I don't know why people work here when they have an issue with kids. There's literally scavenger hunts, toddler programs, Lego days and all kinds of other things for children. Not to mention there really doesn't seem to be an issue with people and kids talking loudly, unless you get one of the ride librarians. It's really sad they act this way bc otherwise we really like it and come here almost weekly.

It had a really peaceful vibe. I came today for a free adult art class they had and I guess they do a free art/craft class for adults on the last Wednesday of every month. Today's class was to make pressed flower sun catchers. I cannot believe it was all free! They provided all the supplies and instruction. Mia & Helen were fabulous instructors and helped through the whole process. I can't wait to come for more classes in the future.

Once you enter the building you must go upstairs (or take an elevator) to get to the library (otherwise you end up inside the school). This library is one of the smaller branches I've been to and the layout was initially a bit confusing to me. But I soon found the adult non-fiction section and located the specific book I was after. I didn't spot any self-checkout stations so went to the front desk where a pleasant gentleman took care of things and sent me on my way. I'm rarely in this area so doubtful I'll be back and instead will take care of the book's return via the OC Library's sytem where one can return a book to any branch and it will be transported to the correct location.

Once you're through the first doors to get into the library, there's a US flag drop off box for tattered flags to be disposed of. There's a voter ballot drop off box next to the library. There's plenty of parking in the lot on a weekend morning. I walked in here looking lost and the librarian at the circulation desk immediately clocked it. She helped me find the self print area. The cost to print is 0.15 per page. Printing was quick. I forgot my PIN for my library card but I was able to update it quickly so I could add funds to pay for the label I was printing. The stairs had some rubbish probably from the students who come through here. The library is a little small but I didn't spend too much time to get to peruse all their selections.

I love this place…read more They remodeled it and it now has everything, except a coffee shop. Lot's of places to sit and read. The staff will help you with everything. Since I am a avid reader, I visit the Fiction section once every two weeks. If I have a question or can't find a book, the librarians help. Everyone is happy to work there, the AC works wonders during the summer. One of my favorite places.

When researching what to do in town, the library kept popping up, mostly because of its architecture, and I'm so glad I made it a point to walk over to the library located on the edge of town. Yes, the building is absolutely stunning and incredibly unique... but what truly made the experience extra special for me were the librarians. They were so genuinely kind and welcoming and I very proudly added an Orange County Library card to my growing collection (a personal joy, honestly). It was the perfect place to wander aimlessly amongst the stacks of books, charge my devices, sit and relax, and browse through their national park books. The Friends of the San Juan Capistrano Library Bookstore was also open and had a great selection that made it very hard to leave empty handed. This library is beautiful, peaceful, resource rich (more than just books!) I wish I lived closer so I could come more often.

This is such a gem in the Irvine community. The bookstore is behind the University Park library…read more(where you'd park) and isn't accessible from inside the library itself. I love coming in whenever they're open and browsing the new books they've put out for shelving. There's always quite a selection of books, and it can be overwhelming but the bookstore is quite organized. Books are organized by genres, and general fiction is organized by author's last name. Classics have their own wall and that section especially is great for snagging books you need for classes at a fraction of the price you'd find anywhere else. There's a section for children's and middle-grade books as well as a corner for books in different languages (I've noted a lot of Korean and Farsi books!). Prices can vary but unless they're not special editions, they usually range from $1-4, with the majority of the books I've gotten being in the $2 range. The quality of the books can vary as well but they're almost always "like new" or really good, if I were to put a label on them. Each book has a small colored sticker that's a tiny dot on the spine (that aren't sticky, they don't leave residue!) indicating when they've been shelved. Every week, a different color dot is half off. They also usually take donations but I'd call ahead to make sure. This place is entirely run by volunteers and I love that it's been around for as long as it has been. I've found some great gems here and spoken to some lovely people. I highly recommend checking this little store out!

Great place to study! My girl always goes here every Monday to study for her nursing stuff. She's…read morereally studious, but cannot focus at home so she goes to cafes and libraries to find her mojo to study. She's grateful about this place because few libraries are still open til 9pm. Not to mention, this library is one of the most safest and cleanest libraries I ever been to. Well granted I was from Long Beach/ LA area so our libraries there are pretty rough to say the least lol. I always go here, too because I can focus on my work as well. Overall, I beginning to love this place.. they have great collections of books to rent as well :) PS: Look at her pic.. so studious!
