I wanted to really like Tacos Chano. I normally like taco trucks. I ordered an Al Pastor burrito which was okay, not my favorite. It was very big, with plenty of beans and rice. The Al pastor was okay, but not my favorite. My spouse liked the veggie taco (beans and rice). They were very nice and the service was fast. I just wish I liked the burrito more. Finally made it and arrived with people in line, which is definitely a good sign. The lady at the register was so friendly. She informed us they are open 6 days a week and closed on Mondays. It's located next to Central Market on the corner of Moorpark Ave and Poindexter. There was a churro stand across from them when we stopped by (on a Friday night) so dessert was also an option! As for the food: the asada burrito was tasty! The meat perfectly seasoned just the way we like it and far from being bland and over shadowed by the rice and beans. The pastor tacos were also good but for me had a bit more cinnamon flavor (which was too much for my liking). The asada tacos were good as well only wished they were more on the grilled side but that is just my preference! Nevertheless, the food was definitely tasty and excited to work my way thru their menu! read more

Purely a burrito review. Ordered an asada burrito with cheese (cheese was an extra $2) which came out to $12. The person working was very polite and my order came around 5 minutes later. The burrito itself was a good size and the asada was decently seasoned but there were quite a bit of tough chewy bits that I didn't enjoy. I also found that the extra $2 for cheese was not worth it as I didn't find much throughout. Overall it's an ok burrito but I don't see myself returning. The truck is located on the side of a small grocery parking lot so if you come here a bit later like I did (around 8:30?) you won't have any issues parking. read more

The reviews and the amount of people who line up made me think the food was going to be good. I got 3 asada tacos one night and I wish I had gone to bed hungry instead of eating here. This taco truck makes a pretty good burrito. I ordered a carne asada, which was huge and could only eat half, and a quesotaco that was delicious. I always rate my first carne asada experience on taste, tenderness and the amount of gristle. The taste was average to a little above average, the meat is tender and juicy and I only found one small bite of gristle which is great from a taco truck. An additional bonus while you are waiting for your food is a quick visit to the guy making churros who deserves your $7 bucks because they are amazing. read more
