This restaurant literally saved me from starvation caused by a nearby food hall where they didn't have much selection for food when I was hangry (hungry and angry to be precise!!) Upon quick search online, this restaurant was only a stone's throw from the very food hall. And placing my order online was quite easy although since it was through a 3rd party app, for the restaurant to recognize my order took a minute (I called them after 10-15 minutes after I had placed my order and they fortunately had it in their system where they had already been working on it.) By the time I walked up to it, everything (two fish tacos, refried bean and elotes) were all nicely bagged and ready to go. Inside: Quite the ambience. What was most intriguing were the swing seats at the garage door that opens up at the street side (looking over Tejon Street. See photo I uploaded.) They are perfect place for kids to sit (although they might be (at the same time) dangerous if they are not careful as they can easily fall from them.) Spaciousness with lots of wooden feel. The lightings and tables/chairs all match to be harmonious. Employees/service: Friendlily greeted me upon approaching the kitchen entrance. One of them immediately handed me the food so there was absolutely no wait. Food: Quite good. Pescado tacos (2), refried beans (looked soupy at first and yet I realized that it was the perfect runny-ness when I took a bite and elotes with lots of flavors. All of them are good portions and the price points were at par. Whereas many will agree with me that this is not the most authentic Mexican place, decent/solid service, fun ambience and good/solid food are three main elements that make me say that I was quite happy that I got some food from Zocalo to satisfy my hangry-ness. read more

We went here for our layover and had brunch . The quesabirria and chicken pipian were my fave! Being in here makes you feel like you've been transported to Tulum,Mx . The bartender named Eduardo was an absolute joy and made delicious drinks (margs to be exact)! Great customer service and well worth my money. I can't wait to come back. read more

Tasty tacos, great location downtown. You can walk here or get meter parking. You can sit at the bar or they will seat you. Get the birria tacos, they are great. Service is OK, mostly a bunch of 20-something-year-olds focused on chatting rather than the customers. Gives off a frat boy vibe. Not really my scene, but the food was great for the 30 min I stopped in for a bite. read more

Was excited about the ceviche on the summer menu. What I got did NOT match the description on the menu. No shrimp, sweet potatoes or corn. This had avocado, cucumber and red grapes. I was told the one I got was a better version of it. I enjoyed it for the most part except for the grapes...but it was not what I expected. No apologies and no offer to change the item out. Took our granddaughters to Zocalo for lunch and on the way, one granddaughter told me Mexican food was not her favorite. But they both enjoyed the tacos and had them customized to their liking. Our wait person, Grace, was very accommodating and even the owner/chef Sergio stopped by our table to chat. Great ambiance and the swings were a hit with the kids, too. The Ensalada mixta was probably the best salad I've ever had. Besides shredded romaine, it had avocado, corn, roasted green peppers and a great tasting dressing. Guac had only white onions so every bit had sharp and tasted of only onions. Ordered a fried chicken taco and received a kids chicken tender in the taco... truely shocked. The nachos had huge Jalapeno chunks that were edible. The place looked nice and the service was good but I can't imagine coming back here for any food. read more

Surprisingly great. Elote is incredible, Molé chicken enchiladas were sweet and flavorful, and chips were perfect. Tortilla soup was hot and tasty. Salsa was on the bland side, but this place was next to Springhill Suites hotel and very convenient. We saved the salsa in fridge and ate it the next day. It tasted better after marinating. So it recovered very well. Margarita was well made and not too sweet or sour. Perfectly balanced. read more

Reminds me of our trip to Mexico. The drink was OK not fantastic, but they were getting ready to close cause we went on a Sunday so we only got to try one thing. Even when we tried to call someone over, they seemed to have bat an eye. I also got their guava mimosa (do not recommend). Prefect for after hicking the Garden of the Gods . Perfect spot for photo opts! Atmosphere was so nice and welcoming! They have a bar section where you can eat and swing. I love their tacos. They are reasonably priced. And they are absolutely delicious. And on Taco Tuesday they are even more affordable. I love the sweet potato crisps with the taco with zucchini it is the Esquites. The one with portobello mushrooms is also excellent. And the fish taco one is good. I honestly don't think I have had one that I don't like. Their atmosphere is fun. I especially like their wooden swings in the front window. I also like their lobster quesadilla. Tuesdays and Thursdays are half price margaritas. The spicy Classic win Tajín was great. We tried the chips, salsa and guacamole for appetizers and the salsa was just right spicy. Our server was decent at first, but once he realized the tip was automatically included, we barely saw him again; meanwhile, the smaller tables got the real attention. My plate honestly felt a little sad because the chicken was dry and lacked flavor. Also, for a brunch spot, not offering coffee is just wild to me. The atmosphere and aesthetic were actually really nice, the space is bright and well put together, and the swings are a fun touch that definitely add to the vibe. But that only goes so far. A $16+ breakfast burrito feels like a stretch. I know prices are up, but breakfast should be more accessible, not a luxury. Drinks were okay. I also tried the lobster quesadilla, and while it sounded fancy, it barely had any lobster despite the price. All in all, great setting, but the food and service didn't live up to it.
