Customer service was great! There are friendly staff that take your order and call you when your order is ready. There are plenty of tables indoors surrounded by beautiful artwork on the walls, tables, and chairs. We decided to stop here for breakfast after checking out the Saturday farmer's market. Their menu has photos of the item as well which is helpful when ordering your food. We shared the chilaquiles with green sauce, that had a nice kick to it and came with three eggs. We also tried the shrimp plate that came with tortillas on the side. Both meals were very tasty.

After having breakfast in the area with my daughter, we decided to pick up lunch for my husband at El Taco Llama. He's very particular about how he likes his burritos. Without looking through the menu I explained to the girl at the register what I was looking for. She easily understood and put in an order for a carne asada Burrito Mojado with no salsa or guacamole. I then added their Tostada Salad with carnitas to try. After paying, they offered small cups for salsa and bags for jalapeños. It was prepared quickly and packed well. Everything was still warm when we got home. The tostada shell stayed crisp. My husband loved the burrito. He said it was filled generously and the carne asada was flavorful. He especially enjoyed the warm red sauce that covered it all. The tostada was overall ok. Unfortunately I didn't care much for the carnitas. I found it bland and dry, like day old meat. Service was great. Prices are really good in comparison to similar places. There are many free parking options nearby. According to my husband we're definitely going back for the burrito.

A lot of guests, but the line moved quick.

They've catered 2 events for me and have been flawless each time. Good communication and punctual...big plus. Each time, the event was for approx 120 people and the flow and speed of their service was smooth and very reasonable, all while being courteous and attentive. All of their meats received compliments. The variety of choices they offered our guests was great, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and tortas. They provided all of the paper goods and the salsa bar was kept clean and stocked. Thank you!

The food was delicious. My family and I ordered a sopa de carne and a huevos con asada plate. The order got mixed up and there were a lack of condiments outside but they quickly fixed it and were very kind about it. They provided everything needed and their salsas were delicious. The space is beautiful and the decoration is lovely in the restaurant. Would definitely come back again.

Fish tacos. Looks like the picture.

Went there after months if not a few years of asking my wife to go, so went myself. Had fish tacos. They were tasty and that hot sauce is HOT but very good. Satisfying meal, service was fast and courteous. Horchata complimented the hot sauce! Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was the fish portions. There was enough in the tacos but they were thin pieces of fish, with breading. Needs to be bigger pieces of fish. I suspect it's tilapia, which is notoriously thin. I understand the economics of it but still.

Parking can be tough if you want to park in the lot however there is a parking structure nearby. The food is pretty good, I like the carne asada burritos and tacos and whenever I'm in the area I often stop by. They have some good salsa, the heat can vary visit to visit but it has nice flavor and spice. The interior is nice, plenty of tables and chairs. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

There are several tables to sit at and A TV with soccer playing. My order was done fairly quickly and packed very well. The tacos were all labeled The tacos were stuffed with meat. At other places I usually order four so that is what I got here but I was full after three! The rice and beans were very tasty as well. My current favorite is the chicken mole. It's nice to find somebody who really puts their heart and soul into making a good mole. Nutty and chocolatey undertones give way to a nice subtle spice. Absolute perfection. Another favorite is the shrimp enchiladas. The shrimp were incredible and tasted like wild shrimp. I asked the owner what type of shrimp they use and sure enough, they use wild caught shrimp. I chatted with the owner a bit and she is super passionate about her food. They do have their hard liquor license. The skinny cucumber margarita is superb. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Santa Clarita Valley.

It's time for Taco Tuesday!…read more Every week, my wife and I decided to try a different place for Taco Tuesday. Last night I decided to try El Pato Mexican on Lyons Avenue in Newhall based off searching for Taco Tuesday. Even though my search showed that El Pato had Taco Tuesday, they did not. I almost left. However, I was committed and in search for the best Tuesday Tacos. Therefore, I ordered 6 Carne Asada street style tacos. The young lady at the register told me they put a few pinto beans on the taco, is that okay? I found out in Central Mexico (Mexico City) and parts of the north, I.e., Sonora & Chihuahua Mexico, this is part of the culture. The southern regions they tend to use black beans. Anyway, the young lady told me that they use the full size corn tortillas when in fact, they use the street style corn tortillas. Two out of my 4 tacos were loaded and the other two were very small and fatty. The first two were really tasty though. At $3.89 a piece plus tax = $4.27, it is way over priced for the value for a street taco. They even charge $11 for a basic Bean N Cheese Burrito. This is my ranking: Taste - *** Price/value - ** Service - ***** Cleanliness - **** Atmosphere - **** Respectfully, Taco man Wedo!

We all ended up ordering chilaquiles--one plate with green sauce and the other two with red sauce--and got our eggs over easy. Let me just say: these were hands down some of the best chilaquiles we've had in the area. The flavor, texture, and portion sizes were all top notch. I also loved that they have an open salsa bar along with complimentary chips for every order. Little touches like that really make the experience even better. Plates here all are priced around $16-$20 a plate, with lots of different traditional flavors, and a host of specialty drinks with a full bar. It's not huge here, but it's one of the few bars in the area, and I would probably make it a staple given the cantinas in Newhall. I tried their sopes, which was 1 for $9.99 and was so friggin huge(I didn't even finish it), and the flavors were dialed in. Fresh and robust ingredients. Salsa was enjoyable too. I was initially craving a Michelada, which was what brought me here, and they happened to have the "Michelada Loka" which was pretty epic for $20. A Modelo and a Corona Michelada, upside down, in a large glass, adorned with shrimp, tajin, and chamoy. Totally my style, and reminds me of "Dos Pistolas" from "Los Originales" down the street, but I digress. I loved the drink but it was a bit pricey, but will definitely be back for it again. All in all, worth the $30 something bucks, I will be back, and if I was in my 20s I'd be here weekly. You should've try it if Hispanic bars are your thing. To each his own. Cheers'
