By far one of the best little spots this little city can have! Pleasant staff, fresh food, depends on the time of day that it will be busy or not. The menu is large enough to have variety, but small enough to know that you're getting good food. The price is comparable to other places but better than even some "upscale" places. I came to El Taco Rico for the Fish tacos. I love fish tacos that are battered, not the Tilapia tacos (gross). El Taco Rico is a great place for tacos and their menu is showcased with photos. Oh yeah I got a chicken quesadilla as well. Only one negative, our food took so long, but oh well people showed up right after the staff taking my order so I won't complain too much. Anyways the fish tacos came with a cream sauce, cabbage, salsa, and battered white fish, I thought cod, but the tacos were so good. And the tortillas were good too. The fish tacos were pretty good, that's all I can say. The chicken quesadilla was very good too. The chicken was seasoned and the cheese was tasty. The food was a not as hot, but still good. I don't know if the girls that work here know us and don't like us but when we order by phone, we come in and our order is not ready. We have to come in person and order. I once waited outside and saw a few people come in and out with their orders in seconds! First time trying menudo and it was surprisingly amazing despite the look. Keep in mind I've never tried menudo and the only Mexican food I've had are tacos and tamales so seeing menudo I was very scared. I was not a fan of the honeycomb meat (which turned out to be tripe) but I really liked the white circle (which turned out to be hommony). Although the meat scared me the soup is definitely worth it. The soup is spicy but it's not too bad. There's a deep flavor and not salty at all like most American soup. Other stuff at this restaurant is decent EXCEPT their Jamaica.
