Ordered a house medium sized Margie, totally forgettable, it's very large but left at least half of it as it was that bad. Chips and salsa is average. Shrimp Ceviche on a tostada was very good. My wife had the tortilla soup which real also real good. Service folks were great. read more

So I generally go to the location out by the mall off 6&50 but today I was on the east side of town and went to the North Ave location. NEVER AGAIN . Ordered the chile Colorado. Was asked if I wanted chicken nor beef, that should have been my question to leave but I stayed. I was then brought chile verde sent it back. Then I was brought what they claimed was chile Colorado nope it was not I left I squared my tab before leaving. Went to the mall location and got what I ordered. Food is good but prices have gotten outrageous!!! They changed their menu and their prices and I can't afford it anymore.

My husband and I went in to have a couple drinks before going over to spend time in the Mall shopping. We each ordered a Long Island Ice Tea which 'normally' contains 1.5 oz of alcohol, a combination of ( vodka, rum, gin, tequila & triple sec.) We only planned on having one drink each, but strangely enough we didn't feel as if we had even Had a drink. Silly us, we each ordered a tall Whiskey and water; which is 'normally' a shot of whiskey, in a tall glass with ice and water. We got our drinks and they looked right, and tasted okay, but we still had no effects from the drinks. The bill for the four drinks came to nearly $44. and because it was Christmas Eve we tipped him $10. When we were shopping we discussed the fact that we had just wasted $54. which was disappointing because we had visited that same lounge before and didn't have this experience. We won't be back. :( read more

I hope the owner reads this. The Margarita was..not good. We used to go here, sometimes twice a week, and always enjoyed the Margaritas as the best in town. The food is the average Mexican family restaurant style but Margarita recipe had changed by our last visit on 7/07/25. The drink now had a bitter undertone and after taste and actually made my wife sick later. Either they switched the lime mix or used extra cheap tequila but she didn't even finish hers which never happened. We may not be able to return. read more

I attended here for a nice dinner with my children. My oldest specifically asked exactly what had came on her dish, as she was confused. When her food came out, it came out with stuff on it that wasn't specifically listed when my daughter had asked. The waitress then got the manager, and the manager came out and asked my daughter if she had read the menu because "it was on the menu" and tried to blame my daughter for the waitresses mishap. Completely ignoring the fact that we had asked what had come on the dish. My other daughter had also asked for a side of sour cream, and never received it. Another go-to place in Grand Junction as the staff is always friendly and the food consistently tasty with fine margaritas that Ar the size of two in most restaurants. The Chile rellano crispy had a smaller pepper than is my preference but was still tasty. The cheese enchiladas were delicious. They have a large menu and I usually get something different every time and have not been disappointed. When you come here, you feel like you are with family. My husband and I had been warned the Mexican food scene in Colorado is pretty subpar, which made us excited to prove the naysayers wrong. Unfortunately Tequila's did not do this. The service was great, our waitress was quick and attentive. She always made sure our chips and salsa were full. But that was about where the positives ended. I got a blended mango margarita, which had already separated by the time it got to me and was pretty lacking of flavor. My husband got the chipotle enchiladas, topped with a chipotle nacho style cheese which honestly tasted like it could've been poured from a nacho cheese pump you find at a gas station. I got the golden burrito. In the description it only said "carnitas," and maybe this was my fault for assuming, but I thought there was no way they were going to serve a burrito with just meat in it. That's exactly what they did. Wrapped a bunch of carnitas in a tortilla, threw some salsa on top and called it good. Granted, they did serve it with rice and beans but I didn't want to unwrap the burrito to fill it myself. Carnitas is also pretty fatty and for that to be literally the only thing in the burrito, I was only able to eat about a third of it. The last thing I'll say is that I'm not one to find a hair in my food and throw a fit. As a female I understand how easily hairs fall out and disappear. However, I also work in the food industry and know how important it is to keep hair pulled back or under a hat to prevent it from falling in someone's food. I found not one, not two, but three hairs in my food. And I only ate part of my burrito. That's when my skin starts to crawl a little bit. read more

The top shelf margaritas are very good here and they come in large and jumbo so you can't go wrong. All their margs are made with fresh lime juice. The food is generally better than average for this area and very consistent. Service has always been good for me. The queso appetizer and the carne asada quesadilla are must tries, as are the daily specials. I especially love their cabbage salsa and regular salsa is on point. I have high expectations being from San Diego so this is my go to place in Grand Junction as they hit all the marks. read more

I loved the salsa and chips but everything else was pretty basic. Several people in my party got the fajitas and complained they had no flavoring. The kids enchilada my nephew got didn't even have the cheese melted. My Al pastor tacos were great but no one else really enjoyed their meal. First of all - don't use the Yelp map, at the time of this review its wrong. It's on north street. Dinner was good, we were greeted & seated quickly on thanksgiving eve. Immediately we were given chips, salsa and salad. Our server was very sweet, he bought our drinks really quickly and our food came out pretty fast too. Yum margaritas and heaps to choose from! Hubby got the burrito fajitas and I got the carnitas del something. Both were really good meals. I'm Not sure if the margaritas were 2 for 1 or if we just had a gorgeous server but I got offered a free margarita! And it was just as delicious as the first!! read more

I saw that the menu that was online was the lunch menu. Not the dinner and regular prices. So completely my bad. Myself and a friend went for early dinner, we were the only ones and when we were done, another person retrieved our credit cards. It took too long. I asked our waitress if she knew which card was which and she said no but preceded to run my friends credit card. Then why are you running it right now? She ended up charging my friends card for both orders...it was a mess. The female owner came over to run mine correctly and so I explained to her what the waitress did. Waitress didnt bother to just ask up what order goes to what card. I didnt raise my voice or have attitude or speak with a sharp tongue but the owner gave me attitude as if it was my fault. The owner even insulted me in Spanish thinking I didnt understand her. She slammed my receipt and pen and walked away. We were so nice with them cause they said they were bored but turned on us like dogs. We are not going there again. TEQUILAS off 6&50 is no better. Several co workers went there, spent alot of money and big tips but customer service became worse. Nobody from my company go there anymore. read more

I'll start by saying I have high expectations of Mexican food being from Texas. The food here was not the best and seemed a little old (not fresh). Honestly i'm really disappointed in this place. We got there at about 7:30 for dinner, they stuck us in the back corner and must have for forgotten about us. By the time we got our food it was 9 o'clock! Waiting an hour and a half for food was only the beginning though. The food itself is not that good. The beef was super greasy, the green chili had no flavor. Halfway through eating my meal, i noticed a hair in my food.
