This is one of those little hidden spots that only locals know about. It's in an enlarged house tucked away at the base of a mountain, well off the main drag in Manitou. The patio is wonderful in nice weather. The food is fantastic and fairly priced. The margaritas are easily the best in the city. If there are 2+ of you, order the margs by the pitcher. (The smaller pitcher=4 margs.) I recommend the Mexican Mixto, which lets you sample a range of offerings. It's also large enough that I get two full meals out of it, which makes it the best value on the menu. Service is always great here. The staff seems happy even when the place is packed, which is usually is on the weekends. Insider tip: Get there by 5 p.m. or expect a wait that can stretch to an hour. read more

The waitress wasn't attentive and never refilled water for our table of 3. There was a miscommunication on one of our orders and she immediately said-you asked for this and we didn't even have it on the menu and didn't offer to make what was wanted but yet didn't say anything when the order was placed about asking for an item that wasn't on the menu. Crystal Park Cantina is very off the beaten path. You will not find tourists who wander downtown Manitou get to this restaurant. I highly recommend it. The food was good. everybody had a good time and enjoyed our time (group of 12). They have a diverse margarita menu and good food. Probably best to use Google maps to get there. It is out-of-the-way and in a very residential area, but I'll go back again. I'm generally a tough year and don't give out four and five stars often. I can't see a reason to give it anything less than four stars. read more

For a very Mexican looking restaurant it was surprisingly very white. Wanted some authentic Molcajete and what I got was a white washed version....no bowl no cactus, one green onion, a piece of red bell pepper and a sliver of an onion. We went here for lunch today 7/9/24 and it was pretty good. We got there for an early lunch around 11 and looked like the firsts guests there. (We have been on a mission to find good Mexican food here and it's hard) We were seated fast and got nice cold water brought to our table which we decided to sit out on the patio and it was really nice plus they had umbrellas so was helpful with the sun out. The salsa wasn't the best salsa (just hard to find a really amazing salsa which has a good kick, :( so that was a bummer but I've had worse so it wasn't that bad but wasn't something I would want to go back and try again). The pulled pork tacos were great thought. It was done well and had a good flavor too and the beans were awesome and rice was different than what I'm used to but it was good. We have been coming here for years - over 10, and pretty much always order the same thing to eat and alternate between our favorite margs. The thing that will make or break a restaurant is consistency and quality and they had both. However, we just ate there and I am not sure that we will return. We had the spinach/poblano enchiladas covered with green chile as usual. This time, the green chili had no flavor and seemed like it had come out of a can...its consistency was gelatinous and flavorless. Then, we were really wanting our margs (rough couple of weeks) and they are known for their potent and perfect margs. We don't want to snooze too soon so went with our other midday usual which is a sangria-margarita. My first sip was so disappointing because all I tasted was club soda and sweetness...no hint of tequila or lime or anything that resembled what it should have tasted like. My daughter and I found this cute and charming place after a day of shopping in Manitou. We were very happy and surprised by what we found. The parking is a little tricky. There's a few slots and then space on the opposite side of the road, which was pretty busy on a Friday afternoon. The building and interior was very cute and looked very nice with the various colors and decorations giving off a great authentic Mexican vibe. The restaurant was very lively for 2 pm on a Friday and the two waitresses were very busy, but handling things well. I felt a bit bad for them when a difficult woman came in to eat, yet they handled her well and directed her smoothly. Great service! As for the food it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were so good and everything tasted so good. We were especially impressed with the guacamole and my steak tacos were wonderfully marinated. If I had to say anything needed work, the salsa tasted a bit burnt or overdone. Prices were very reasonable and we were just really pleased with our find. Steak tacos he said we're absolutely delicious. My shrimp tacos were good but they needed a little bit more flavor. The mango salsa was good, but there was very little of it on the tacos.
