How many Craft beers are on tap here? None... not one. How many bottled? None.... not one IPA. Not even an 805. There are more authentic Mexican Bars out here to choose from, with cheaper better food, and a huge selection of beers. Why go to a commercial chain with a limited beer selection when you can go to a place like "Roca Del Mar" in Lancaster? When you guys decide to get with 2017 and stock some decent beer I'll come back. I understand this is Mexican food, Pacifico, Dos Equis and Corona are a must. I am glad this restaurant is open during the coronavirus. The cocktails were very good. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and Spanish rice, 2 small shrimp tacos came with it. I really enjoyed the shrimp wrapped in bacon. This meal was about $ 20.00. My son wanted the all you can eat tacos but this is only served on Wednesdays. My son ordered two of the mini tacos. He was disappointed with that dish. He said, the tacos were nasty. We visited again on Sunday and was told, it would be a one hour wait. I didn't understand that because there is a outside tent they have in addition to some tables outside. The tenant was practically empty. It was about two people there. Came at 11 when they said they open at 11 and the door was deadbolted with a chain. So I called them and a very unfriendly woman answered the phone. I asked her what time they open and she said 11. So I let her know that the door was chained shut and she said the manager could only open it and she couldn't. So I asked if the manager was there or were we waiting on them to get there? And she said the manger was in their office and there was nothing I could do so come 11:10 someone decided to open the doors. One of our family favorites at home in Palmdale. They have great week day deals that differ form Monday through Friday. We love the endless enchiladas on Wednesday. We love returning for the delicious food, that even tho is a large Mexican food chain, the food isn't too gringonized. If you have a large family you'll love the family size fajita platter, its a great value for the amount of food and always delicious. I actually really like El Torito as I've been coming here since childhood to order the same dish - sour cream enchiladas. It is nice knowing they will always taste as I imagine them from many years ago. The food is not quite traditional, but builds off traditional Mexican dish concepts. Also really enjoy their deep fried ice cream which is hard to come by. They have a very neat Sunday brunch buffet, or at least I've been to one (not sure if it was a special occasion) and this is definitely worth coming to as they offer a variety of dishes in traditional mexican dishware. read more

This was my favorite Mexican restaurant growing up. We only went there for special ocasiones. Once I got older I realized that the better Mexican food usually came from smaller non-chain restaurants. With that said, El Torito is still very good. I made my special order with all of the listed veggies removed. The runner brought out my plate with a different set of veggies. I worked around it and the portion was a little on the small side but the meat was very good. Before I signed my receipt, I mentioned to the server what happened and she said that she noticed it too explaining that the cooks felt that it just looked naked on the plate. That's kind of what I was shooting for but I'd like to think that they were taking pride in their work and thinking of the product that they were putting out. This is a known fact because once you meet "Cat," as she hilariously wish for you to call her, no one else will do! Let me start off by stating that I meet many individuals in both my personal and professional life which allows for me to immediately pin-point the ones who shine amongst the rest. That's Cat for ya! She treated my fiancé and I with the utmost respect and dignity while tending to our every request while enjoying our night together. Cat was beyond quick to bring out our food, drinks, and asked over and over again if we needed anything. Cat smiled and made us laughed through the hour and was just so real! Cat was so personal with us and after speaking about favorite songs, zodiac signs and even things on the menu, she popped out with wonderful singing songs by Adele and other artists. It was so nice to be treated with such AMAZING care - not from someone of authority but someone just like you and I who is simply trying to make it in the world today. This waitress deserves to be around all kinds of people to make there days but she also deserves to have recognition for all that she does and all that she is, and will be... I used to come here to Taco Tuesday every Tuesday either before or after the movies. Usually before, to beat the dinner rush. Eva, the lady who runs the taco bar is AMAZING! She always has a laugh and a smile to share. She's super quick and efficient at the bar and keeps the line moving, which is awesome when it gets really congested (the bar area is small and usually packed). I'd stopped coming for awhile because the bar started getting packed on Tuesdays as early as 4 p.m., and if I was alone, it was hard to get a seat, lest I want to take up a whole table for just me, which I don't. However, I recently started coming again because the traffic has slowed in winter. I'm not pleased that the tacos are almost double the price that they used to be, but I'm glad they added a bar for accoutrements to go along with the tacos. Our drinks, appetizer, and food was brought out to us promptly. However, the reason I gave El Torito 3/5 stars was because the Lunch Burrito Special I ordered was not so special. I ordered the Burrito Special with carne barbacoa and it was not good at all. It was not disgusting, it was simply lacking in flavor and had no real substance. It was a wet burrito so i expected some sogginess, however, the moment I cut into it the insides just came running out. The presentation was not much better. This place is so uncoordinated. Do not come here especially with a large party. They are short staff and yet lie about the wait time and will seat you to just wait even more. We wait a total of 2 hours and walked out with no food. The servers are horrible and said " we cannot give you an estimated time" it was embarrassing to bring people here and not be served.
