I cannot remember how I've had food from here before. But apparently I've done a taco Tuesday from here... to-go... at least my Yelp pics say so. We planned to take his boat and eat on the water but I was tired from playing golf. I asked for good comfort food that didn't require the water ride. Since I'm Latina the honey said he knew of a place but closer to my home. It was an easy YES, let's take the drive honey! Service was good! Luckily it wasn't packed. Parking was easy! Mi Casita: By far, the worst Mexican Restaurant I've ever been to. This restaurant doesn't deserve a 1 star review. Their chips & salsa were bland like plain canned tomato sauce. Their chicken nachos were terrible, and was nothing more than chips with shredded chicken & cheese, they forgot to include any flavor. Their margueritas were the worst ever. We ordered two jumbo margueritas with Tajin after asking if they had Tajin and received two margueritas with salt. The server stated "we ran out of Tajin yesterday", and he opted for salt instead. Returned these for nothing on the rim and the next two tasted like lemonade, returned these also. On top of this, the server seemed to have a poor attitude like he didn't want to be at work. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone unless your preference is a minus 5 star restaurant with crappie food, fake drinks and poor service. read more

The food is good but tends to be salty but this last visit bring the holidays and after seeing they offered tamales to go I decided to order some since I hadn't had any yet this year. My fiancé is Honduran so I'm very used to their tamales but I thought I'd try something different. I found both the mass and the chicken to be terribly dried out and the whole thing was salty. I'm used to moist masa that may not be very flavorful cuz the inside ingredients are flavorful so the two go well together. Upon arrival, it almost seemed like a ghost town. A couple was preparing to leave as I entered but there wasn't anyone in the ordering area. The decor is lovely inside. Soon after we arrived, someone came in to take my order. My daughter had a taste for churros, which is why we chose this spot on this particular day. We ordered churros, the steak taco special, kid's quesadilla and fries. The wait time was quick, about 5 minutes. The food held up well during a 15 minute drive and was still piping hot. The steak tacos came with pico and guacamole and was really good. They also came with a side of rice and beans. I didn't care for the beans. My daughter liked her quesadilla and fries. She didn't really like the filing inside the churros. She said it tasted cheesy. Overall, I found the meal overpriced for what it was. I spent $30 for two tacos, a mini quesadilla and 3 churros. It didn't seem worth the price, and I ordered the lunch special. Also, the menu mentions that meals get free chips and salsa which we didn't. I guess that's for dine-in customers only. read more

The food is smashing here. I mean did they put an angel back in the kitchen cuz the food tastes Godly. I got the steak quesadilla which I just started drooling thinking about it. The chips & salsa were also a good mix and the chips were so fresh. I had a few of the Cadillac Margaritas, this drinks had me feel righteous. The only thing that I didn't like was the seating. The bench that we were sitting on was horrible on the back as if they said don't stay too long hurry up and eat. Get something more comfortable and I'll be there often. read more

The family owns three restaurants and this is the smallest of the three. It has a tiny bar. It has the same menu as the other two. It's more quaint and cozier. The service is always great. My daughter chose the taco salad, but was disappointed with it. She didn't like the beans and she had already mixed it all up. First let me start with the nachos. The Nacho's are loaded!!! I mean shredded chicken and ground beef, beans cheese queso tomatoes lettuce, and some guac.. I thoroughly enjoyed the nachos. Ordered takeout from Mi Casita as I was craving Mexican food and they satisfied my craving and then done! Portion sizes were generous! I'm a hardshell taco girlie so I knew I was taking a chance but it all worked out! Let's just say I ate them immediately! The quesadilla was full, filling and is a must order! Love the pork especially, but the chicken is wonderful, too. Beef burritos are packed and wonderfully seasoned as well. Never had a bad meal in many years of going to Mi Casita. So glad we have a good sit-down South American/Mexican restaurant nearby! Still eating my way through their menu. Had the Huevos con chorizo today. Very good, but the chorizo could use more spice. My parents and I came to Mi Casita for many years when I lived in Annapolis, 10+ years ago. We used to come here weekly, and my husband and I went on many dates here. It had probably been 10+ years since I've been back, and the food and service was just as good as I remember. This local hidden gem is often very crowded, and can get a wait since it's very small! I came at about 6:45PM on a Saturday night and there was no wait yet. I was just a party of one. I don't like to take up tables, but the bar area appeared very tiny for my liking (I love to sit at the bar) and was already full. I was greeted and seated in no time. I love the chips and salsa that comes with your meal. They still serve it in a little glass container so you can refill your own bowl as you use it. I love salsa so I like that I don't have to ask for extra because they give you plenty. I ordered the same meal I used to always get- the enchilada dinner. It comes with one beef, chicken, and cheese enchilada covered in Chile con carne sauce and rice and beans. The plate is always super hot and they bring it out with a potholder. The portions are large and enough for leftovers or for sharing. The enchiladas have a great amount of fillings inside and a nice amount of sauce on top. The rice and beans are a great portion size as well, I always have leftovers. :) The service is great, straight and to the point, I was greeted by my waiter and I'm pretty sure I was in and out in less than 30-40 minutes. Waiter checked on me often and refilled my drink when it was half empty, which is a big plus for me. I didn't have a margarita today, but they are the best and I'll have to visit again soon with friends so I can enjoy one. The house margarita is just perfect with the perfect amount of alcohol - they aren't skimpy on the tequila. Food is about average priced for a Mexican restaurant in the Anne Arundel County area. You can save some money at lunchtime as they have lunch specials. I don't mind paying up for great service and portion size, plus bonus leftovers. :) You won't be disappointed going out of your way to visit this great hidden gem. read more

I found this little gem a while ago and was in the area, so I decided to stop in for some lunch. I always try to find something new to try when I have Hispanic cuisine. They were running a special dish, the pineapple quesadilla. I decided on it and I was so glad I did. The quesadilla was cooked perfectly with avocado and grilled pineapples on the side. Inside were chorizo, shrimp, grilled green and red peppers, along with some onions with cheese. It was so packed I ate it with a knife and fork. It was delicious and so huge I took the rest home. My friend got the enchiladas and although I didn't try them she says they were very good and she would definitely get them again. This was a great experience as it is every time I go. Feliz Cinco de Mayo! I decided to order take out today to celebrate the 5th of May and taco Tuesday! The website says they open at 11am; however, they don't open until 12pm. I ordered the lunch mix fajitas ( steak, shrimp and chicken) and the lunch carne asada with chips, salsa and a pineapple Jarritos (Mexican soda). When I called in my order, they requested payment in advance so that you have limited contact with workers when picking up your food. My total came to about $30. The food was ready within 15-20 minutes. When I arrived, there was a table at the front entrance where you pick up your food. You cannot enter the restaurant. You merely provide your name and pick up your order. There is a place for tips as well. The food was well seasoned and delicious! It was a decent portion size as well. read more

First time visiting this establishment and boy am I glad I did! My good friend and I wanted Mexican as we had a girls evening ahead of us. I wish I ordered a bigger size...especially since that had a regular and jumbo option. I tend to like sweet strong drinks...so I really wanted to make it strawberry but for some reason adding the flavor meant they had to make it frozen vs on the rocks...so I kept it as is. Either way it was good!! I only remember my friend ordering the #24-which she was pleased with. Our server was nice...he even entertained my friends jokes (which aren't always funny)! None of the recently popular street-style foods, but more of the traditional entrees and combination meals served with lots of sauce and a side of rice/beans. The food quality and potions are okay. Orders arrive hot and fresh. Taste is good. They do have a few unique items on the menu such as a variation on a chicken cordon bleu, but the execution of those could be better. Service and cleanliness is good. I have had issues with the service on occasion, but they did work to make things right. Atmosphere is okay, interior seems a bit cramped as it is a small space in a strip mall.
