The staff is friendly & attentive and the food is great! Everything is seasoned perfectly! My husband had the Molcajete (Hot Stone). It came with Marinated chicken breast, steak, shrimp and Mexican sausage with green onions, cactus leaf on Oaxaca cheese all over. It was delicious! I had chicken tacos, which I thought I would be disappointed with because there was only chicken in the taco. It was served with lettuce & tomatoes on the side and I requested a side of sour cream. Boy was I wrong! These tacos were so good! They were season perfectly and cooked perfectly! I'm already planning to go back. Me my children and my mother stopped past here. Let me say it was great! A few minutes after we sat down we got chips and salsa. We also order like some nachos with meat and that came out really quickly. The service was really fast and the food was good. I would love to come back alone for happy hour I'm sure they have nice drinks. It was really clean inside. Only issue is they don't have street corn yet but it's a great place! We had reservations and were seated right away. We ordered a jalepeño margarita pitcher. The margarita was good but the jalepeños didn't do their part. We ordered a fresh guacamole bowl, which was quite tasty and jalepeño poppers. Again the jalepeños lacked a hot or spicy taste. Our entrees, a chimichanga, chori pollo and carne asada were delicious. First off, your staff is extremely rude. I called ahead to ask if your location at annapolis was still open and was cut me off by saying "no, I'm located in riva road." And then hung up on. Secondly, when we arrive and sit to order with our server, my wife asked for a side of cheese to which our server did not respond. So when she Mentioned it again upon him bringing us our margarita, he said "yes, I already sent the order." Only to then turn around and say "this woman has asked me for her cheese for four times already geez." In Spanish, as if we didn't speak it. It's sad to see a restaurant go down hill as bad as it does. And when we mentioned to the server that that approach us rude, he merely waved us off and didn't bother giving us his name of the name of the manager. I do enjoy coming here. Just found it and went two days in a row. Alone and with the misses. Interesting décor and friendly staff. They have a decent bar as well . I've had the enchiladas Mexicano which is full of flavor. The chicken is well seasoned, the chili is mild and smooth. Could use a bit more heat. Served with lots of finely copped greens, guac, sour cream, etc. The refries are tasty, a bit overrefined, but wish they'd put more on the plate! The rice is tasty as well. The second meal was shrimp tacos with mango. The mango didn't really come through, but the overall flavor profile was pleasing. I'd recommend a mango salsa vice the mango in the crème. Enjoyed conversation with staff and look forward to visiting again. read more

We have been here several times and always have a good experience. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. We usually come for lunch and have had the same server a few times, he's very friendly and polite. Drinks were very subpar however the food was horrible.our bill was $300 for 3 pitchers of margaritas and 4 plates of tacos. I told the waiter he was very pleasant but the food was undesirable. Run Away! We tried this place (Riva Road) after a Navy football game. The parking lot was pretty full, so we assumed it must be a good place. I'm assuming most of those cars belonged to the staff making all the noise in the kitchen, but having little success getting tasty food prepared, in a matter that approximates what was ordered. Chicken enchiladas showed up minus the chicken. Request for no lettuce on the tacos resulted in what I would call extra lettuce. Tasteless, bland food. I started to have doubts about my life choices regarding the salsa for the chips. At best,it was calories. Service was pretty lousy too. But it sounded like a party going on in the kitchen. My wife and I have visited El Toro Bravo several times. They have an extensive menu selection and we have not been disappointed with their food. Their house Margaritas are big and excellent. This is a new location on Riva Road by rt 665 in the old French restaurant. They've painted the building and decorated the inside with Mexican themes. Unlike the original location there are no dinner combinations at this location for dinner which was a must for us. Since we went right when it opened we did notice they are still working the kinks out - we were given wet menus with salsa drippings on them that were replaced, the water glasses were the size for children which caused them to be refilled often, and the food was just okay. It was surprising to us since the food at the original location on West Street is very good and a little cheaper. We will most likely not return since there are so many better options nearby. Maybe they will improve the service and food as time goes on? read more
