Guacamole and chips

Authentic Mexican food with nice staff. This place seems more of a takeout place but my husband and I gave it a try. Especially since it has great reviews on Yelp. There is ample parking. No problem finding a spot close by. Once we entered the restaurant, the server asked if we were ordering takeout. I let him know we walked to dine in. He told us to grab a seat and brought menus. There is a limited alcoholic drink selection - beers and margaritas. The margaritas are legit! Tasty and strong, just how we like them. We were super impressive with the quality and freshness of the food. You could tell that the tortillas were homemade. My husband got the carne asada plate. He loved it! I tried a bite of his taco - delicious! I ordered the Huarache which is a tortilla stuffed with beans and a good selection of toppings. I got the carne asada. I added avocado to my dish too. Additionally, we ordered a side of guacamole too. The guacamole and salsa come with chips. If there is one thing I would change, the chips. They seemed store brought. I might be spoiled after eating everything else that was so delicious made. Definitely will be back! Excited to try more too.

I ordered food from this place through DoorDash and was super excited to try it since it appeared to have good reviews. I'm not sure if it the food I chose but I disliked and regretted eating here. The carne asada tacos were bland and even the green sauce had zero flavor. The pupusas had potatoes inside and that was strange and not appetizing in my opinion, there was no cheese pull and no tomato sauce provided. The best thing was the cucumber lime drink. I spent around $30 bucks for poor quality and flavorless food! I don't recommend at all!

First time here and I am happy I gave it a try! I decided to go with the Huarache with pastor and it was very delicious! I loved the pork, it's was diced up and nice and tender and juicy. The handmade corn tortilla filled with beans that it all sat on top of was very good. Great chips and salsa. I topped it off with a Pacifico, and had a great lunch! Will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! Friendly staff and good service too! The ambiance it nice as well. I love the wall art and table art. Very fun decorating for a lively place to eat!

20241102 first time visit and definitely will be back. They named it right! Authentic for sure! My server recommended the smoked pork chop plate and I had mine with flour tortillas. Super yum!! My husband had the chile verde plate with corn tortillas. Led with a yummy homemade verde salsa and corn chips. Bonus: our side of beans came in a cute red corn chip "saucer" yum!.

Sooooo, I wanted to rate this restaurant as the reviews reeled me in. I came here on a Sunday afternoon with my husband to have some quality time, and luckily we were in the area and found this place. For me, huaraches are a delicacy because not every Mexican place offers this dish. The name itself is very catchy. So I ordered a couple different things per the yelpers advise; for one the huarache, second the quesadilla dorada with Tinga and lastly, the coctel de Camaron, by the time the coctel came out I was stuffed and took it to go! The real review in the huarache was a 3 for me. Not great because the meat quality wasn't good. They use a cheaper thinner meat that has a lot of fat. But the taste for the huarache was decent. Secondly, The quesadilla was too oily... it came right out of the fryer, which for me was excessive . Lastly, the coctel I think was the highlight. We took it home and had it for dinner, after some refrigeration the ingredients married well together and was very tasty! So I definitely recommend the coctel.

I had the Chile Relleno combo with a chicken enchilada. My wife had the steak and shrimp fajitas. The Chile Relleno was the best. It was stuffed with real Mexican cheese. Very tasty. The chicken enchilada was good, bit needed more chicken. The fajitas were tasty, but maybe not the best we've tried. Still worth getting. We left extremely full and satisfied. Our waiter was super friendly. We will be back.

I've been hearing about how wonderful this Mexican restaurant is and I can see the community agrees! We waited about 20 minutes to be seated - not bad at all! The hostess, servers and busboys are so friendly and on top of EVERYTHING! They have a full bar, the margaritas are great! It's very loud in there so be prepared! Five of us dined and everyone loved their food! We started with shredded beef nachos which were wonderful! The chili verde, chicken enchiladas and asada plate were all a hit! I personally could not wait to order the chicken mole' enchiladas (I LOVE mole' and heard theirs was amazing) BUT THEY RAN OUT! So disappointed! That's all I wanted, never even looked at the menu! It's not even 7pm yet? Why oh why do you not have enough for the Friday night rush!!?? When our waitress came back to to tell me they ran out of it, (she was very sweet and apologetic) and she had already put everyone's order in - I had no idea what I wanted ‍ so I ordered a chicken taco which didn't come out until about 5-10 minutes after everyone else's food was served. Other than that snag (my reason for the 4 stars not 5) their food is awesome! I'm definitely wanting to come back for the mole' and highly recommend coming here!

Neon lights, cute signage, and overall they just did a really great job with the design and execution. There's a lot going on but it doesn't feel cheap. Ambiance is definitely A+. For dinner on a weeknight we found this spot wasn't too busy but we also came after happy hour. It was a relaxed vibe. Service was overall pretty good. I felt like all of the gals working were very very sweet and nice. Also, anytime we stopped them to ask for refills and such we got what we asked for. That's my only upgrade as since it wasn't super busy, it would have been nice for the staff to catch the refills on water or salsa on their own/more proactively but hey, it was again a relaxed lowkey night and the staff couldn't have been lovelier. I'm just curious how the service would be if they were super busy? Now on to the food and drinks. The menu was very impressive! Solid cocktail and drinks menu. I'm bummed I didn't get a cocktail but my party doesn't drink so it was more fun to get an agua Fresca with them. The guava one was good and served nicely chilled. However, next time I'll definitely get a cocktail because their drinks looked fun and beautiful. The food was definitely the standout for me. I ordered the cheese enchiladas Suizas and they were a 10/10. Not comparable to most enchiladas I've had but the sauce was fantastic and unique. I really loved these enchiladas and I'd honestly get them again. Solid flavor in the rice and beans as well. My friends also enjoyed their meal and it seemed like everyone was happy. The pricing is a little steep for Mexican food but also the ambiance and presentation make sense to me why it'd be a little more. For the three of us the bill was over $100. And that's for three mains and three non-alcoholic drinks. Normally at $33-ish a person I'd hope for at least a beer with my enchiladas, so keep that in mind. As a special occasion place or a spot to celebrate this spot is truly fantastic. I honestly loved my meal so much that even with the price point I'd rush back and bring more friends because this spot is vibey. Nice staff and a cute spot to diner, 5 stars in my books given the quality, taste of the food and the overall experience.

Cons: Food was bland (breakfast burrito and Huevos con Machaca) compared to Mission Burrito. Salsa, came in plastic bottles red or green, were very weak. Overall, price for food was average. But considering what we didn't get which is flavor, I thought price was too much. Not sure if I'd return, but only if someone pays for my meal first which I'll gladly reimburse if they made it better. 3 stars is average, so I'd give it a 2.5 at most.
