop a bit of pitting in two spots, so take note of that if you're riding smaller/harder wheels.

Tan L.A. como puede serlo!…read more Lincoln Park in Lincoln Heights is a little big green, path filled, water encompassed, nature filled slice of Los Angeles and also home to Plaza De La Raza. We decided to mix up our normal weekend strolls as neither of us had been in quite some time. As a native I spent bulk of my time exploring LA as a kid in the late 80s and throughout 90s, before returning in the 2010s and appreciating it as an adult, much like appreciating the wildlife, culture and return to this historic park. We parked near the cultural center and did some nice leisurely strolling taking in just about most of Lincoln Park. People enjoy conversations, their own strolls and even some fishing in the lake. Ducks and birds of so many kinds including Coots, Gooses, Grebes, Mallards and variations of each. We were also able to explore the Plaza De La Raza center which was being cleaned and attended to. The park isn't as lavish as some in LA and the water stream is a bit lackluster compared to parks like Echo Park Lake, but still enjoyable and parking around the park via street Valley Blvd as well as Mission Rd where you'll find the public restrooms. You can also discover the Florence Nightingale Statue on the Valley Blvd side, the sign for it isn't present anymore and like a few parts of Lincoln Park could use some beautification and upkeep. There's a big playground off the Siegl Pl side, not to mention additional parking, tennis courts, baseball fields, soccer fields and picnic tables spaced out throughout the park. Additionally you can find some outdoor fitness equipment and also a skate park! The recreation center is basically like a YMCA with indoor basketball, other various sports, auditorium, classes, events, seasonal happenings and more. It's a surprisingly cool park with lots of hidden things, some more well tended to than others, feels like a refresh is coming soon. Definitely worth checking out Lincoln Park.

There's signs that suggest to park for 4 hours, which is plenty of time. I've come here for Aztec new year which is a festival and to just run/bike with friends. There are 2 places to enter, but sometimes only one of the entrances are opened. In the case of today, only one direction of one gate is opened. So when we exit, we need to drive on the wrong side of the driveway to get out, but do our best to avoid cars that are entering at the same time.

I ask a couple guys that were playing if they knew anywhere close by I can buy one. I tell them my story and one dude offers to sell me one of his old discs. Sweet! He explains to me that he doesn't even play as much anymore I'm about to pay the friendly fella $20-$25 for well used destroyer. Would never buy it except for this instance. And here comes other dude. Starts haggling and making stories up about discs without flight numbers. Says "that's like a $60-$70 disc" WTF Friendly dude offers to just let me use a disc to throw one hole I have no idea how this new disc flies so I go forehand on hole one and my nerves get to me. I severely under throw it. My next throw was much better and the one after that gives me a twenty foot putt that I miss Overall, I wish I could get a full round here with my discs. Looked like a course that I could do well at One day

Truthfully, I've enjoyed other courses more, but I'm still glad I was able to play at such a legendary course. I played in the middle of the summer, which means summer camps caused the closure of some of the holes. It was a hot, dry, and dusty day but I enjoyed every minute of it. It was a challenging course that required a good variety of shots to make par. I was sub-par most of the time, but I sure had fun trying! I used the Udisc app to navigate. Even then we had difficulty finding the proper tee pad and basket on several holes. We also had to wait for day campers, park goers, and horseback riders passing through where we needed to throw on several holes. I'd like to come back and play here in the fall and winter when it's not so hot and more of the holes are open.

This was the first time that my son has been to a splash pad, so I didn't know what to expect. I liked that the splash pad wasn't overwhelming with water, and it was young-kid friendly. The structures where the water came from were colorful and fun. My son was skeptical at first, but after he slightly warmed up, he had a blast! Definitely wear water shoes or sandals as the ground is dirty (like any other outdoor place). Parking is limited. I couldn't find the park parking lot so I parked in the library which was a small lot. Not sure if it's just street parking otherwise. I like that there's lots of shade over the playground. On a hot summer day, the shaded area was perfect! The playground is also kid-friendly, ages 4-9 I think. It was a bit challenging for my 3 year old, but he managed. The park also has a dedicated skating area and basketball court, which I appreciated. Only downside is that there were some groups BLASTING non-family friendly music out of their boom box. It was VERY loud and disruptive. We left the park early because of it.
