Chips salsa chips hardbold and ice cold salsa was good

After a few good mexican restaurants in radcliff but continuing to look for some good salsa...we decided to try etown entering the establishment the vibe was good was promptly seated with menus I went to use the restroom washed my hands came out still no chips salsa or drink order placed waited another 10 min till that was taken this was 745pm so not busy not slow. Finally got our chips and salsa chips were cold and hard as a rock but the salsa was actually good compared to what ive been getting in the area we asked for warm chips and the waitress thought i said more finally she understood and they were a lil better. I ordered a fajita as did my boyfriend finally his came out with jalapeños which wasn't added so it was returned mine came out smaller than a lunch serving but I didn't complain took a bite of my rice and beans both ice cold he tried his and the same tried explaining to the waitress about our horrible experience and she had the manager who came over and apologized did give a discount but I will not be returning was a horrible first experience and I usually give 2 chances but to many better options than to waste my time here again. Let me add my fajita was meat and onion no veggies and small pictures added

This Flan is sad... looked sad and tasted sad.

Service was somewhat okay aside from the fact that another waiter tried taking our order 10 minutes after the first waiter had already taken it. Now for the food.... The food is not the best Mexican food I have had. I won't go too far and say it is the worst because the California Burrito I had would have been phenomenal had it not been cold. The flan I had on the other hand... that was the worst flan I have ever had in my 27 years on this Earth. It was smaller than normal for flan and poorly presented as you can see in the picture I have posted. The picture they have on the menu of the flan looks nothing like how they actually serve it to you and thus, was very disappointing since I had been looking forward to it since the moment I saw it on the menu. The flan had no flavor to it on top of the poor presentation and the chocolate that was sloppily drizzled on it had a strange taste to it as though it was some sort of imitation chocolate. I'm not going to come back, I'm sorry, I just can't. I am actually feeling pretty sick after having made it out to my car. Sick enough to where I threw up a bit.

Visited again on another trip home to see family. We enjoyed good service and the food was delicious. We both had chicken chimichangas and there was food left to take home. This is a great place to visit if you're in the area.

I am not always in the mood for Mexican food, but El Tapatio is great. It is always my friends and I's go-to for Mexican. I went for my third time last week and enjoyed it yet again. The pricing is reasonable. I often just get a couple tacos (a la carte) and it fills me up. You can buy three a la carte tacos for four to five dollars, and they aren't small by any means. If im feeling a bit more hungry, I usually get a burrito. The full meals can get a bit more pricey but, for the amount you receive, it is definitely a fair price. Two people eating there will run you about 18-25, depending on drinks and appetizers of course. I feel the location is one of the main selling points. It is right in the middle of town, sitting in the same shopping center as Kroger. Inside is nice and clean usually and it is rarely ever too crowded during the day. I would recommend trying El Tapatio out if you are feeling like Mexican. They have a friendly staff, reasonable prices, and great food!

A small view of our table. Delicious!

We were leaving for the second leg of our trip and were running late, as usual. We decided to run across the street for a sit down lunch, what's another hour? Two smiling faces greeted us at the door. They offered a high top but my hip was absolutely not digging it nor a table up the flight of steep stairs. Once seated, we were greeted promptly and had water in front of us almost immediately. We each ordered soup and then a sandwich to share. I had the Sopa de Pollo . A hot bowl thick with thin noodles and lots of chunks of chicken. The chunks were too big to eat without being cut up which was a challenge in a bowl of broth. It was so hot that I had to wait a while to try it and even then had to blow on it. It was delicious. Unless the soup is your meal, order a cup. I still took nearly a pint of soup back with me. My husband ordered the Frijole Negro - a huge bowl of black beans that was served with a large pile of raw onions on top. Like the chicken soup, it was burn your mouth hot and a very large serving. He said it was good but he'd not order it again. Moving on to the sandwich. We had the Cubano. I'm not even going to describe it - just trust me - order the Cubano. Do not look at the rest of the menu - order the Cubano. Don't even bother looking at the ingredients, just order the Cubano. Have you ordered it yet? Do it already. The Cubano is huge. We split one half and had the other when we arrived at our next stop. Do consider that we had soup first; otherwise, we'd have eaten the whole thing. The accompanying plantain chips were worthy of their own review. They were wonderful. Who knows if and when we'll be back to Louisville but when we are, La Bodeguita will be the first place we stop. BTW, have you ordered the Cubano yet? What are you waiting for? Put your phone done and order it! Enjoy!!

Chef Ben made our night when he came out to chat with us about the turmeric aioli we were enjoying with the small plate of potatoes. I just discovered Louisville is a 2 hour drive from where I live and have come back twice in 2 months. Both stays, I've managed to eat at Naïve twice. I love delicious, plant forward menu. Cauliflower, pickle plate, anything with broccolini. I'm an omnivore, so the steak and short ribs and crispy chicken sandwish have also been items I've enjoyed. The only thing I've tried that I didn't want to rave about was the salmon croquettes (just not as flavorful as you'd think based on the kimchi mention and the breading takes over), but I give them a pass considering how much everything else is top notch!! Don't sleep on that dark chocolate torte. On my most recent visit, I tried some of the cocktails and there is just nothing I won't order from this place. Grateful that the menu changes seasonally, so there is always something new to try! I'll be back again and again.

Their outdoor patio is one of my favorites. It's crisp and clean--and the weeping willow is gorg. Drinks were fire--regular marg, spicy marg, avocado marg (don't be scared--delish), and cab The new menu is Latin inspired, compared to the old menu that as very vegetable forward (which I loved). Still smaller, shareable plates, fresh ingredients with flare.
