Service was wack...the server hardly spoke English and had no concern about my order being wrong..and charged to substitute bean instead of rice..and the beans had cheese so I asked for them without..she takes the whole plate and returns it 10mins later with black beans that looked smashed and the dish was cold..I didn't even eat it but payed the tab and left. My family and I ended up at this restaurant after getting put on a 45-minute waiting list at Applebee's down the street. When we pulled up, the parking lot was surprisingly empty for a Friday night. My boyfriend and I looked at each other like, "Are we sure?" BOY OH BOY! This place DID NOT disappoint. Ambiance: Plenty of parking available as this restaurant is in like a plaza area. From the outside, you can't really see inside. When we got inside, it was not busy at all. Only 4 tables were occupied. We sat ourselves. The restaurant seemed clean. Decor was a little mediocre, but hey, I didn't go there for that anyway. Service: I hate I didn't get our waitress name. She was very friendly and prompt, and we even had a few laughs. Any questions we had she answered with no issues. Honestly, when I go back, ya, I'm looking for that same server. Food: Chips and salsa came out first like usual. Chips were nice and thin. I love spicy salsa. This salsa was not spicy to me but had a very good flavor. I actually got somewhat full just eating the chips and salsa. I ordered the 4 meat fajitas with the normal sides (flour tortilla, rice, refried beans, cheese, salad, and guacamole, which was FREE). The plate came out sizzling. I actually heard it coming before it got to my table. OMG, the BEST fajita I've had. The meat was PERFECTLY cooked, especially the Chorizo. Even the onions were tasty. Nothing was burnt or even slightly. My boyfriend ordered a half order of beef nachos. After he finished, he still had some left over. I tried it, and it was also very good. My baby just had her normal shrimp and fries. Drinks: Now, the last Mexican restaurant I went to, I was disappointed by the drinks. So this time, we see they had pitchers also. So before ordering, I had to ask and make sure how their pitcher looked. The waitress explained it TO THE TEA! Their pitcher is a pitcher. It was big enough to have 3 drinks a piece. Flavor was GREAT. We had a Texas margarita. After the first glass, I was like, "OKAY, ON POINT" Overall: This has just become my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Douglasville area. Just go and give them a chance. Oh ya, I definitely had food to bring home and eat the next day. I WILL BE BACK!!!! oh, and the price, AMAZING! For everything we had, we paid $54

Gio Special with shredded chicken and grilled onions

This is a family friend restaurant that also serves nice drinks. Impressive service with courteous and happy staff. If you eat here more than twice they will remember you. The food is delicious and can be customized for you. I get the Gio Special modified which is rice, shredded chicken, queso, and grilled onions. It makes me smile.

Torta and cheese dip (chicken steak shrimp)

Torta meal with chicken/steak/shrimp cheese dip. The food was awesome and liz was so sweet and kind. Thank you (Also their homemade sauce was soooo goood and the spice was top notch amazing).

We were out looking for some great food and wonderful experience. We walked in on a Friday evening and it was not crowded. We were seated and I am one for looking around to see what I can find. See the other patrons and how they are being services and also to see if there are any specials that they have posted somewhere. The server came to our table in a reasonable amount of time, gave us our menus and asked if we wanted drinks. Well of course we do. We reviewed the menu and then make some selections and it came out hot and fresh. From Mexican restaurant to Mexican restaurant, you can count of chips and salsa which if you are not paying attention, you can get full off of it. We were satisfied with our orders and had food to take home which is what you can usually find if you are almost getting your fill on chips/salsa and drinks:) I am willing to come back to see if we will receive better service on a Saturday night. The decor is not spectacular, it is kind of dark in the restaurant and could use some light but I can get past that. The staff can be a bit more welcoming but that is a matter of opinion I guess.

The steak and shrimp were quite tasty. We received a good portion of rice, frijoles, and salad as well. Chips were thin the way we like them. And salsa had good flavor. The waitress was attentive to our needs. I enjoyed the music in Spanish as well. We ordered and devoured the delicious flan.

I ordered a pablano Chile relleno and this was their close version. Delicious!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The facility outside is not very handicap friendly. The salsa was nice...could taste the cilantro! The salsa verde was very spicy, but do delicious. I would recommend this restaurant highly.

When it comes to mexican restaurants, for the most part, no matter what name is on the outside, they all taste like a franchise joint to me: food taste similar if not the exact same. They do have specials which seems cheap and easily accessible, but I have not tried it. The decor is ok, like any other generic mexican joints. The staff was ok, the experience was ok, so all in all, a-ok.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Douglasville, Ga! The margaritas are always good and the special prices are even better! The salsa and chips are delicious and can get you full lol so slow down. The food is very fulfilling and always fresh and so tasty. Everything is well seasoned. I'm currently on my way to pick up some beef tacos on taco Tuesday! Go here you won't be disappointed! read more

Mediocre food. I had a combination special. It wasnt very flavorful. The people with me felt the same way about their food....that it was ok. Server was new so i cant really complain about that. She made plenty of effort to keep things smooth. Propably wot eat here again tho. read more

I'm very disapointed with this place, as far as Mexican food goes this is the worst example of it. The Service was extremely bad, both male and female servers ignored my request for more tortillas and it took way too long for our drinks to get to the table. The food was too salty and the taste was awful not one person in our party had anything good to say after we left that place This place is an embarrasment to mexican food. The only reason i gave it a star is because i want someone to read this and most people skip over the no star ratings. read more

This is by far one of the worst Mexican restaurants in Douglasville. First off, the waiter seated us and took almost 15 minutes just to take our orders for drinks. Then we had to remind the waiter to bring our drinks. That's ridiculous! As far as the food goes, it's okay. My nephew got chorizo with sausage dish and the cheese tasted disgusting and like ranch. When we notified the waitress she seemed to not really care. We asked her to speak to the manager and she told us the manager wasnt even there. No one even offered us an apology. They just have bad customer service. read more

Very pleased, service was very good. Food was tasty. I had enchiladas with beans and a taco, the taco was not flavorful but the enchiladas were terrific. My boyfriend had the steak burrito, it was super good and that cheese sauce on it was the kind you want to lick the plate. Chips thin, crispy and warm. Been here twice now and this last time I had an amazing Quesadilla filled with meat and shrimp. Service is friendly and fast. Lobe the complimentary chips and salsa. Full service bar as well. If I could give this zero stars I would. This place was so bland. The salsa and the queso were so bland we asked for chopped, pickled jalepenos to spice things up enough to make them edible. I can't remember what I ordered it was that bad and we will not be back. read more

Worst experience. The server ditched us. Then the next guy tried really hard but it just didn't work out. 2 tables AFTER us got their food before us & then when the food came it was wrong. Unless you are just drinking (cheap) don't waste your time. read more

Horrible customer service. I wanted a taco salad with steak, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and raw onions and that's not what I got. They served me what they wanted to serve me. They told me that they didn't have raw onions but could give me grilled onions. I asked to speak to the manager and a Mexican girl with a blonde pony tail came out and said there was no manager there tonight and she could do what a manager could do but she had a very bad attitude. I asked my waitress is the manager here or not and magically the owner comes out and has a attitude as well and come to find out they did have raw onions. First and last time I will visit. read more

The restaurant was pretty busy when we picked up but just as easy as ordering was. The menu is extensive and detailed, with traditional Mexican dishes and some twists. We kept it really simple, opting for chicken + steak tacos, a chicken tostada, guac and the Pollo loco. The guac was chunky and portioned well, but could have used just a tadddd more salt. There were 3 different sauces included and they kicked it back up a notch. The tostada was delicioussss! The tortilla and lettuce provided the perfect crunch with the flavorful chicken - delicious. My bf enjoyed the tacos, maybe not life-changing, but they were enjoyed. I didn't eat the pollo loco until the next day and it was tasty. Super basic dish, no frills, but for whatever reason, the idea of chicken, cheese and rice appealed to me when I was ordering, lol. A solid experience over all, I will definitely be going back!

Despite the busy brunch crowd, the atmosphere and service was great, and we had no trouble finding street parking nearby. I called to verify if the pricing I saw on the ad was still relevant since the price was kind of low and the person who answered was so friendly and confirmed that it was a special they offer daily. The Douglasville location is in the plaza with Bruster's Ice Cream & Golden Krust. I honestly never noticed it when driving by the area, but you cannot miss it if you pull into the shared lot. Parking is a little bit tricky with the one way and smaller shared space, but we were able to find a spot. They have a large chicken (see picture) right outside. The inside was clean with a few chairs and tables to dine in. They recently remodeled and I believe they are under new management. Their restroom was clean. The cashier who took my order matched the voice I heard when I called in and he was just as friendly when we were placing our order. There was an overwhelming amount of options to choose from even down to side items, (i.e. fries, wedges, curly fries, etc.), and the cashier was helpful with suggestions so we could narrow it down. I also noticed they have chicken and waffles on the menu. I opted for the teriyaki wings with lemon pepper sprinkles with potato wedges and my son decided to order a chicken sandwich (tossed in a hot sauce) with curly fries and jalepeno ranch. Our combos included a can soda and my wing order included celery, carrots and ranch. Our food came out hot and fresh. My son loved his spicy sandwich & raved about it for weeks after our visit. The teriyaki wings had the perfect amount of sauce and lemon pepper. They were hands down some of the best teriyaki wings I've tried. The flavor truly shined through with a good level of soy sauce and sweetness and they did not overdo the lemon pepper either. They even reheated well the next day in the air fryer. Overall, I loved the experience and the food. Probably the best wings in the area and for a great price too. I would recommend giving them a try if you're in the area.
