Amazing! Cute spot. Great service. Good prices. Red hot sauce is fire! Birria tacos (I got no cheese) were tasty! 10/10 Chips perfectly fried. Crispy, not greasy. Salsa has good flavor and not spicy for the gentle pallets

Nasty!!! How about keeping the restaurant clean?

Quick service and great food. We enjoyed our stop. Will definitely stop the next time we're in town.

They were closed at 8:30pm tonight, Saturday, when advertised on the door and online to close at 10pm (Google shows 9pm). And the door was unlocked. Not sure if this is usual but this was our last chance to eat here before we head home to Denver and my boyfriend was so excited to treat me to dinner here. It's his favorite restaurant here. We literally planned this trip and our itinerary for months. If we had known they would close early we would have eaten here for lunch. What a shame. Oh well we are spending our money elsewhere now. So disappointed.

Love this place! On our recent family trip we ate lunch here twice. It is in a very convenient location and has plenty of options. The chicken taco and the quesabirria taco was delish! We will definitely be back when in the area.

Amazing chill place. Order at counter and sit down, food to you in 5 min. Quick service with fresh and delicious food. Very reasonably priced. Tacos and horchata for $16. Best queso birria tacos I've had. Super flavorful and tender meat. Not one piece of grizzly fat. Spicy but not too spicy and everything tasted so fresh. Place is cute and they were playing the new Batman on the tv when we came on Sunday night. Only one other couple there, nice and relaxing and chill. Awesome place!

When I say this is the best Mexican food I've had outside of San Diego I am not kidding! We were greeted promptly and the staff was so friendly and helpful! I even saw the cashier help a guy out who was short a few cents for his food. Just top notch service!! It's small inside so probably not best for large groups to dine in but the food?! It's out of this world. The California burrito was wrapped perfectly, no sense that all the fillings were going to fall out if you set it down like with most burritos! 10/10 highly recommend!

Great carne asada tacos. Everything is homemade and you can taste the love that goes into it. Reasonably priced and good service.

(possibly only available because the rain was coming) There was a rainbow in front of us and a foraging deer behind us. While perusing the menu for vegetarian options, I noticed the poblano chile entree, stuffed with mashed potatoes. That seemed so weirdly bizarre that I ordered it, asking our super friendly server if it was good while doing so. "Yeah, it's good," she said with a glazed look, as though she was dreaming of a life where there are no tourists. Or stupid questions. Or no reason to endure mindless chitchat and can you just state your order so I can get on with my night. Anyway, I was happy for her endorsement because it was delicious. Same for the grilled veggies and Mexican slaw that accompanied it. My wife loved her shrimp tacos. We both can't wait to go back, next time we're in the area, being tourists and all.

The waitress wasn't attentive and never refilled water for our table of 3. There was a miscommunication on one of our orders and she immediately said-you asked for this and we didn't even have it on the menu and didn't offer to make what was wanted but yet didn't say anything when the order was placed about asking for an item that wasn't on the menu. My companions liked the enchiladas. We all had margaritas which were good although all our glasses were very sticky.

But I was let down pretty terribly. Excitement was high as we ordered a Pastor Burrito, Birria, Chorizo, and Pastor Tacos, and Zapata fries. The fries were cold. I don't know how it was too hard to warm up some premade fries, but it managed to happen. The one part of the fries that was good was the pork. And I still wasn't blown away. It really seems like they just can't find a happy medium, because the fries were cold but most of the meats were cooked crematorium-style. I mean, absolutely burnt to a crisp. I also just don't know how hard it is to mess up a good chorizo, but it managed it happen. My Birria Taco was luckily pretty good, but I was just severely disappointed by everything else. Nothing stood out as being especially good-decent, even, in most cases. And we didn't even get any chips to go with our large assortment of salsas. What the heck, man. The pork bumped this review up to two stars, and the pricing was decent, but we still had to spend an extra $20 at a nearby gas station to get the taste of overcooked meat and sadness out of our mouths. I'm not sure how it got this far on Yelp, but I'm going to be the person to say that Zapata may have been the biggest culinary disappointment in my year so far. No wonder, considering the meat tastes like it's been forgotten in the fiery depths of a bonfire for weeks too long.

I played it safe--same burrito for everyone: egg, sausage, potato, cheese. No room for debate, no sibling warfare over who got more cheese. And let me tell you--these things are MASSIVE. I'm genuinely worried one might count as a carry-on item. A very polite young man handed me the bag out the drive-thru window, and I nearly dropped it--it was so heavy I felt like I was accepting a bowling ball made of breakfast joy. They came with a ton of red and green salsa--both awesome, but the red one? Spicy, smoky, and a wake-up call to the soul. I swear I saw stars after the first bite. Yes, I waited a few minutes while they were made fresh--but you don't rush greatness. These burritos are a hug wrapped in foil. I will now be a regular. I grew up eating tamales from Grandma Carrillo. The town grandma. The food here was different than I've ever had. It was good, hot and well presented. BUT, We asked about the green chili there and got a sample to try. My brother and I know our stuff about green chili. We've never had green chili like theirs. It wasn't green chili in our sense of the word. It was more like tons of sour cream with flavorings in it. No heat and (in my opinion) kind of blah. The Chipotle sauce on the enchiladas was very different as well. Same sort cream base. When my brother and I first asked about the chili, in all honesty the waitress had no clue what we meant by green chili. I'm thinking that their versions are related to different recipes from different parts of Mexico. If that makes sense. but.. don't get me wrong, it was very good.
