Trying this new place on a late lunch (1:30pm) place was a bit busy. Food was good. We we're seated right away. Plenty of options from the menu. Our first server was very knowledgeable and super friendly but not so much our second server-( I guess our first server went on break) she was too busy for us and we felt rushed to get us out of there! They also have agua fresca like Horchata, (mexican rice drink) and Jamaica (hibiscus)both drinks were delicious and refreshing. Dessert was good. The atmosphere was very authentic. New restaurant that offers a wide variety of Mexican food and drinks. The food is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is nice with a couple of TVs in there to watch sports and plenty of seating. Shared parking lot out front with other stuff in the strip. Good customer service as well. It's more than a taqueria, and is a good combination of Tex-Mex and some authentic Mexican cuisine. It's a smaller restaurant but bigger than the taqueria's (Papi's, Mexico Lindo, Juanito's) in Hardin county and not as "upscale" and pretentious as Tequila house which is a good thing. The staff if friendly and though it's small we've never had a probably getting a table. They have the usual Tex Mex entrees with combination plates, their chile relleno is probably the best I've had, and I suggest you get it ala carte since it's twice the size of what you get if with a combination plate. Their "street" tacos are good, offering a good selection of meats. The carne asada, al pastor and the lengua stood out and were well seasoned and tender. Wish they served the Al pastor with some grilled pineapples. If you're wanting more than tacos, tortas, burritos, Taqueria Azteca is a good choice for Tex-Mex. read more

I've been in here several times and have thoroughly enjoyed each time! Given that there's no shortage of Mexican restaurants in Etown, I do think this one has some unique offerings. I've gotten a bunch of chicken dishes, nachos, and tacos. All of these taken over the top by the amazing red and green sauces. The food is very high quality here. The staff is always very accommodating and sweet. The locale is very cute on the inside as well, with warm toned decor. Overall, very good place for when you're craving Mexican food. Utterly mediocre. You could go to almost any other Mexican restaurant in Etown and get a better experience. No bang for your buck, and the whole thing was just so forgettable. Go to Los Nopales or Mexico Lindo, those are my GOATs. I'd even recommend going to Mi Jalisco or El Tapatio. There were four of us. Everyone's beans and rice was cold. Chicken Chimichanga was cold. Chicken Enchiladas were cold and a Chicken Fajita Salad was not all that hot either. I had a Quesadilla Carbon and although the steak was hot the tortilla was not grilled enough and there was no cheese to speak of in it. Told someone but nothing was done about it. Friday night and the place was dead so there was no excuse for cold food. Won't be going back. read more

We recently visited for the first time a week or so ago. Initial impressions were quite favorable. Greeter/server was very pleasant and we were immediately seated (restaurant wasn't busy when we were there). The interior space is small but very clean and nicely decorated. They have an extensive menu with lots of choices as to food. I had the burrito, taco and rice. My wife had something similar but don't remember exactly what she had. Our only disappointment was with the food. It wasn't bad, but wasn't particularly good either--just very average and not as good as some of the other Mexican restaurants we visit in E'town. We probably won't come back, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try it. Could be the kitchen was just having a bad day when we visited. read more

WOW!! What a relief!!! Finally a really good place for scratching your Mexican food itch! Great service from kind smiling wait people. Really great job on the chef's vegetarian quesadillas and I enjoyed my carne quesadillas as well. Interesting and tasty shredded cabbage salad served alongside chips and salsa.
