The food is the most authentic Mexican I've had since I stopped an hour from Cabo San Lucas at a roadside eatery. Salsa and chips? Homemade and fresh! Chips were hot. Street tacos, empanadas, quesadillas Tortas, burritos and tamales- I think that is the whole menu. No Tex mex, no chimichangas, no Speedy Gonzalez special- this is more authentic. In fact, the waitress/cashier was the only other person in the building that spoke ANY English- including other patrons. Is this fancy? Nope. Is it clean? Yup. The shrimp street tacos were the best food in our opinion- tied with the chips and salsa. Also had carne asada and chorizo tacos and Burria empanadas and the shrimp was the best. Entire restaurant and bathrooms are handicap accessible, but this place is not right next to parking. It is in a little outdoor mall area, at the back, so you'll need to park and go maybe 100-150 yards to the door. If you need fried ice cream and a mariachi band, you need to stop elsewhere, but if you are looking for good quality, authentic food for a really reasonable price- this is it. read more

Best Mexican food in all of Etown, for a good price too. The different meat selection is so divine, every one of them tastes amazing. My current favorite is the chorizo. There's also a wide variety of foods that you can get, they aren't a one trick pony like a lot of other authentic Mexican restaurants are, not to name names. The food comes out quick, and you can get your own bottled drinks from the fridges, which I really like! The waiters/waitresses are always quick, too. The restaurant is very quiet and never really crowded, so if you want to have a nice lunch or early dinner to yourself, you can. However, the quiet atmosphere isn't so intense to where you feel like you can't talk at all if you bring people. It's my favorite underrated spot, and I enjoy the store attached next door. read more

I've been coming here since they only had the small seating area in the store so I can't believe it took me this long to leave a review! There's never a wait and the service is what you expect of an authentic Mexican restaurant. I've never had any issues and one visit, they charged me for something I never got and they easily resolved the issue before I paid. You walk in, they seat you, and bring chips and salsa. I will say, I feel like their salsa definitely could be improved and I wasn't a fan of their guacamole when I ordered it once. I often get their horchata, which doesn't seem to be on the menus anymore (at least the ones I get), but it's quite good. I always order two lengua tacos and while I think I can eat a lot, just two fill me up. They're always very generous with the amount of meat given in the tacos! I will admit that the salsa verde is too spicy for me though, but limes are always given anyways. My partner loves getting their tortas and he always has a tiny bit leftover. With everything said, I think it's clear that this place is very authentic. After you're done eating, you go up to the counter to pay. Mexico Lindo is the best Mexican restaurant in the Fort Knox/E-Town area. Previously serving food from the store area, they recently expanded into a stand-alone site next to the store. We've enjoyed their delicious tortas (sandwiches) and their tacos are some of the best out there. I am partial to the barbacoa and my wife prefers the chicharrón tacos. The restaurant is easily overlooked, as it is located near the rear of the Peddler's Mall plaza. Again, highly recommend it! read more

This place is all kinds of yummy! Service was good - our server was very sweet and patient with us. We were very indecisive but so pleased with our choice! The chips were perfectly crispy and flaky! Mexico Lindo just opened up a new restaurant area. Before, it was part of the grocery area. Now, it is it totally separate and has its own entrance. I still love this place. They have great food. Service is okay, never spectacular. On my latest visit they brought chips and salsa to the table. They had changed both and for the better. The chips were homemade and fresh. My sister and I both loved them. Their salsa didn't look impressive but it was some of the best I've ever had. I got a large steak burrito. It was HUGE and stuffed full. Their steak us excellent. It needed sour cream, so i got a side of it. They didn't charge me for it. I definitely couldn't eat the whole thing, so brought the rest home. Sometimes on weekends they have pozole soup. My husband and I love authentic Mexican food and stopped in to Mexico Lindo on Friday. We ordered take away while shopping in the grocery store half of this establishment. Service was very friendly and from what we could tell, they were observing Covid safety precautions. We ordered one of each type of taco (there are ten options) and ate them outside at a patio table. The tacos are served traditionally, as double tortillas topped only with cilantro and onion, with lime and salsa verde on the side. The meats in the tacos are the stars here. Honestly all but one was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend the barbacoa, lingua and the chicharrones. Yummy and affordable. Don't let the strip-mall vibe turn you off. Service is not especially quick for a Mexican place, and that's fine because your food is prepared fresh for you after you order it. The atmosphere is very casual and the prices are good. The menu is simple: tacos, tostadas, Torres, empanadas, and chips and salsa. The chips were fried fresh and outstanding. Favorites fir us included: Chorizo tostadas (not too spicy but excellent flavor), carne asada tacos (served simply with onions and cilantro), and pollo tacos (the chicken was the spiciest meat). My son ordered a pollo quesadilla, but it was just okay. I'd stick to tostados and tacos. One of our friends is from the Dominican Republic and he felt right at home here. He said the horchata (a sweet rice drink packed with sugar and cinnamon) was perfect. If you are in the area, DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. One last thing. You can ask for chips and salsa, it's not on the menu, and it's fried up as you order as with all the other food. The salsa is tasty and sauces are very spicy, which is a good thing. The owners are always there and they are very nice and welcoming. They definitely put a lot of effort in offering great authentic food. It's a great little place, but the food was fresh but was confusing, the menu needs to be in English a bit more explaining what went on each plate or what you could get, I ordered the taco and it came on a great soft shell, meat was great but it was covered in cilantro and that was it, no tomato's or lettuce, no sauce, although the table had a lime sauce, yuk, and a hot sauce, the soup was great but not on the menu, the burritos where big and pretty good, the chicken was dry, will have to give it another try read more

Elizabethtown DOES NOT KNOW what a precious little restaurant it has in Mexico Lindo. Everything is reasonably priced, it's super kid friendly, and everything that passes your lips is DELICIOUS. We have yet to try their burritos or tostadas because they make their tacos so perfectly. Lingua, carne asada, pollo, whatever you order will be authentic and amazing. Their green and red sauces are a great addition to the taco. We love the sauces so much we take some home every time. This place is truly a diamond in the rough, and their new restaurant addition is so nice. My husband says it's on par with the best hole-in-the-wall authentic Mexican joints he ate at when he lived in Texas. My to go taco spot!! This small restaurant and grocery store is located in the heart of E-town off Dixie hwy in the shopping plaza next to the peddlers mall and planet fitness. Hidden in the back (also there is parking in the back so you don't have to walk a bit)small but charming. Now.. before I get into the food, some not all but some are Spanish speaking servers and cashiers. They do understand English and they understand Spanglish. But if this is an issue for you.. I'm sorry but these place is delicious. Kinda of a hole in the wall vibes, but they are super friendly here. Pick your own seating and they will be with fairly quick if they aren't busy with a menu. They are a cooler with an assortment of drink and tres leches cake. They do have horchata, Jamaica, tamarindo drink that can be ordered as well. Menu is basic tacos, empanadas, tortas, tostadas, burritos, quesadillas and tamales with different types of meats to choose from and most come with a lettuce cheese topping. They have secret menu items as well, like chips and salsa and plted with rice and beans but I haven't ordered those, just seen them. But this time I took a turn from my usual lengua tacos and a carne asada tostada and dove into tortas. This monster of a sandwich was LOADED!!! On a crispy bun this torta was packed with bite sized pieces of carne asada (steak) black beans paste, mayo, avocado chunks, pico, lettuce for days, jalapeños and some cotija cheese. I had to cut this beast in 1/2 and 1/2 of it was a handful to hold.. warning a ton of napkins, maybe a box of wet wipes or even a bath towel will be needed. The juices mixed with the mayo and tomatoes will cause some deliciousness all over your hands and possibly running down your arm. The beast was hard to tame tho, I mean it was a big sandwich, stuffed to max! I ate about 2/3 before I gave up. I saved the rest for next day snack. If in the area give this place a try! read more

You will find Mexico Lindo in Etown near Peddlers Mall tucked away down an alley way between two buildings. Location is a little sketchy, but the food is amazing. I had the Tacos Carne Asada (No big surprise if you know me). I had a work colleague with me so we took orders to go. When I opened the bag, it was like Christmas. The green and red sauces provided, were on point. Careful, the red will bring a tear to the eyes and some forehead sweat. If you're having trouble breathing through your nose, grab a couple of their tacos and some red sauce and you'll be good after about 2 bites. This is an authentic restaurant, so expect huge flavor and good value. The tacos run $2.50 each and were full of the good stuff. They also have a grocery store where you can get some cool imported stuff. Try the Mexican Coke or Fresca in the glass bottles. If you are concerned with personal safety, take a buddy with you, or don't venture down there after dark based on location. Stay safe and Taco on my fellow yelpers. read more
