Ok, this was the best Mexican Food I've had in quite a while. Not over cheesed or greasy. Very well prepared and the wait staff was terrific. I will definitely come here again when back in town. Fantastic authentic Mexican meal. The atmosphere is fun and lively with brightly colored tables and music. Granted we were very hungry but I can honestly say this is the best meal so far on day 10 of rambling around the great west. We dived right into the commentary perfectly crisp chips with salsa and spicy slaw which were absolutely delicious. My margarita was fantastic with just the right amount of tequila for a light buzz. My husbands bottle of beer was served alongside a frosted mug with salted rim that greatly enhanced the flavor of his fav Modelo. I had a veggie burrito stuffed with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onions and peppers covered in a very tasty verde sauce. Even the rice and beans which I generally consider filler were cooked to perfection. My husband the carnivore enjoyed the tacos el carbon which were cooked to order by desired doneness. This place was great! We ate here while visiting from Denver. We were vey impressed with the food and the service. The atmosphere is very comfortable. The salsa was delicious! We had white queso as an appetizer and it was so awesome. We had the enchiladas and the burrito picadillo, both tasted very authentic. read more

Excellent, albeit expensive, authentic Mexican food, regional around Mazatlan. Been eating here since it opened, both in GJ and Fruita locations. Very large portion sizes, can easily be shared. Good menudo on weekends. Carne asada tacos plate with beans and rice are affordable and excellent. I often get the eggs with chorizo sausage at the Fruita location after a ride on kokopelli trails. read more

I gave two stars because the service was good. Food was gross, every time I have tried to give this restaurant another chance, I just cant I always get sick. When our food came out it LITERALLY smelled like cow poop. Idk what the heck caused that smell but it was disgusting. read more

I've never felt the need to post a review until now..this place had a chance but the service was terrible. I even downloaded the yelp app just to let others now how UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE the management was. Plain and simple, what I was served wasn't what I ordered and I barely touched my plate. Each time the server went passed he seemed to realize I wasn't eating and would hurry by. Never once did he ask how the food was, even when he cleared my picked through plate. When my wife and I received the bill we realized that they charged me for a more expensive item and when I spoke with the "manager" he tried to tell me he should be charging more! No apology for the incorrect food and didn't say a word when we walked passed him as we left..couldn't have been more disappointed..especially since this was my wife and my last night staying in Palisade and had driven 25+ mins after finding this place on "YELP" read more
