Wednesdays and Thursdays they are at 2244 N Justin Ave, Simi Valley. Friday to Sunday at the Heywood address. Love the Fantasma and birria tacos. Keep coming back for more. Service is also awesome. They are very nice & patient.

Honestly very disappointed I was excited to see a taco truck in Simi and the line of people waiting must have meant it was good, but I didn't love it or even like it. The asada was not "asada" (grilled) it tasted almost like boiled sweaty meaty and it wasn't the traditional cut of meat used for asada (ranchera aka flank) It was desmillo, not only that but the birria tacos just came on a tortilla that hadn't been griddled, didnt have cheese, wasn't served with a dipping sauce it was just very bland very boring. I'll keep driving to the Valley for my tacos.

Found this place by chance, and will be returning many more times by desire. I don't even know where to start. The food was great! My boyfriend and I tried every kind of taco (including the birriango - hope I spelled it right) and my favorite was the asada! My least favorite was the tripa (intestine) but even though I'm not an organ kinda gal I think it would've been bomb to someone who could appreciate it! Don't even get me started on the raspada tho. I saw Yelp reviews about it, had 0 idea what it was except for it getting great praise, and I was not let down! It's a shaved ice / slush drink, and I asked Joana what flavor to get and she recommended mixing guava and vanilla. Dude the guava in it was SO tasty and definitely a new favorite treat of mine. This place is perfect for a quick bite, a post- gym protein load, or anytime you want some fast savory deliciousness. Ps- Joana is literally the sweetest, most patient and kind service provider ever. Big love to her!

For a Simi Valley food truck, very good! After hearing the hype and living so close, decided to check out El Tacon snuggled between Ralph's and 76. I tried the birriongo, chicken, al pastor and carne asada tacos with a Guava drink. I was looking forward most to the birria tacos but were nothing special admittedly. Decent flavor but I have had better birria tacos in the valley and LA. The tacos were good with chicken and carne asada being my favorite. The al pastor seemed off and needed more flavors. Will return with it being so close.

    Burriongo Taco- Highly Recommend!!

Best birria tacos in Simi! This is my go to spot when I'm craving something hot, beefy, cheesy, tasty and spicy. They come with consommé to dip into. Your eyes will be rolled back after you take that first slurpy bite! They're conveniently located on the corner of Sycamore and LA Ave by the gas station. Their salsas are pretty darn good too, so be sure to ask for extra red and green salsa on the side!

It's always taco night at El Tacon 118- Thought we'd celebrate National Taco Day (on a Tuesday nite, of course ) and dig into our fave asada, pollo and house specialty Birria street tacos - Generous portions of meat with perfect onion, cilantro and verde sauce - Top notch as always- Oh- and cash only as always- Bring your piggy bank change

For a food truck in Simi, this place is surprisingly good! Anywhere I can get food for 4 for under $40 is already a win. This place is cash only, though, so keep that in mind. Their menu is pretty minimal, and we sampled pretty much everything they have to offer. A vegetarian burrito, birriongo tacos, a torta, and a few different street tacos. Everyone in my family was happy with their meal! I had tacos and tried chicken, carne asada, and al pastor. The al pastor was delicious and so was the chicken! While the asada wasn't bad, I probably wouldn't order it again as it was a little underwhelming. But overall, everything was still really yummy.

I was skeptical at first, order one each of the classics taco food truck to try. I got some tacos, a burrito and least but not last a torta(mexican sandwich). They all ware pretty good, they took their time to prepare but it was worth the wait, I only could mean fresh made. The asada(steak) tacos and torta were yummy, but what really stole the show was the birria burrito, rich in flavor. Overall pretty good food for a quick bite. Their raspados do not look like the typical mexican raspados that you get in other places, their raspados look more like a shave ice, maybe after trying raspados from other places my expectations are a little to high for a raspado. I will definitely will go back.

This food truck is a great addition to central Simi and has amazing food! I had the birria, pastor, asada, and chicken tacos, all of which were great! I'll definitely be returning to try the torta and an al pastor quesadilla. The salsa is also great, and actually has quite a bit of heat. I would highly recommend to anyone that likes authentic Mexican food!

Oh my goodness. Best tacos in Simi Valley in my opinion. You can't get birria everywhere so it's nice they have it. The chicken and asada tacos are so good. But I got a asada fantasma taco and WOW. The tortilla is replaced with melted cheese. It was the best accident ever. Service is friendly but they're just a little truck so there can be a long wait. Cash only.

2 birria, 2 asada, 1 biriongo taco with birria consume. very flavorful

Five of us dined and everyone loved their food! We started with shredded beef nachos which were wonderful! The chili verde, chicken enchiladas and asada plate were all a hit! I personally could not wait to order the chicken mole' enchiladas (I LOVE mole' and heard theirs was amazing) BUT THEY RAN OUT! So disappointed! That's all I wanted, never even looked at the menu! It's not even 7pm yet? Why oh why do you not have enough for the Friday night rush!!?? When our waitress came back to to tell me they ran out of it, (she was very sweet and apologetic) and she had already put everyone's order in - I had no idea what I wanted ‍ so I ordered a chicken taco which didn't come out until about 5-10 minutes after everyone else's food was served. Other than that snag (my reason for the 4 stars not 5) their food is awesome! I'm definitely wanting to come back for the mole' and highly recommend coming here!

Neon lights, cute signage, and overall they just did a really great job with the design and execution. There's a lot going on but it doesn't feel cheap. Ambiance is definitely A+. For dinner on a weeknight we found this spot wasn't too busy but we also came after happy hour. It was a relaxed vibe. Service was overall pretty good. I felt like all of the gals working were very very sweet and nice. Also, anytime we stopped them to ask for refills and such we got what we asked for. That's my only upgrade as since it wasn't super busy, it would have been nice for the staff to catch the refills on water or salsa on their own/more proactively but hey, it was again a relaxed lowkey night and the staff couldn't have been lovelier. I'm just curious how the service would be if they were super busy? Now on to the food and drinks. The menu was very impressive! Solid cocktail and drinks menu. I'm bummed I didn't get a cocktail but my party doesn't drink so it was more fun to get an agua Fresca with them. The guava one was good and served nicely chilled. However, next time I'll definitely get a cocktail because their drinks looked fun and beautiful. The food was definitely the standout for me. I ordered the cheese enchiladas Suizas and they were a 10/10. Not comparable to most enchiladas I've had but the sauce was fantastic and unique. I really loved these enchiladas and I'd honestly get them again. Solid flavor in the rice and beans as well. My friends also enjoyed their meal and it seemed like everyone was happy. The pricing is a little steep for Mexican food but also the ambiance and presentation make sense to me why it'd be a little more. For the three of us the bill was over $100. And that's for three mains and three non-alcoholic drinks. Normally at $33-ish a person I'd hope for at least a beer with my enchiladas, so keep that in mind. As a special occasion place or a spot to celebrate this spot is truly fantastic. I honestly loved my meal so much that even with the price point I'd rush back and bring more friends because this spot is vibey. Nice staff and a cute spot to diner, 5 stars in my books given the quality, taste of the food and the overall experience.

I also saw they had a taco flight. I knew I had to try those as well. I wanted to try all the different meat options to find the flavors I like. The Birria taco was my favorite flavor. Some of the meats were a little dry. I wish they had a little more flavor to them. They gave me two different salsas to add and that helped. But I would definitely like to see the flavors of the tacos improve. I always crave sushi. That was a must try for me. I thought I would try the fiesta mariachi roll for the first trip here. It was delicious. I'm craving more! I think next time I will have to try some of the other sushi options since this one was so good. Also since they basically have flights for everything..... While my dad was calmly trying to speak with the employees at the front desk to understand what happened, they literally walked away from him instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue. That level of disrespect and lack of customer service was unacceptable. If the restaurant has different policies for major events like the World Cup, they need to communicate that clearly and make sure all employees are giving customers accurate information.
