Tacos were fantastic I had the chicken and the beef. There was a really tasty green sauce on the side you can pour on!

We arrived at 4:03 p.m. and left by 4:46 p.m. Our plan was to relax at the bar, enjoy happy hour margaritas, have appetizers, then dinner while watching the soccer match--a leisurely vacation evening. The hospitality, unfortunately, was lacking. Although our bartender wasn't rude, she seemed to be in a constant rush to get us to order, despite the restaurant being relatively quiet with only a few tables occupied. We even mentioned that we were hoping to enjoy a slow, relaxing evening, but we still felt hurried throughout our visit. The happy hour margaritas were very lime-forward with very little tequila. We switched to a regular menu margarita ("The Perfect"), but even that tasted weaker than expected. As tequila fans, we were disappointed. We also found the food to be far from authentic Tex-Mex. Having lived in San Antonio, I realize that's a high standard, but this didn't come close to what we expected. In the end, we asked for our food to go and left. We found another restaurant where we could relax and enjoy the kind of hospitality we had been looking for. I don't enjoy leaving critical reviews, but this was a disappointing experience, and unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

Unfortunately, it was nothing like what we expected, and the food was extremely disappointing. Then I found out the owner is Bolivian not even Argentinian. The chimichurri was red and had a very different taste than what we expected. The green hot sauce was basically like eating raw jalapeño--extremely overpowering. The mashed potatoes were watery and very salty, and the broccoli was literally sitting in so much water that almost half of the bowl was full of it. The rice tasted like microwave rice, and the French fries were just ordinary fries. The biggest disappointment was the meat. It was extremely fatty, chewy, and had almost no flavor. The chicken was overcooked and tasted like leftovers that had been reheated. For an Argentinian restaurant, the quality and preparation of the meat should be one of the highlights, but unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. Honestly, we could barely eat our food and ended up leaving most of it. What made the experience even worse was that, despite barely being able to eat the food, we were still charged half of the meal. The total bill was over $85, and that included $5 for a small cup of what tasted like microwave rice. Just in case the food looks half-empty in the pictures, we did put some of the food onto our plates to try it. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat it, so that's why some of the containers look partially empty. As someone who was genuinely looking forward to trying Argentinian food, this experience was incredibly disappointing. In my opinion, this restaurant does not represent the quality or flavors that people expect from Argentinian cuisine. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I would not return.

When those patrons left, while we were there, only one additional table was occupied. They aren't very busy even on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a mural, colorful string lights, and decorative pillows. There is limited parking in front of the restaurant. They also have patio seating. Our server was wonderful - friendly, attentive and helpful answering questions and accommodating my friend with requests for her food. Although I love the ambience and service, I have mixed reviews on the food. The beef empanadas and flan were delicious, however, my smoked brisket mashed potatoes and potato wedges were just average. Although our server said that the brisket is popular and highly recommended, I thought it was chewy, hard, and the barbecue sauce wasn't anything memorable. It didn't really stand out and I have definitely had better brisket at Mission BBQ. My friend or mofongo, brussel sprouts, and Ropa Vieja. She she said of the three, the Mofongo was her favorite and really good. She also liked the brussels sprouts. Final thoughts: beautiful ambience, great service, but mixed reviews on the food.

The Mexican food is exactly what I was looking for after moving from the West Coast. I had lost all hope of finding flavor, authenticity and wholesome Mexican food. Conveniently, there's a small market attached with all the fix ins from Guatemala, El Salvador and Mexico. I got my tortillas, queso fresco and snacks I'd been looking for since moving here. It's ground‑level from the parking lot, so no climbing Mount Everest just to get a taco. The parking lot is small, but they do have handicap spots, so points for accessibility. There are large menu screens everywhere, and if you've aged like a fine bottle of wine (or just drink a lot of it), you'll appreciate how big and easy to read they are. They also have a couple of handheld menus at the counter. Seating is minimal with metal tables and chairs, so if you're a diva, bring your donut cushion. I ordered the Carnitas and pork belly, both sold as sides. The pork belly sits under a warmer at the counter, daring you to stay committed to that Weight Watchers plan. It's sold by the pound, and my piece came to $4.80. I almost put it back, but I'm pretty sure there's an unwritten rule about not returning food you've already mentally claimed. Even the cashier said, "Oof, that's pricey," but listen I liked it, and I'd pay it again. The half‑pound Carnitas for $7.99 were delicious and worth every penny. My foodie partner ordered the fried chicken plate. Medium comes with fries; large comes with rice and salad. I tasted her large plate the seasoning was on point, the chicken leaned toward being a little dry, but not enough to stop me from wanting to shake those tail feathers. You order at the counter, they call your name, and voilà food in hand. Service was quick and easy and served with a smile. Overall, I'd definitely come back.

El Pulgacito is a small cozy spot this sits in the El Salvador settled neighborhood called "Chirilagua," after the city in El Salvador of the same name. Known for its authenticity you can't go wrong for some great Central American cuisine. The pupusa portions are massive compared to other places, if I'm hungry I can only eat two. You have been warned going on thinking you can knock down four lol. My favorites are the steak and pork. Their curtido is the best I've had as well that comes with the pupusas, and it's slightly mixed with warm salsa and it's just so good. My go to drink is the Tamarindo, I'm not sure if they make it in house, but it seems as if they do. If you are into tamarind drinks and flavor, it's a go to for sure. I just call it the Central American sweet tea lol. The only other dishes I've tried were the Lomo Saltado and the enchilada, although they were ok, I personally wouldn't get them again based on the taste, portion, and price point of the pupusas. The service is always nice and attentive. You can't go wrong here if you are in the area be sure to grab you a pupusa.
