I wanted to throw my husband a Nacho Libre-themed surprise party and wasn't sure which Mexican restaurant could provide enough room for my group while still capturing the festive atmosphere I had in mind for the theme. I called El Torito and asked if they could host my surprise dinner, whether they had space for 12-15 people, if we could reserve an area away from other guests, and if we could bring our own decorations for the tables. They were more than happy to accommodate all of it, and their servers were wonderful throughout the night. Everyone loved the food, and having the privacy of one of the back rooms made the whole evening feel even more special. My family, and especially my husband, had such a wonderful time. Came during a weekday during Happy Hour. They have parking in their lot. Got a seat at a table. Was told they don't serve Happy Hour at a seated table, but our waitress made an exception for us since we didn't know. It was hard to get service as our waitress was really busy. We ordered the Fresh Tableside Guacamole for $15, Street Corn for $4, Crispy Chicken Flautas for $8, Midori Melon Signature Margarita for $6, and Pomegranate Signature Margarita for $6. Was told the Horchata for around $5 was pretty good. We received complimentary chips and salsa and it was spicy, but good. The Fresh Tableside Guacamole was made fresh in front of us and was really good. They use the same chips for the salsa and guacamole. We were able to get multiple refills on the chips. The Street Corn was not good and was on the buttery side. The Crispy Chicken Flautas was really good with the sauces and came out hot and crispy. Both of the margaritas were weak, but we preferred the pomegranate over midori melon for flavor. They forgot our to go order and we had to go back to get it. Our waiter was either having a bad day or just had bad attitude, but his service left much to be desired We had to ask for refills and asked for basic items that should have been provided from the beginning- napkins and utensils. We stopped by El Torito around 3-4 PM during happy hour because we just wanted to relax, order a few appetizers, and enjoy some drinks. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow from the start. After being seated, we waited about 20 minutes without even receiving menus. During that time, we ordered two margaritas and four waters, but those also took about 20 minutes to arrive. Once we finally had our drinks, it took another 30 minutes before our server came back to take our food order. On top of that, we ordered the Parmesan chicken bites, and the portion was surprisingly small for the price. It definitely wasn't what we expected and left us disappointed. The restaurant wasn't busy enough to justify such long waits, and the lack of communication made the experience frustrating. We came in excited to enjoy happy hour, but the slow service and small appetizer portion really took away from the experience. Don't understand this never had nachos with enchilada sauce on top, the small fajita meal. It was OK, but you got four slices of a chicken breast and very small slices the same with the flat meat very very small maybe five pieces same of the bell pepper and about the same for the onion very little they gave me for tortillas, which were really thick and actually more than I could've used for what was on my plate. I love coming here! It's easily the best place to go for happy hour. If you're looking for what to order, the carne asada fries and mahi-mahi tacos are amazing, especially if you pair them with a margarita flight. The ambience is always so positive and upbeat--it's just a fun place to hang out. The best part is definitely the service. We eat at the bar or high-top tables so often that we've become regulars. I went in a few weeks to get a quick meal and a drink. So I went to the bar area...at first I was annoyed because happy hour had just ended and the tables were not cleaned for me to sit. The manager was running around doing other stuff. But then Rachel showed up. She was apologetic, friendly, funny and prompt. She cleaned the table right away, served me my drink and food with a great smile and a warm personality. She won me over and I got over my bad attitude quickly. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the service my friends and I received at El Torito on Monday, February 16th, around 4:00-4:30 PM. We were a party of three and were offered seating at the bar, which we accepted. After being seated, we were not provided menus and were not acknowledged by any server for approximately 10 minutes. Eventually, a server approached and brought us three cups of water. We asked her for menus, and when she returned, she placed them on the table in a dismissive and aggressive manner without saying a word. The interaction felt disrespectful and unwelcoming. As paying customers, we expect at minimum to be greeted and treated with courtesy. The experience made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and we ultimately decided to leave without ordering. I strongly encourage management to review the cameras from that time frame and address the situation appropriately. Service like this reflects poorly on the restaurant and will drive customers away. read more

I've been a regular customer here for over five years and have always supported this business, attended events, paid my tabs, and treated the staff respectfully. Unfortunately, my recent experience left a very negative impression. There have been several occasions where events were ended early or communication felt disorganized, but I continued giving this place the benefit of the doubt because I genuinely enjoyed coming here. Recently, a bartender forgot to charge me for part of my bill. The next day, I returned and was approached by management asking me to pay because their employee forgot to charge me. What made the situation frustrating was that when I had originally asked at the bar, I was told I didn't owe anything. I understand mistakes happen, but the way this situation was handled made me feel uncomfortable and undervalued as a longtime customer. I came to this location on Monday, May 18 shortly after 8:30 PM. Upon walking in, no visible hosts were present at the front door. To my left, which would be the dining room area, was closed off with wet floor signs blocking the section. However, the floor did not appear to be wet or recently mopped. I noticed a man standing at the host stand who looked visibly frustrated and was looking around. I also noticed two girls dressed in all black walking around in circles. A short young girl looked over toward the host stand but did not acknowledge or approach either myself or the man who had already been waiting. At the time, I was occupied taking pictures of my children as we came with the intention of celebrating my daughter's birthday. I would say about 10 minutes passed before the short young girl finally greeted the man waiting and myself. She simply said, "Hi," asked, "How many?" then stated, "Okay, they are cleaning a table, we will seat you shortly," in that exact order and in a very monotone manner. About 5 minutes later, the party of 3 was seated while my family and I continued to wait. As I looked into the bar area, I noticed many dirty tables. Some had cups on them while others simply needed to be wiped down. The busser appeared to be cleaning tables while also washing dishes. I could see through the kitchen toward what looked like the dish pit and watched him repeatedly going back and forth between the bar and kitchen. At that point, I got the host's attention and asked if they were short staffed or if they had just gotten through a dinner rush. I explained that I was simply making observations and asked if we would still be seated. She reassured me and said, "No, it's okay." She then asked if we wanted to sit on the patio, and I agreed. As we started walking through the bar toward the patio, I noticed several open tables inside that only needed to be wiped down. I then asked if we could sit in the bar instead. She said yes, but to allow some time for the table to be wiped. At this point, I was under the impression that she herself would be wiping down the tables. Instead, I noticed her walk to the very back of the dining room where she and the other host continued looking over in the direction where my family and I were standing. They appeared to be laughing, though I do not know at what specifically. Shortly after, one of the other hosts began pulling tables out from the section that was already cautioned off and started sweeping underneath them. I did not understand why they were cleaning an area that was closed off and not being used instead of helping clean and seat waiting guests. It also appeared that nobody was helping the busser or assisting with getting tables ready, while the hosts remained in the back talking. The short host eventually came back to the front and informed me that there were only two servers on staff. At that point, I was extremely upset. I asked for her name and questioned why they were focused on cleaning a closed section instead of seating guests in available areas. Her response came across as very condescending, and I genuinely felt as though she could not care less about the situation. Eventually, the manager came over and explained that she was "on break." On break. I found that very disappointing considering the staff clearly lacked direction and support during a busy time. Overall, the experience was extremely upsetting. My family and I ultimately left without eating and missed out on the dinner we had been anticipating for my daughter's birthday celebration. read more

Walking in I was surprised to see a salad bar set up for brunch. Champagne brunch. The Champagne looks like it's brought iced to your table in a nice little bucket. A stack of pancake, too. With fruit. Looks fluffy and good. The brunch, however, is the only option until 2pm. No menu orders. I was disappointed because of the brunch appearance and no off menu order, we decided to leave. The food seemed a bit dried out. Though the variety was fantastic. Nice presentation, but hard to see if they were all on warmers. Loved the meat and taco station with live people. Those looked good. The salad bar, however, scared me, and as a vegetarian, fresh items are important to me. The salad bar was set up in the entrance with the sad kids' buffet. It looked Luke warm, wilted, and like lots of people had stood around it. Having this in the entrance may be a miss. There is sunshine and traffic flow. This is not where I want to walk for my salad. From the beginning the woman at the counter was rushed and rude. The same person spilled beans on the table which went on the floor on the chair and on the empty table across from us. She never apologized. The worst part was the half hearted attempt to clean up the mess she made. The floor was still slick because it wasn't completely clean. We had to ask her again to clean up the mess. She left the chair with beans on it wiped the floor with paper towels. The manager or one of them as he said was also rude. I visited today, January ___, 2026, at approximately 6:11 PM and placed a to-go order for one Super Nachos and two tortilla soups. I was told the wait time would be about 30 minutes. After paying, I noticed that Sandy P. (to me it seems that she is the manager) looked at the receipt to check whether I had left a tip, which I did not, as this was a to-go order. I waited well past the estimated time. Around 7:00 PM, I went to the counter to ask about my order. The server assisting me had no knowledge of my order and went to check. My food had been sitting there, cold. When I asked why I had not been called, the server said she didn't know. At that point, Sandy passed by, and I asked her directly. Her response was, "Sorry, I got busy and forgot." I was told she may be the manager. This is very poor customer service. As a restaurant owner myself, I always remind my employees that service must be excellent with or without tips. Guests come to be served--not judged based on gratuity.
