This restaurant literally saved me from starvation caused by a nearby food hall where they didn't have much selection for food when I was hangry (hungry and angry to be precise!!) Upon quick search online, this restaurant was only a stone's throw from the very food hall. And placing my order online was quite easy although since it was through a 3rd party app, for the restaurant to recognize my order took a minute (I called them after 10-15 minutes after I had placed my order and they fortunately had it in their system where they had already been working on it.) By the time I walked up to it, everything (two fish tacos, refried bean and elotes) were all nicely bagged and ready to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside: Quite the ambience. What was most intriguing were the swing seats at the garage door that opens up at the street side (looking over Tejon Street. See photo I uploaded.) They are perfect place for kids to sit (although they might be (at the same time) dangerous if they are not careful as they can easily fall from them.) Spaciousness with lots of wooden feel. The lightings and tables/chairs all match to be harmonious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Employees/service: Friendlily greeted me upon approaching the kitchen entrance. One of them immediately handed me the food so there was absolutely no wait. Food: Quite good. All of them are good portions and the price points were at par. This was such a fun spot, with amazing happy hour specials. The owner reached out after our review & was so apologetic. She asked us to come back for a second opinion. She did talk with the server who confessed to the bad experience. As a server myself, I just wanted them to be aware of what their staff was doing. My husband & I came back on Wednesday at dinner, we had a phenomenal experience. We didn't tell our server who we were until the end because we wanted a genuine experience and it really was. As I said before, the food was fantastic and they have proven that again! I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I felt it was worth sharing. After we were seated, I noticed my drinking glass was visibly dirty. We waited over 25 minutes before finally flagging down a staff member to ask for a clean glass, place our food order, and order drinks. Instead of helping us, they ignored our request and eventually asked another server to assist us. What made the situation more frustrating was that the restaurant wasn't busy. The tables around us had already received their food, yet we still hadn't even been able to place our order. Later, we noticed our assigned server had been sitting and chatting with other staff members during that time. I'm not someone who likes to complain, but my family flew in to visit for the week, and this was one of the restaurants I was genuinely looking forward to. Surprisingly great. Elote is incredible, Molé chicken enchiladas were sweet and flavorful, and chips were perfect. Tortilla soup was hot and tasty. Salsa was on the bland side, but this place was next to Springhill Suites hotel and very convenient. We saved the salsa in fridge and ate it the next day. It tasted better after marinating. Reminds me of our trip to Mexico. The drink was OK not fantastic, but they were getting ready to close cause we went on a Sunday so we only got to try one thing. Even when we tried to call someone over, they seemed to have bat an eye. I also got their guava mimosa (do not recommend). The food was good, but I had a very terrible bar experience. In the 30 minutes between my bartender taking my order/making my drink and returning to close me out, I was checked up on once by a bartender/server and not only was it not my original bartender, but it wasn't until after I already finished my food and drink that I got checked up on. In fact, behind the bar was completely empty half the time I was there, and the other half of the time it was only filled with servers closing people out in the system with their back turned to the actual bar. I ordered the summer special peach marg and I would describe the LaCroix peach-pear flavor as having a stronger peach flavor than this drink did, to the point where I checked with my bartender (when he eventually came back at the end) to make sure he actually poured me the right drink. I watched him pour the "peach" marg from a batch cocktail, which I would usually have no problem with (I used to work at a restaurant with a bar I understand the value of batch cocktails), but it kinda confuses me how the restaurant could feel comfortable advertising it as a peach flavored drink when they had a chance to taste the batch before they served it. I couldn't even ask for the bartender to fix my drink, since I wanted to at least enjoy my drink with my food before it got cold, which was a good call as like I said, I was not checked up on once between getting my food and finishing it. Overall, very bad bar experience, if you come here i'd recommend against sitting at the bar because you'll be ignored all night, and don't order a cocktail unless you're prepared for it to not taste anything like what's written on the menu. read more

Tuesdays and Thursdays are half price margaritas. The spicy Classic win Tajín was great. We tried the chips, salsa and guacamole for appetizers and the salsa was just right spicy. We had a variety of tacos- carnitas, mushroom, the Macho and the steak with chimichurri. They were yummy! Cute ambience and great service from Carly. Glad we came on our visit to CO Springs.
