I got some apple pumpkin cold brew with a splash of almond milk milk. It was mid. Service was good and ambiance was cute. Felt like I was inside a tin can! Was a cool location

I'm on a quest to hunt for the best coffee in Austin! This place was good but not necessarily anything to write home about. I had an event to go to on a Sunday morning and decided to look up coffee places near me, and the name really stood out. Google maps took me about a block and a half away from the actual location. I think they must have moved because there was a painted wall that also said El Tigre coffee roasters. When I finally arrived, I asked about their 3 different beans which I was surprised to find out that they only served their Brazil beans in house. The other 2 you would have to buy to be able to try. ‍ I ordered the Cold Brew. The best way I can put: It was good. The coffee has a subtle bright taste up front but mainly stayed more in the medium roast realm that wasn't too bright, bitter, or strong. Seemed to have good extraction but also felt it was a little weak on the end. I might come back if I'm in the area, but I'll probably keep searching at other places as well. Regardless, the name, merch, and coffee bags all looked amazing. I wish them nothing but success.

Came around 9:30 ish on a Wednesday, and was able to find a spot in their parking lot. There was only one barista available so I waited a less than 3 minutes to order but patience is a virtue and clearly could see they are doing their jobs. I ordered an iced latte with whole milk and flavor was nice. I took to go, but they do look like the offer WiFi.

I went on a Saturday afternoon and ordered a pistachio milk matcha latte with caramel syrup and an oat milk latte with rose syrup. The coffee latte was delicious and the rose syrup was appropriately subtle. I would've given El Tigre 5 stars but unfortunately my friend's matcha latte's taste was little off and not balanced well. I personally probably would've just drank it but she really didn't like it and asked for a different drink. The barista was very accommodating and kind enough to make her what I ordered since we really liked mine. They had outside picnic tables, some in the shade and some in the direct sunlight, best of both worlds! I'll be back but probably will be sticking to coffee drinks.

The service is very quick and the coffee is good. The staff is always friendly. It's a relaxing atmosphere and there's air-conditioning in the second room and inside the trailer They also have Wi-Fi

This was my first time trying El Tigre, and I was happily surprised! I've heard great things from friends so I knew I had to try it. The non-permanent and renovated airstream trailer was very cute and well furnished, and had cool air. The barista was very nice and helpful, so that always helps! And I decided on an iced caramel latte with whole milk, and it was perfectly sweet, the espresso had a prominent flavor and it was strong on the palette, and overall was refreshing in this heat! And the pastry was also very good!! I honestly can't wait to be back, I was delighted to find such a hidden gem!

Nestled in a cute food truck park, this place is a walk up and go kinda order but your coffee is out fast considering the long line. I may be the current Duke of this location, but there is still a lot for me to try. And dang, I really want one of those really nice tote bags. Before I discuss the coffee order I got this time. I wanted to shout out the customer service for being ridiculously amazing. Maybe it was because I got there super early and right when they opened, but this was the first time I did not see them super stressed and low-key freaking out. I usually walk away with my beverages, but this time I sat down. One of the baristas actually came out and checked on me to see how my drinks were. I found this to be super special. Okay, now onto the dirty chai that I ordered. I asked (when I asked about the floral notes that I was tasting) if they made their own chai in house and the woman told me that they in fact did. She also mentioned that I got the end of the house-made batch so what I was tasting might be different from a normal order. I thought this was quite interesting and this was another unique beverage, despite being a staple at many coffee shops. Would I order it again? Probably not but it was good! Also, with the Shoyu butterscotch, I would stick to the iced version. So thank you Desnudo for another great vibe and for making my one hour round-trip always worth it!

There was a long line that moved surprisingly quickly and had shade so well worth it. Service was super friendly and efficient with two registers open that helped move the line along and not a long wait for drinks despite the small truck they were operating out of. I was intrigued by the iced white miso matcha with orange blossom though after tasting it, I thought I ordered a regular matcha latte - I couldn't detect any white miso nor orange blossom. Since orange blossom can be overpowering, I did still appreciate that the matcha flavor was solid. It had sounded so unique though, I was hoping to taste the balanced flavors. That aside, it's better than most matcha lattes I've gotten elsewhere. The hot matcha latte was solid and I loved the hojicha latte as well.

The guava matcha, on the other hand, was incredible. Easily one of the best matchas I've ever had. The flavor was perfectly balanced, not too earthy, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness. Exactly how I like my matcha. Overall, such a fun spot to try creative drinks. I'd absolutely come back for the matcha alone! Note to self, my cousins ordered the white miso and they said it was a little too watery. Get it warm ask for ice on the side.

The concept of this is really interesting, but I think I saw it on TikTok so I kind of knew what to expect. Essentially it's two baristas working in a concrete slab. The culture is really odd and super Austin which I can appreciate because it is no longer in my opinion. I ordered The A hole latte with oat milk and it was decent but nothing spectacular. The barista told me that they ran out of cinnamon, but that is clearly not true by my photo. I was going to try the food, but I decided to skip it as I always judge a coffee shop on their coffee first. The reason for my tire rating is because of the wait time. From start to finish it only took about five minutes, which was incredible despite the fact that there were seven people in line. We chose half sweetness so it didn't feel drenched in maple syrup, which made it way more enjoyable for me. The cinnamon notes and subtle spice undertone came through nicely. Not exactly my go-to since I gravitate toward floral or fruit-forward drinks, but definitely fun to try at least once. Honey Lavender - LOVED this one. Everyone agreed it was very lavender, which only made me love it more. I chose whole milk and was surprised by how smooth and creamy it tasted. My only tiny complaint is that I didn't get much coffee flavor coming through, but if you're here for the lavender, this absolutely delivers. Coconut Macadamia Latte - this hit the spot. Perfectly coconut-y with just enough macadamia peeking through. I'll admit I have a sharp tongue for coconut flavors (hello, Thai curry), so this one immediately stood out to me. The sweetness level felt just right, and honestly, I'd pick this over Starbucks any day. Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin - one of the best things I ate in Austin. The texture deserves praise because it somehow managed to be firm without being dry, which I usually think goes hand in hand. Not here. It was moist, flavorful, and absolutely delicious while somehow also not being overly sweet. The cream cheese and pumpkin flavors came through beautifully without feeling sugary or heavy. If you stop by, this is a must-order. But honestly, the best part of this whole place? The service, the people, the atmosphere (especially the atmosphere!), and the flavors. There's something about the space that just makes you want to stay awhile. Also... did you know you can touch the bear's butt?!? Highly recommend. Delicious saltiness and cinnamon! I really enjoyed this. I tried the honey lavender latte which they said was the least sweet of their fort favorites. The lavender flavor was very forward and there was a hint of sweetness on the back of the tongue, so very accurate. I didn't get as much coffee flavor here so maybe double espresso if that's important to you. Friends also tried the seasonal coconut macadamia latte (they said it was nice, like a sweet nutty flavor). Really solid coffee spot with great vibes, I'd come back.
