Tables and fall decorations in the quaint courtyard next to the sidewalk.

Downtown Paducah is very cool! This Mexican restaurant is spotless and charming! We just had a beer and chips and salsa in the courtyard next to a fabulous fountain. Such a great place to relax and sit outside enjoying a cold one! Service was gracious and friendly!

Magnificent meal! Quick outdoor seating on a beautiful evening. Chips and salsa are great, food hot and fresh, and helpful and prompt service. I really liked Mi Favorita, very tasty and filling meal. The atmosphere was really good, a nice outdoor fountain and fans were welcoming and comfortable. Very much enjoyed and would recommend

This place has the sweetest servers and bartenders ever! Hands down. At least in Kentucky. Their frozen house margarita was on special so, of course, I had to try it. I enjoyed! Not too sweet and not too tart. Perfect combo of Mexico vibes! I got the Chicken Cubano that the bartender suggested and it was divine! The flavors spicy but not burn-your-mouth-now-I-can't-taste-anything spicy, with a ton of roasted, thinly sliced, well-seasoned chicken over a bed of fluffy Spanish rice. Served also with refried beans. Smothered in just the right amount of their cheesy crema sauce. Fa-get-abah-dit! Stupid good. I should have stopped after 1/2 I was full, (even though I dis not even eat chips and salsa!), but could not turn myself away. I know, huge oink, but stop there when in Paducah, try it and tell me whether you can finish it. But also, you'll wanna thank me too. Tell 'em NOLA Jenn sent ya!

    House specials! Chimichanga

This restaurant is at 119 market house square Paducah, KY 42001 a different address than what's listed on yelp! My wife and I ate at their outdoor patio area which is very appealing and well kept. Their food and service on the other hand is mediocre at best. After being seated, it took the waitress a long time to bring out a couple of waters when there were about 4 other customers seated inside at the same table. Felt like they forgot about us being seated outside. When we asked the waitress about food being made in house she replied "no, it's too time consuming". Apparently the food here is frozen and prepackaged. I ordered the beef chimichanga plate which their online menu states "we stuff a flower tortilla with your choice of chunks of beef or chicken, then deep-fry it to a golden brown". The chimichanga is NOT deep fried and there are NO chunks of beef only a gross low grade ground beef. The chimichanga looked and tasted like it had been put in the microwave. Stay away from the food here!!!! Taco Bell does it better!!!

I got my nugget quite quickly although i wasnt given ketchup it took quite a while to get it. The chicken was alright with ketchup but alot better without ketchup. The fries were better with ketchup than without ketchup but it is usually like that Also as a short male 5'2" these chairs were quite low so eating was a struggle

The best place to go, if you're searching for south of the border fare. This Mexican food is tops and I've tried many other places.

I'll give them 4.75 stars, but they did fantastic so I'll round up for this place. First, we walk in the door and Zack walked past and complimented the boss on her snazzy shirt and a few other staff were friendly too so the vibe was nice to start off. We were then led to our table to discover Zack is our server for the night. Another compliment on the bosses glasses, okay she did look great - Thanks Zack! Drinks come out super fast and we get our food ordered. Zack was great helping with Alpha Gal and later following up with the kitchen staff that they had in fact not put butter on my fish - another win. I ordered the red fish special (I think) with a baked potato and the boss got the Harris Platter. Zack recommended blackened and was so right, delicious! I tried her fired catfish and that was delicious too, but would have dipped it in hot sauce, but the cocktail sauce was so yummy with a nice horseradish bite - delicious and maybe better than hot sauce (slander I know). That 0.25 off - well the hushpuppies were kinda gross and bland. This is the south so quality hushpuppies are a must. Ask for Zack, you will not be dissapointed.

Service was fast and very friendly. The tartar sauce was to die for we loved our crabcakes. I love…read moremy blackened catfish. I don't remember anything that I didn't like. Honestly, we will definitely be back and we definitely recommend thank y'all so much.

Still, it's never enjoyable to recount an experience that falls short at every turn--especially when the failures were preventable. My visit to Stella's, regrettably, was exactly that. From the start, it was clear that the staff lacked even a foundational understanding of Celiac disease. Questions about gluten safety were met with visible uncertainty and no real assurance that the kitchen could confidently prepare a safe meal. That uncertainty became reality when my entrée -- a steak and baked potato -- arrived with gluten on the plate. Not near it. Not questionable cross-contact. On the plate. Naturally, it had to be sent back. This misstep kicked off a cascade of delays that stretched my wait time to nearly an hour, even though we were among the very first guests seated at 5:00 p.m. Meanwhile, my dining companion's meal arrived correctly and on time. I insisted they eat, because by the time my corrected meal showed up, theirs would have gone stone cold if they had waited out of courtesy. The absurdity didn't stop there. The to‑go order I placed after we were seated--intended for someone else--was finished before my actual in‑house entrée ever arrived. Even the wine I ordered to accompany the steak made its way to the table long after the pairing was relevant, arriving more like a begrudging afterthought than part of a well-paced dining experience. When the final bill reached $250, it underscored the frustration even more. At that price point, diners are not paying for mediocrity. They are paying for competence, safety, professionalism, and a level of service that respects their time and their dietary needs. It is not unreasonable to expect top‑notch service when the tab climbs that high. And this incident is not isolated. Increasingly, restaurants in Paducah that position themselves as "quality dining" are missing the mark on training, pacing, and basic hospitality. Yet, as a community, we lack a consistent or constructive way to hold establishments accountable or to encourage them to maintain standards worthy of the prices they charge. If we hope to preserve both the integrity of our dining scene and the value of our wallets, we need better mechanisms for clear, honest critique -- and for restaurants to listen. Stella's, on this visit, offered little more than disappointment and a glaring reminder that good intentions are no substitute for proper training, coordination, and care.
