This is a terrible place to eat. Their food is not that great. The service was absolutely terrible. The waitress was horrible. She was unattentive. She forgot to ask us what we wanted to drink. She did not give us napkins, and I had to ask for a spoon. When I asked for the spoon, she looked like she was annoyed about it. The food was not great tasting. It was just okay. EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Save your time and money and go eat somewhere else. We knew what we were getting into - a bare bones little hole in the wall, cash only restaurant. This doesn't bother us as these places usually have really good food. It started off good, the waitress quickly came over and took our order. We are a family of five and our order was 1 pupusa, 1 tamal de elote, 2 breakfasts, 1 tostada de jaiva, 1 shrimp tostada, and 1 order of platanos. They brought our drinks quickly along with some salsa and chips which we enjoyed. Sadly this was the high point of our visit. We patiently waited for our food. Then we waited some more. And...some more. We had pretty much finished our drinks and there was no sign of our food. With a hungry 4 and a 9 year old it was getting hairy. An hour had gone by and no food. What we did notice was people picking up to go orders of pupusas. Quite a few of them actually. By this point I was really frustrated and went to check on the food. I was told "your food is coming up we've been working on the to go orders." To say that I was angry was an understatement. I was ready to walk out but the family wanted to wait since we were already there. We should have left. The food started coming out, the waitress never came back to our table, instead the cook delivered our food. The shrimp on the tostada was raw. The platanos and beans in the breakfast were literally swimming in oil, making them inedible. Food was not good - understatement, but we ate it because we were ravenous at this point. We're on our way home now, we are all experiencing troubled tummies, we have 2 bathrooms and 5 people so God help those of us that have to wait. My poor husband may not make it. This is the worst experience we've ever had, Yelp failed me this time, not sure where these glowing reviews are coming from as there was plenty of frustrated people in this restaurant. Great pupusas at this location. They got tons of different flavors of them. They take their time to make them delicious just for you. I really enjoyed the spinach ones. Price is a reasonable price. People should be come here to buy them. They got Mexican food as well, but I was craving the other country food. I been walking down the street from it and didn't know what I was missing out from such great salvadorans food. You need to check it out as once you enter the location, the person who works there will bring you a menu and ask where you like to sit down. I only got my order to go. I took about a dozen pupusas due to have 2 of each flavor. I say that now is the time for you to come here and try it out for yourself and put your own review for others to know what you think about this location great food. Good comfort food. No a/c when I was there, but they do have a bunch of fans. The pan con pollo is a pretty big appetizer. The pupusas are descent size. They aren't fast with their service, which is cool; plan on hanging out and enjoying the cumbia/ salsa radio that they have. I will keep coming back and even recommending this place. read more
