Soooo bomb!! It's rare to find a place that serves good tripa and lengua and they do both perfectly! I just moved to the neighborhood and decided to walk over to check it out. It's a cute little restaurant located in downtown Brisbane. Have a small town feel with big flavors. Did not disappoint. I met Rafael ( might be the owner not sure) but he was amazing. You place your order at the cashier and sit any any open place. Salsa and chips are delicious. Red salsa has a good kick. I can't wait to try more on the menu. The bathrooms are clean as well.

Found this hidden spot in Downtown Brisbane, and it definitely did not disappoint! I got the plate with Chile Relleno and a Chicken Enchilada for around 17 dollars with tax. At first I was skeptical cause it's definitely on the pricier side, but it also came with rice and refried beans with cheese, as well as pico, lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream. In my opinion for that amount of food and considering how hefty the Chile Relleno was the price was right! My brother got the lengua super burrito and said it was good as well. The salsa they gave us was spicy and flavorful. Also I wanted to add this is one of the few Mexican spots we've been to that actually has CRUNCHY tacos, so if that's up your alley yk this is spot for ya! Would definitely go again as they have a wide variety of options on the menu. Also interior is very nice and staff is kind and fast with orders!

Clean, cute restaurant. Food was ready fast and tasted good! Really liked the chips and fresh salsas. Burrito was perfect size with crispy breakfast potatoes, ham and eggs. Would definitely recommend and go back to try more items. Service was quick, and server was nice.

The reason why this is three stars is because I received a dinky amount of salsa and the chips taste like they are from a bag. The other items were mediocre for the price not worth coming back for, blah. They have a large drink selection and I don't know what else to say about this place but the food is overpriced for the quality. They need to focus on good food then they will make more money that way. Maybe offer some hamburgers in addition to Mexican food to attract more costumers.

Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos. Skip the Asada...

Been here a few times over the years, but never left a review. So here goes. Place is clean and decorative for a taqueria. You order from a menu on the wall. Noticed that they had divorced eggs! Normally I would be all over this but decided on tacos; one Pastor and one Asada. The spicy salsa and the pico combined with the thick chips, were the stars of this meal. Asada was flavorless. The Pastor was seasoned well but lacks pina. I'd come back but cannot recommend the Asada.

Enormous burger, cold beer, very cozy place, nice talking with people, excellent service, clean place

start with the fresh crispy tortilla chips and spicy salsa with the Pico de Gallo, then devour delicious huevos con chorizo, and the BEST pozole! Every bite is a flavor punch; bold and melt-in-the-mouth goodness.

The cheesy nachos and fresh guacamole are extraordinarily delicious!! This fantastic Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu is also is a rare gem for another reason. It arguably serves some of the last Anchor Brewing Beers left on the planet- RIP Anchor Brewing, a San Francisco tradition since 1896, now coming to an end! The service was friendly and impeccable and the restaurant was clean and had neighborly, authentic vibes.

The food, a shrimp quesadilla with refried beans, sour cream and guacamole on the side, chips, pick de gallo, and a small glass of Jamaica, was all tasty fresh, and well made. The service--order at the counter, food is brought to your table--was efficient and well handled. The ambiance is very pleasant, lots of interesting decor, lots of natural light, good acoustics. If I lived closer I would eat here often.

I'm struggling to write a review for this place because it has some good points but also some lower ones. I ordered the Crispy taco and beef enchilada. First off the chips and taco shell or anything crunchy were just not okay. The shell and chips tasted either old or from a stale bag or both. They did not taste like homemade chips or a homemade taco shell and that was a bummer. The meat was chunky and well seasoned but the red sauce was very plain. Same with the plain beans but overall okay rice. Their hot salsa was blah like a really bad bottled salsa and same for their Pico de gallo. Their horchata is a mix and not homemade and their flan is just okay. 3 stars for okay.

Clean little taqueria. Free chips and spicy salsa. A bit too expensive, overall. Food was pretty standard. Service was friendly enough.

I ordered the Godfather sandwich based on previous photos. I thought it was going to be some kind of a loaded sandwich since it was $20 after tax. When I opened the box, I was a little bit worried that I had ordered the wrong sandwich because it was about the size of my hand. I looked at the photos and I thought ma'am it's kind of looks similar, but maybe I'm just missing something as a scale. But if you look at the layers of the meat, there are actually less layers now than there were 12 and eight months ago. I'm not saying it's a bad sandwich. I'm just saying it's a bad value. The Caesar salad seemed like it was prepackaged in a box. The cheese, kind of taste like refrigerator. And there was no lemon or any kind of anchovy sauce or flavor in the dressing. At the time of writing this review, this restaurant has 4.6 stars shame on me for not reading the recent reviews because I'm not sure I would have ventured here if I did.

They also have a basket full of free tampons and pads (even pads meant for a heavy period), which was very thoughtful of them to add! There's also a lot of seats so you don't have to worry about that. Most tables came with a plug in on the floor but I found that the tables near the big window didn't have one. Maybe it was just mine though. I ordered a hot chocolate w almond milk and 2 shots which came out to be $10.16. It tasted very standard and not good at all. I don't think it's worth the price since the drink was very mediocre. Service is great though! It started to get busy around 11pm for their lunch menu I believe. There's one area meant for a large group of people to dine. It'd be a great space for meetings or just a large gathering. I think I also saw a table at the back near the restrooms that can be used but I'm not too sure. Overall, good studying place with its amazing natural lighting and pretty weeping willows to look at!

The happy hour menu was pretty awesome as well. If you aren't interested in food but looking for a place to get drinks, the cocktails here are also on point. South San Francisco is a stones throw from where we live and even though there are some solid casual spots, we don't find too many places in this area where you can get amazing food, craft cocktails, and this kind of ambiance. With that being said we were ecstatic to discover this hidden gem. It checks all the boxes!! We ordered the Caesar salad, pozole, burger & Fries, and beef tacos from the happy hour menu. Everything was so good and I am not just saying that! The Caesar salad came served with slices of avocado. Not traditional, but absolutely delicious and nicely dressed. The burger was beautiful and juicy and cooked to perfection. It came served with those french fries that have that extra layer of crispiness.on them. I call them 'next level fries' because that's what they are. My favorite thing, hands down, were the tacos. Oh my God... the tacos!! There are a lot of great Taquerias in the Bay Area but this place can contend. I'm serious. Perfect crispy tacos that came served with this beautiful salsa verde. Truthfully we ordered so much food but the tacos were so good we got another order of them. I ordered a Paloma and it was the perfect drink to go with my tacos. This was our first and only time eating here, but this will definitely be a regular spot for us. I hope moving forward this place stays as wonderful as our experience was tonight. It's such a joy to have an experience like this that doesn't require us driving to San Mateo or San Francisco. It's about time we had places like this in this area. The staff that helped us was also wonderful. The young lady who served us was friendly and helpful with the menu, the bussers were great and there was another lady who checked in on us and helped us throughout the meal. Great service, great staff, terrific food. Please keep up the good work.

However, even though I've passed by this office park numerous times, I never would've guessed there was one here! Not that I'm unappreciative, mind you - while I imagine this place can get pretty busy during the day time, I love how quiet and chill it was on a Saturday night! Located within The Cove at Oyster Point, Truffle Poke Bar is one of just a handful of retail businesses surrounded by several large office buildings (there's also a few other eateries, a Starbucks, a yoga studio, and an Orange Theory). As such, there's not much foot traffic at night, except for the waves of food delivery couriers that I saw walking in to pick up orders. However, there's a reason why so many folks order from here - the menu (and the food) look terrific! While the range of options here isn't as extensive as at other places, you'll still find all of the usual offerings, along with their signature truffle aiolis and even raw oysters! For my bowl, I opted to get their REGULAR POKE BOWL (Four Proteins, $18.95) with Ahi Tuna, Salmon, Hamachi, and Crab Salad with Scallions, Crispy Onions, Ginger, Sliced Jalapeno, Tobiko, Wasabi, Seaweed Salad, Ponzu Cucumber, Original and Ponzu Sauces, Furikake, and Truffle Aioli over Mixed Greens and White Sushi Rice. All together, unlike their menu, this thing was HUGE! All four of the proteins were terrific, the seaweed salad, ponzu cucumbers, and crispy onions, in particular, were great, and the aioli wasn't super heavy on truffle either! Plus, I liked that there was a balanced ratio of rice to proteins to toppings. While I can't say I had any major issues with my bowl, I do wish a couple of things about it were different. For one, it was a bummer to see the crab salad listed as a protein instead of a topping like at other places (though, to be fair, you get a lot of it). Also, it felt a little light on both of the sauces, as well as the truffle aioli, which I got a small dollop of. Even with those minor complaints, neither are anywhere near enough to deter me from coming back again. With all of the available parking and the wealth of seating both inside and out (on a Saturday night anyways), Truffle Poke Bar is such a convenient spot around here to stop in for a quick and easy bite. Or to order delivery from when you're stuck sitting in another meeting that really should've been an email.
