This is my favorite nightlife place of all the places I have ever been. At Squid Roe, you never get judged for anything you do. You can sit back and relax or you can be ratchet af on the table. We have been here several times and have enjoyed ourselves. This year was a totally different experience. When we paid the bill along with the 16% tax and a very nice tip, we were told they wanted a higher tip. After going around and around with the waiter, he was expecting a 50% tip and he would not let us leave until we paid. We will NEVER go back. Came out here after dinner for a little party. We had a good time. But nothing too memorable. The DJ was bad. Sorry!!! But it's true. The mixes where totally off & he played a lot of 70's music. Maybe it was 70's night and we didn't know. Either way bad mix of music. The staff was fun and would try to get us into the scene. Maybe we went on an off night. Looks like it would be a good place to party if the music was better. They did have this cool thing where a girl takes a pic of your party and puts it in a tequila bottle. That was pretty cool. I went here with a bunch of friends for spring break and they allowed too many people inside. No one could breathe. I felt as if I was suffocating and it was truly scary. It reminded of stories from big festivals but I never thought it could happen at a bar. Most bars I've been to have a capacity amount and with how this one is laid out it needs one. The lay out is 3 stories with small stairways to go up and down. My friends and I were at the top story and there was a bouncer that wouldn't allow my boyfriend into the area we were in (which I also thought was weird. It was a public area and he just left to go to the bathroom) so we decided to head down stairs. At this point too many people were trying to go up and down at the same time. People were screaming that they couldn't breathe, throwing up, doing everything they could to get each other out if they were headed down. People going up didn't know what they were about to get themselves stuck in. When I finally got to the first floor I told people working there what was happening and they said that they can't do anything. At this point the first floor was starting to fill up super fast as well. When we finally got out there was a huge line of more people actively being let inside. They need to count how many people they are allowing inside when it's busy to avoid this or else someone is going to be seriously hurt if they haven't already. Honestly I haven't been during the day and the food looks great, this is just a safety message for people who are going at night because it was something that my friends and I are still shook up about. I recommend staying on the first floor if you do go at night, especially during a big holiday like spring or summer break. read more

We were very disappointed by how they treated us. They told us that drinks were 2 for 1 and then they double charged us. They also charged us double for drinks when we had already paid cash for them. They tried to take full advantage of us, but luckily we had two people in our group who speak fluent Spanish and we called them out. It took over a half hour of arguing and they barely even tried to correct our bill and their mistake. We are very upset with the establishment and will definitely never go back, nor recommend it to anyone. Everything was great at first. Me and my wife decided to spend our Saturday night here and boy was that a bad choice. We arrived around 10 pm before the place got packed to ensure a table. Music was thumping and shots were flowing. In comes 1 am and the club is packed. The manager somehow sells our table to another party whom I invited to sit with us (since it was just two of us) when I noticed they were looking for a table. As I go to buy more patron shots ( it was our 10th at $10 a piece plus 4 margaritas at $7.50 a piece for a total of about $130) one of the girls who we invited to sit tells my wife she needs to leave the table. Upon telling her we were there first and we didn't mind sharing she called management on us who immediately told us we needed to leave. I explained to him that we arrived first and had spent a nice amount of money to afford the privilege of staying. The manager then called security on me and my wife to get us out of the club even though I clearly explained how we had done nothing wrong. Don't spend your money here. When they are full they will just kick you out for hanging around too long even if you've spent your money. First time ever being in an altercation at a club let alone being kicked out. Funny part is that I was kicked out with $30 worth of drinks in my hand. Sad. read more

Well. If you ever been to Mango's in South Beach Miami.... thats basically what this is, without the flamingo dancers. Its a two story building that has highest energy out of all the clubs in Cabo. Its pretty expensive compared to everywhere else, but its not bad. There are people outside willing to give you free shot tickets to get you in. If you really want to go crazy, this might be the place for you. If you want something a little more classy establishment, maybe look else where. Be prepared it to be crowded. You'll find all spices of life here... you can probably have a lot of fun... or you can just go next door to the dance club. Will I go back. Sure, if I was with some friends and we wanted to bar hop. Is this my first choice destination I'll go to when I am in Cabo... no... but, can't be that bad for a 1st pit stop for a few drinks before it gets too crazy. Get there before 10pm to avoid paying cover charge. Heads up, as of two nights ago there is no longer a Shady Bro blowing a whistle into your ear, though I don't guarantee he will not return. For $35 pesos, you can get a nice young lady to feed you a jello shot straight into your mouth while blowing a whistle into your ear and rubbing your arms and nipples. Not all yards are on the menu. I have been coming to Cabo since 2009 and Squid was always one of the places we would come to at least 4 times a week. If you look at reviews, it seems I'm not the only one to see how much this place has changed in the last 2 years since the pandemic. I came in July and they were charging $20 a person to come in (first time ever) and made you go upstairs. The bottom was now reserved for bottle service. There was hardly anyone there on the bottom floor so I didn't understand why we couldn't get a table with only a hour left. I understand the prices had to go up, but it was way more than the year before. I came back this October and thought I would give it one more chance. This time I was told you had to have bottle service to come in so we ordered a bottle of Tito's vodka. When the bill came it was over $500 for the one bottle of vodka and a few drinks to mix the vodka with. Keep in mind we had already paid around $300 in different shots as people were coming up to the table. A few in the group went the next night and pretty much the same thing happened again. What's crazy is looking at the reviews kind of shows a pattern of charging whatever they think they can get away with. I hate to write this review, because this was always the fun place to go but after going twice myself and our group going I have to warn others to try somewhere else before you come here. I went to other review sites as well and definitely see a pattern. In 2019 or earlier this place got a lot of great reviews but more and more its getting one star as 2021 reviews are coming in. They would have had our group of golfers probably going night after night but unfortunately we quit because of how bad it's gotten. It was a ton of fun! If you want to step outside your box and dance on tables this is the place. The staff is very friendly and encourages you to dance and participate. I highly recommend if you want a huge party to come during Mexican independence day. The crowd was insane! The only downside is if you are not willing to spend a lot of money then don't go here or especially avoid the jello shots unless money is not an issue. When the check came they listed it as "1 redbull - 250 pesos.. 1 Crown shot 400 pesos" for each shot I ordered. oh yes, it's exactly how i remembered partying in tijuana every weekend back when i was 18. it's like watching Jersey Shores, minus the hot guidos, aviator sunglasses, and big guidette hairs. definitely lots of fist pumping, twerking, and drunkenness. i mean, if you have to go somewhere to get drunk and do some twerkin', this would be the place to go. cheap booze, two stories of dancing, the MC is pretty awesome pumping up the entire place. watch out for the girls walking around with jello shots, they trick drunk people (mostly dudes) into playing tic tac toe on their hands (which they are trained for) and they win EVERY SINGLE TIME, making you take a shot, buy another shot then forcing you to pay for them. so dudes, these girls arent playing the game with you to flirt with you, they want yo dollas, playas! best part is watching drunk guys from the first floor trying to climb up to the second floor balcony and getting yanked by security. this place is crazy, its pretty wild. so come prepared to party all night. read more

This was by far the most fun bar I've ever experienced on a vacation! We had read the raving reviews prior to our stay and knew this was the place to have fun and let loose. There were 6 of us that met earlier in the evening on a sunset cruise and ironically realized all were staying at the same resort, so we hit a few bars in downtown Cabo together and had told the others that we had to save this place for last as it was to be the most fun. As soon as you walk in the door you're automatically looking and laughing at all of the funny signs on the walls. There is SO much to see here. LOTS of dancing and great Top Hits music so don't go unless you want to get your funk on and sweat to some great music. We walked around, got a drink and then found a spot on the top (3rd) floor and looked down at the entire place just to take it all in. I started a dance off with a girl on the other end of the railing on the third floor. It was so much fun that her husband ended up coming over and buying all of us drinks. The atmosphere was fun and we had a great time, but the drinks were too pricy! $8 for a tequila shot? I don't even pay that in San Diego. People were dancing on top of the tables and fully enjoying themselves. Unfortunately, a couple of girls were so intoxicated that they nearly fell off the table and almost took my friend and I with them. The staff promptly got them down (for all of our safety). They played some Hispanic music, but mostly American hip hop and rap. Some old school and some new. Overall, it was a hit, just lower the prices a bit. read more

This is the place to be if you are going out in downtown Cabo. They always have great dancing music from 80's to current top 40. I have been here more times than I can count and it is always a good time. This place is definitely not for everyone, because it can get super crowded and sweaty sometimes.
