Mothers is great for watching sports- tons of tv's all around the bar and restaurant area! They have live music too which is great and their wings are amazing. Recently went there for happy hour and got $5 beers and $10 Buffalo dip! They have a great happy hour on Monday's which is all day 11:30-6:30!

I've been to the other Mother's location in Timonium so I knew that the food would not disappoint. I met up at this location with a friend for restaurant week. Location was easy to find and there was lots of parking available on the lot. We were greeted and seated quickly and service was really fast and friendly. The menu for restaurant week was full of great options and you couldn't beat the price of $35 for a 3 course meal. In addition, we did purchase an additional app which was the loaded cauli-sprouts. They were outstandingly good! The soups were good. I favored the crab of crab over the Maryland crab soup. I ordered the braised short rib. The short rib... tendernism!! I have not complaints. The mashed potatoes were so good also. My friend had the Peppercorn ribeye. The cook on the steak was a perfect medium but the steak itself had an overwhelming burnt taste and the Peppercorn sauce didn't help. The chocolate lava cake and ice cream was a great finish to my meal. The cake was very warm and gooey. Overall, the experience was solid.

I ordered a Southwest Caesar salad, which has always been my go-to order when I want a salad from this area. There were exactly 3 cherry tomatoes and a SMATTERING of beans and tortilla strips. It was VERY underwhelming, especially at a price tag of $19!

    Prime Rib

Stopped by on a Thursday evening and if you are a "regular" here, you know what night it is! I, on the other hand am not a regular so I was surprised that it is Prime Rib Night! I was very excited to try their prime rib. This isn't my first time here but it is a bit further than I would like to drive for dinner but for whatever reason, I did and I have no regrets. My server, Amber, a very sweet young lady took care of us, personable and funny. I enjoyed speaking with her about their live music later that night and other promotions that are at Mother's. My prime rib came out and it was so tender, hot, juicy, flavorful...I hared it! I hated that it was gone in no time I look forward to returning on another Thursday night for Prime Rib Night and I will get here earlier as they do sell out.

Americana smashed with thick cut fries for the win on a beautiful end of March day. Was craving a good burger that was not a fast food option. Mother's always delivers win great food at or near the same price as a fast food option. Why eat at a McBurger joint and get cold food for pennies less than a fresh made meal out at a local place. The service is always pleasant and today they have a beautiful acoustic band playing great classics.

I called to place the order, and the guy couldn't hear me. When I called back, there was silence on the line until I said "hello" a few times, followed by a blunt "Yeah, what can I do for you?" slightly off-putting, but I placed the order. When I arrived, the place was empty and looked clean. The food was ready, and I was in and out quickly. As for the food: The Fries: These were excellent. They were hot, well-seasoned, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. I really enjoyed them. The Burger: This was the letdown. I got the Black & Bleu, and while the toppings (bleu cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, brioche bun) were fresh and tasty, the meat itself was lackluster. They looked like two smash patties, but they had zero crust and absolutely no seasoning. No salt, no pepper, nothing. Honestly, if it weren't for the toppings, the burger would have been hard to eat because the meat was just plain and bland. I ate it because I was hungry, but for a "Pub and Ale House," the burger really needs to be seasoned properly. Between the awkward service and the flavorless patties, I can only give it 2 stars.

West End Grill, Naptown -- Unforgiven Edition…read more It's a hell of a thing, killing a plate of green beans. West End happy hour. Adam behind the bar slinging John Dalys for $6.75 like Little Bill forgot to outlaw liquor in Big Whiskey. Then dinner rode into town. Chicken Cordon Bleu: 4.5/5. Moist as hell, ham and cheese doing exactly what God and France intended. Only crime? Needed more sauce. Not enough to hang the cook, but enough to knock half a star off the bounty. Then came the risotto. I believe it was forged somewhere beneath the earth's crust. One million degrees. Molten fucking steel. I tried to approach it. It threatened my family. No rating. By the time that thing reaches an edible temperature, Clint Eastwood will be smiling in a movie. But those slow-cooked green beans? Jesus. Sweet onions, what tasted like some ham-hock sorcery, cooked down until everything knew everybody else's name. I hit them with a dash of Tabasco and suddenly we weren't eating a side anymore. We were settling a score. Top-five green beans I've ever eaten. And understand something: I come from the South. Green beans aren't vegetables down there. They're a competitive sport. I ordered a second damn bowl. Adam kept the John Dalys coming, the happy-hour price stayed ridiculous, and when I asked his favorite movie? Unforgiven. Well, Adam... "Deserve's got nothing to do with it." Except tonight it does. Those green beans deserve five stars, a second order, and their own goddamn horse. Fork around and find out, Naptown.
