I know some one is going to read this on my profile and wonder why in the world was I in Pine Buff Ark. I know its funny place for me to be in, but I was there on some business and well I got into Little Rock early, drove out to my meeting and had lunch in this area. But i was looking on the web for a place to eat and used yelp! Well there was only a handfull of people that have reviewed a couple of places out here.. So I took the advice from the two other reviews on here and thought it couldnt be that bad. WOW! The only thing I give this place credit for was how clean the place was and how nice the server was to turn on the world cup game on for me. Other than that, I dont think eatting mexican food in Pine Buff is in my agenda ever again! I shouldve just gone to chilis or some thing where I know it wouldve been alteast decent. This was pretty bad..... my mash refried beans where watery!! I mean dripping off my spoon and the tacos where hard and tasted like it was under the heat lamp for a while.. None of the food was fresh.. it all tasted like it was frozen and heated in an oven. The avacado was LIME GREEN! just like how it should be coming out from a can or frozen package! Then instantly with the hot weather entering the room, you can see it turning black on the edges.. Though, I will give them credit on the rice, it wasnt so bad but still tasted like it came from a huge pot of rice and was just warmed up. I even looked at the co-worker I was with, and said the following.. *Keep in mind, Im hispanic-- "Wow, and to think Mexican's run this place and are the cooks too!!" Its very hard for me to give anyone or any place a bad review, but it was bad. I mean it was ok but nothing I expected from a mexican place ran by mexicans! I wanted to get back there and hit them over the head and show them to get back to their roots!!! haha, so over all - I dont recommend unless you are super hungry.. and there isnt much to eat in this town.. My experience was super bad. I came with my wife after one month and ask for chicken fajita. They give me a dish what is not smoking Grilled Chicken. It's look like oven cook and meat is chopped into thousand picees with water Not even fried. I eat here before but I have no idea what they gave me so i told them this is not what I wanted I also show them the picture what I eat last time.. still they are saying this is what we ordered this is the same thing. the manager also saying same thing told us we have eat it. And the amount they gave us look like not even enough for one person. The capsicum was look like oven stemmed. The entire food was massed up. Still they are telling me they are right I am roung. I was chicken fajita for last one year once in every month but never no one serve me this staff cold watery thousand wet in water pieces meat. Then we just eat paid and left. I will never ever come again. Who want to eat nasty food with rude service.. I was very much like to sue them for there food and service.... I know who goes to Resturent they all know about how people serve grilled staff they come in smokeing in a iron plate under a wooded plate asom looking very hot food. When our fajita come in it's not showing any sign in smoke and look like it's cold. When I asked waiter why it's not steaming and after I touch the iron plate asked him why it's not hot ( everyone know that plate stay very hot that no one can even touch that's why they put wooden plate under it). He told me do you want me to make it more hot..... funnny.... I asked for spicy... the food I put in my mouth it's sweet... we just eat a portion and left all them to eat there special fajita.... if this is call a good food then I will rather die in hunger... my 4 year old cusin cook better then there chef then.... i am feeling bad now I should have called the food department or the police to show them what they gave me... read more

Tried on a Saturday evening while passing through town. We were seated, had drinks and chips/salsa within 2 minutes of arriving. Our order arrived at our table within 10 minutes. Lots of food for the $. My husband had the "special" and it was 2 plates of for for $9. He said it was "ok". I had cheese enchiladas with a white cheese queso and it was really good. Would recommend giving it a try if you are in town. read more

The best Pine Bluff has to offer. They are friendly, fast, and it all tastes pretty good. Not the best Mexican, but still worth it. They have beer, wine, and liquor. Some of the best margarita's in town. I go here about once a month! read more

Horrible horrible service I placed a call in order waited 15 minutes when I got there my order was not taken or even ready. I had to place an order the waitress a Mexican lady with a short cut hair and blonde streaks threw her order pad down and she was rude and I told keep it just rude!!! I am completely and utterly disappointed with the visit I had with you all tonight. For years I came and enjoyed your food but after how it was handled this evening, I will never go back. This evening I purchased the Pollo Jelisco (mispelling, I am sure) from the menu because I love seafood. My order comes in and the food looks good as always but when I took a bite of my shrimp, my senses were completely overloaded with a strong fish smell as if it was spoiled. I know you guys were packed so I was trying not to cause a scene, but just to let you know about the situation. I flagged one of the ladies down and I was trying to let her know about it so she could let someone in the back know about it (cook who prepared it, cook manager, general manager, owner or somebody) know about it. She and another gentleman pretty much stared at me blankly, told me to "hold on a moment" and blew me off for at least 5-10 minutes. I started to get pretty irate as the whole staff looked to avoid my general direction until the same gentleman that was with the lady told me that he was going to get the manager. I was totally fine with that. The manager comes up and I let him know what is going on but instead of just taking the information as it is and taking a look at his stock to make sure the rest of the shrimp wasn't having that same issue in the back, he immediately gets defensive and tells me that not only was the shrimp not bad (my sister could smell it across the table) but he had over 30 some odd years in the restaurant business and that automatically trumps my paltry 20 some years of life where most of that was spent eating seafood. To add insult to injury, he tells me he is going to take off the $3.00 off for the shrimp and hands me a spoon and saucer to spoon the defective shrimp off. He walks away and I find myself getting more and more irritated and borderline pissed by the second. I did not want this man to comp my meal because I already ate some of it, and I wasn't looking to cause any waves but just to give him a heads up about the shrimp. I was so angry I left. I paid my whole bill and I tipped my server even though he was just as derisive if not more so than the manager by the end of it. I used to suggest this place to my customers that traveled into town. I would give this place negative stars if I could. The hostess took 5 minutes to greet us at the door. After that we were sat with chips and salsa and they didn't even ask for our drink order. We sat there a additional 10 minutes before we walked out. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! read more

Located in a strip center it was a little hard to find but GPS got us there. Very clean! Great service and good food. The chicken taco salad was served in a flour shell with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and guacamole. Very fresh and the white sauce was very delious. My husband really enjoyed a chili Rellano and chicken enchilada. My only suggestion would be to lower the fluorescent lights at night. read more

This is a good Mexican restaurant. Their white cheese is good! If you have the chance you should definitely give them a try.

I was on the road on business and tired of eating at McDonalds so I figured I'd give El Sol a try. They do take out so I could take it back to the hotel. I ordered a #4: burrito, chile relleno, taco. It came with chips and salsa. It was pretty good. It tasted like real Mexican food, not like they used Taco Bell ingredients. It isn't the best I've ever had but authentic enough. read more
