Wanting some Peruvian Food, stopped here for late lunch and early dinner. Quickly greeted and very welcoming with some complimentary chips and homemade salsa. Menu is extensive with Peruvian and Mexican food. This visit decided to share 2 items of: JALEA DE MARISCOS Fried fish, fried calamari rings, fried yucca, and fried prawns with salsa criolla (red onions, cilantro, aji amarillo peppers) - light, crispy, fresh and cooked perfectly - enough to share with 3-4 people LOMO SALTADO: Tips of top sirloin ($5 upgrade for rib eye) sautéed with onions, tomatoes, herbs, and potatoes. Served with white rice. - blends of soy sauce and vinegar so had the salty, tangy, tad sweet - definitely good with rice to offset the saltiness Service friendly at this casual, small (a bit dark) establishment with full bar. Small parking lot with a mural of an octopus on the neighboring building wall. Located off Highway 1, Manor/Palmetto exit

Had a late lunch/early dinner here after walking from the Pacifica Pier to Mori Point on a beautiful Sunday. We were craving something with fish after watching all the whales gorging on the anchovies. As soon as we sat down, the waitperson brought our menus and a complimentary basket of tortilla chips and a dish of salsa. The salsa had really good flavor with a bit of a kick, but it was somewhat overly salty; it's good the chips weren't salted. They have a pretty extensive menu including Mexican and Peruvian food. While I was enticed by the Peruvian food, I stuck with what my budget allowed. I ordered the fish taco plate that came with 2 tacos, rice, and beans. My friend ordered the same thing and our other friend ordered the fish burrito. The tacos are the size of street tacos, so if you're a big eater, it probably wouldn't be enough food for you. The rice that came on our plates (and in the burrito, BTW) was sadly undercooked, so it was hard and not edible. We told the waitperson and he brought out a side plate of well cooked rice. The food was good, but I would have appreciated a bit more fish in the tacos. Because the rice was undercooked, my friend with the burrito was not completely happy with her order, but she ate it (would be difficult to pick rice out of a burrito!!). I think I would've given El Toro Loco three stars, but they were so friendly that I bumped it up. Friendliness and service go a long way for me!

Yuca fries, and a very nice dipping sauce with a little kick!

My favorite Peruvian dish is arroz con mariscos and this place truly hits out of the park! Great price point too, under $30 and the portion is huge and so delicious! Really good amounts of seafood, nice big prawn at the top, and every bite is so flavorful and delicious, even just the rice! Rice! The rice is the perfect amount of saucy + flavor. The yucca fries are also amazing with a perfect dipping sauce that has a little tiny kick. The chips and salsa are also one of the favorites I've ever had, super delicious salsa, slightly spicy, all made with fresh grilled tomatoes! Every single staff member here was so friendly and I had an awesome lunch! I had not been here in a few years which was a bad decision on my part. I had not been here in several years, since they are in their older location, just a block away. This current newer location is great with bar seating and beers on tap! Sitting at the corner of the bar was really fun + I had such a happy lunch. I can't wait for my next visit -- love this local spot!

Such a wonderful family restaurant! Everyone here is super friendly, and the whole place has a warm, welcoming vibe. Every Friday they have live music, which makes the atmosphere even better. The food is amazing, and their drinks are just as great. Definitely a nice spot to check out if you're in the area.

If you're looking for a great Peruvian spot in Pacifica, this is it. When I want a great Lomo saltado this is my joint. Folks here are awesome and treat their customers well, and ive never been disappointed or left hungry. Not fancy but it's a great cozy neighborhood spot

Felt like having Peruvian slash Mexican. Of course, it was the weekend, and they had music for us to enjoy, of course, with our meal. We ordered: Jalea al Marisco (to share) and each other our own dishes. Lomo saltado, fish taco meal and choros a la chalaca. Let me say, portions are big. We had leftovers for lunch today. Everything was yummy. For drinks: we ordered a 1/2 a pitcher of sangria but we ordered a pisco sour and we mixed in our pitcher of sangria hoping to make it a little big stronger. I still think puerto 27 and limon has the strongest sangria by far. We will definitely be back..

Came by to get a burrito at their old location 5 years back and decided to come back, didn't know they moved but it is a block down and has a small parking lot. I ordered the ceviche and camarones a la diabla, let me tell youuu both was so good, I was drinking the ceviche juice with each bite. And mixed the rice with all the diabla sauce together. So good so good. Just a bit pricey $40 meal for one person And I was expecting more than 5-6 shrimps.. but that's ok, I will definitely be back to try the other dishes

Prawns with garlic sauce - good!

We were actually headed to another restaurant down the street but this one had a parking lot so we decided to pull in. It didn't disappoint! We walked in to the live music setting up and there were open tables to choose from. Service was very good and felt local. I had the Lomo saltado and it was delicious! I actually make this at home too. Feels like a local place with local owners in Pacifica. We'd come back.

Drinks: I had an NA beer, which was nice, but one friend hated the white wine he ordered - if they'd had him taste it before bringing him a glass, that would've been better. My other friends had mojitos and said they didn't like the coconut rum, and would've preferred if it hadn't been flavored. Ambiance on a Sunday night was the same as I remembered when I went a year earlier - mostly groups eating near us, large TVs on the far wall showing soccer. Not a quiet place I'd want to go on a date. Note that this place is not cheap - entrees run around $40 each.

The restaurant was a little more than half full when we had dinner there on a Friday night and the ambiance is lively but not loud. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was delicious, with very generous portion sizes that left us so full (with leftovers to spare). The ceviches were bright, limey, and tart in the best way, the chicken wings were crispy and juicy, the papa rellena was especially interesting (almost like an inside-out, deep-fried baked potato) with olives and raisins that were a pleasant surprise, and the lomo saltado was as comforting and dependable as it usually is. To top it all off, they even offer Peruvian beers, which was the perfect way to wash everything down. The location is a little bit odd but easy enough to find and park (there is plenty of parking across the main street in front of the BevMo if there isn't any directly in front of the restaurant).

The seafood stew tomato based was excellent. So much seafood - mussels, clams, shrimp, prawns, squid, and a crab leg. Cons: * my friends also ordered the seafood stew tomato based. After a while they asked about it. Lost in translation. Their order never placed with the kitchen. For dessert we got the alfajores. A sandwich cookie with a layer of dulce de leche. It was very sweet. Would have been better with a strong cup of coffee. I also received a complimentary scoop of ice cream in honor of my birthday. There are some parking spaces in front of the restaurant. We circled around the block. Ended up on the same side of the street but about one long block away. The five of us said the food was delicious and we'd like to return.
