I've been here a few times and I think it's time a write a review. The food is tasty and feels authentic. Always a pleasant vibe, like folks genuinely want to be here. The service is usually good, but the younger servers leave a lot to be desired. I drive 35 minutes to get here, passing many Mexican spots along the way and I don't ever regret coming here. I wish the burrito were better though. This last one I had, the cheese steak one could have been top tier if the cheese was both inside and out. The steak was dry and could have used some cheese. I couldn't finish it. The pico de gallo is so fresh and delicious. The guac always needs more lime and salt and then they charge you $1 for more limes to make it taste like something. I'm going to start bringing my own hot sauce and limes at this rate. Overall, I'm sold on Taqueria Jalisco. It's worth the drive. read more

I just wanted to express how disappointed I am at this location. My husband and I love this place. We always use to go here until we saw chapel hill had one. Anyways, my husband and I came by for a quick bite before the airport. We chose you guys over the Philly place but honestly now I regret it! The service was horrible!!!! Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Price was good. Food was tasty. We got all street style tacos (corn tortilla but not hard shell corn). The best was the chorizo and steak combination taco. Taqueria Jalisco is still as delicious as it was when I started eating there there four years ago. They are currently offering dine in service, but I ordered takeout because I feel more comfortable eating at home, since the pandemic. We visited twice this month and ordered the large nachos supreme both times. The smaller size is big enough to share with another person, but the larger one stretches to serve three to four which is ideal for my family. I love their homemade salsa so much that I order an extra pint on the side (it's only $1.25). I recommend calling your order in 10 - 15 minutes beforehand because it will be ready for pickup when you get there, which I love. Some restaurants do not start your order until you get there, even when you call ahead (and I can understand why because sometimes people don't come pick up the food), but I love that Taqueria Jalisco saves me time by preparing it after my order is placed. I went for dinner and lunch this month on two different days and my order was ready for pickup when I arrived 15 minutes later. I highly recommend it if you love delicious authentic Mexican food. read more

The staff is somewhat attentive yet not consistent with long-term servers overall. Their chips and dips (salsa, guacamole, and cheese) are tasty and fresh- far better than most in the area. I especially enjoy their Salmon Jalisco. Again, their variety of food is far superior to most Mexican restaurants to their local competitors. They have healthy selections that others do not offer. I usually love Taqueria but on today 11/10/2023. I ordered fajitas for takeout got all the way home and flour tortillas weren't in the bag. Called to speak with a manager all he could say was I could come back and they would give them to me and they only have 3 cooks. Nothing for my inconvenience. So he jus says he can make them over. I go all the way back again nothing for my inconvenience. Only to get home and I have corn tortillas. Management needs to be trained on being courteous to customers when it's the restaurants mistake. I should have been refunded my money cuz I had to use my gas and come back in 5 o clock traffic. When I called back he still was not remorseful for messing up my food. Taqueria do better. This Mexican restaurant is located in the strip mall close to Krogers grocery store. You can't see much from the parking lot except their sign and dark windows, however there is plenty of seats and booths. Chips and salsa arrive quickly in a glass container, allowing everyone to pour your serving into a private bowl for dipping the tortilla chips. I ordered the Supremo Burrito with shredded chicken. The food came out quickly on very hot plates. The Burrito was very savory, even better when the salsa is poured on top.
