My husband and I ordered the Burrito Grande and the Shrimp Fajita Quesadilla. Both absolutely amazing. This doesn't even begin to compare to what some reviewers suggested (Taco John's and Chipotle.) Way better ingredients and SO much flavor! Plus, we felt great after eating it, which is definitely a plus for a 15hr drive. This is some of the best Mexican food we've had around the country. Definitely an unexpected level of quality for us on this drive and we were so pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend and will most certainly stop over again on our next cross-country trip! read more

I went here and had Carne asada. The great thing about C.A. is that you can eat it like a steak, tacos, fajitas, put it on chips, etc. You can do anything you want. It's very versatile and tasty. Can't decide? Get C.A. and have it all! Sure you can do that with fajitas. But I didn't get that. Anyhow the food was good, staff nice. Not to Regulars: Maybe cut back on the carbs. We love Mexican food and eat it on average 2-3 times per week. We travel often and try Mexican food at every destination and often along the way. El Torito was a place we tried on our way to Nashville from Missouri. It was so amazing that we planned our trip back so we could get it again on the way home. Let me tell you, it was just as amazing on the way home. The margaritas are fantastic as well. (We even placed an order to go so we could eat it the next day.) This is the best Mexican place we have tried this far in any state we have traveled in and we have been in 48 states. The locals are truly fortunate. Muchas Gracias! read more

This wasn't you're typical El Torito the chain across US. So Much Better! The chips were thin and fresh- warm and refilled with more warm ones without asking. The salsa was tasty and not the typical salsa - it was so good. We had Fajitas- streak and shrimp It was so flavorful, very generous. Had jalapeños cooked Into With the onions and peppers- so was a bit hotter - but not too much. Our frozen Strawberry Margarita was very good blend. Best Mexican Restaurant in Paducah! My husband and I love this place. We eat here at least once a week. The staff is very friendly, the service is great, the place is clean, and the food is great. My personal favorite are the street tacos they are sooo good! You have to get them with corn tortillas. They are pretty similar to Chicago tacos. My husband and son love the molcajete. It is a large portion of steak, chicken and shrimp along with veggies. Oh and the Margaritas on the rocks are beyond amazing!!!! We almost always order a half pitcher or a pitcher. Based on the solid 5 star reviews, we stopped in here on our way through Paducah from Nashville. Our first impression was that the dining room was super clean and service was friendly and attentive. It was still fairly busy for a late lunch and it's clearly a popular local spot. I ordered a steak burrito plate and my wife had the chicken fajitas while my son enjoyed a plate of chicken tenders. The burritos and fajitas were good. I can't say it was 5-star food or that I've never had better Mexican food, but it was good and the service was great. I would consider visiting El Torito again. Worst "Mexican" food I've ever gotten. Not sure what I expected in KY but seriously?! Do the people who work here eat this garbage? I doubt it considering it isn't authentic at all. Not to mention we ordered a pitcher of margarita and couldn't even drink it. It was just Tampico from what I could tell. No alcohol for 25$, so also a rip off! Well first of all..we pulled up and my 3 year old nephew said, "wow, that's an aaaangry cow!" So we knew it was going to be a great experience lol. The food was SERIOUSLY delicious. I tried pretty much everyone's food and I would order anything again. I got fajita fries and OMG. Amazing. The street tacos with chorizo were spicy but definitely tasty. Queso and salsa were both great, too! The most impressive part of the trip was the the service. Absolutely fantastic. We never had empty cups, our food was so fast, and he did not even roll his eyes when my nephew dropped his little motorcycle in the salsa lol. I'm from SoCal and I didn't enjoy this place at all. I thought it might be part of the El Torito chain from back home but based off the food I don't think so lol I just really didn't enjoy what I ate, and there are way better and more authentic joints in Paducah I'd rather eat at. I think this restaurant caters to their audience, which isn't bad for business at all! But it left this Chicana feeling disappointed because I was told by several non Latinos that it was some of the best mexican food around, but it most definitely is not. Don't trust the reviews saying this is the most authentic Mexican food around, it's more like a few steps up from Taco Bell. Like a fancy Taco Johns lol read more

I was in Paducah, KY for a long weekend visiting family and on the hunt for a dinner spot. When I saw that this place had fifty 5-star reviews I KNEW I HAD to try it!! After trying it myself, I have to add my own 5-star review. It just just THAT GOOD! First off- adjustments for COVID-19. It looks like they were doing a pretty steady take away business and according to the locals were one of the first restaurants to do takeaway cocktails. We elected to eat at the restaurant and were pleased to find that they were seating guests at every other table. Face coverings are required unless you are seated. Onto the good stuff- we were immediately served with water, chips, and salsa. We got a pitcher of the house margaritas for $16 and WERE NOT disappointed. We got a mix of frozen and on the rocks (I didn't even know that was a thing!). We both also got the fiesta fajitas per recommendation from the waiter and the meal DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The fajitas came out sizzling just the way I like them. The serving of rice & beans was hearty and the guac salad served with it was delicious. I appreciate the option to swap flour tortillas for corn tortillas thanks to a gluten intolerance. Next time we visit- we will likely go back :) I would add pictures of what I had but I ate it too fast... ;) read more
